since this thread is so old, let me answer for you.

he thought it was disgusting that the thought of a muslim president was scary.

granted the conversation was about someone that wasn’t a muslim, the president.

hence, people who didn’t like the president were stating in polls that they thought the president was muslim, even though those same people were criticizing him because his reverend at his christian church was racist.

so it’s either, he’s a muslim or he’s a christian racist. hence the Lol’ and the “disgusting” of the comment above, because to a muslim it’s an insult being compared to a christian racist. I’m just assuming this stuff, and i’m drunk right now, so who nows.

Very true. Unfortunately, people are morons. There are also a lot of people who don’t realize that “Hussein” is the equivalent of “Smith” in many parts of the world. I even went to a Dr. Hussain. She turned out to be a complete idiot, but that’s beside the point!

huh? 1)How does this in any way make you think that people are considering voting for a Muslim, since there is not a Muslim in the race 2) Why not vote for a Muslim (or a Hindu, mormon, Catholic, atheist etc etc etc) as long as they are a good candidate. And also, why does it matter what religion a candidate is unless they try to push their religion on this diverse country (*cough* bush *cough*)

Thanks Casey, I’d hoped 43% was an exaggeration… >10% is scary enough.

Uncle Charlie used to admonish “Don’t believe everything you read (and only half of what you see)” because “paper will lie still for any fool to write on it.”
