So sadly true.
Photo dated 1998
You mean the previous administration. Alternate caption: “And I did away with all of these when I was president!”
[citation needed]
Well played, “steveisdumb”
Steve, stop making Steves look like idiots. We don’t appreciate that.
Unfortunately, only dolts who have never read them would agree. Never in American history has the Constitution ever applied to foreign citizens. Were it so, women in Saudi Arabia would be allowed to drive and walk down a street alone without fear of being beaten to death. Morons.
Who said anything about foreign citizens?
Amendments 4-6 have been significantly weakened by things like the Patriot Act, wiretapping, unlawful “detentions” aka kidnappings of war protesters, etc.
Try Googling “Brandon Mayfield” and then come back and tell me that this caption isn’t completely true.
Tell it sister.
Joseph..WTF…read a book.
Somebody remind me not to try to take Joseph’s guns away… I’d prefer to not have a buckshot shampoo.
If you want a political debate about whether the current regime has trampled any of our rights, have a look at amendments 4, 5, 6, and 8 first.
By the way, I’m neither a dolt, nor a moron. Please don’t let me keep you from your ESSENTIAL work, as Assistant Grease-Boy at your local Jiffy Lube.
Have fun proving your an American citizen while being detained with no rights whatsoever.
There’s a reason that, until the Bush administration, habeas corpus used to applied to both U.S. citizens and everyone in the United States. To not grant habeas corpus to someone currently in the U.S. makes it pretty much useless.
Lincoln ignored habeas corpus and F.D.R. didn’t give it to germen infiltrators detained in side the US gave them military tribunal and had them executed. no habeas corpus…
this place is getting better by the day. I hope it becomes a famous site by itself. cheers
It rocks alot. This and IHAH.
THis and IHAH are what ICHC USED to be…
On topic:
Three years ago, the Smithsonian had a special exhibition (which I think is pictured above) of the Bill of Rights, Declaration of Independence, and the Constitution at the national archives. We were futzing around on the Mall that day and saw the banner.
My Republican husband said, “Let’s go see that before this administration makes them irrelevant.”
‘THis and IHAH are what ICHC USED to be…’
Agree. I can’t handle ICHC anymore..way too many comments..too hard to read in ultra lolspeek.
I think they’re really looking for the right to healthcare, the right to lower gas prices, the right to …
Oh, wait; none of those are Constitutionally gauranteed. oops.
a-freakin-men.
So true….I’m just waiting for them to come knocking on my door and take my guns away. D.C. is broken. I say fire them ALL, and start over.
Hell yeah. And they’re standing there plotting ways to render those documents totally obsolete next year. Douchebags.
At least one specific would have show that you wern’t just parroting the rest of the terror denying bunch. If you have any honest desire to help the people of this country. Find a video clip of 911, watch it with feeling and then rewrite or retract this post.
silly comment above suggests that because terrorists attacked up we should give up everything the nation was founded upon-all our freedoms and trust that someone as dumb as the president, who got us into a needless war, should be in charge of our lives.
you had already lost many freedoms before bush was born
Abraham Lincoln also acted outside of the Constution quite a bit to get his job done, and yet he is considered to be a great president.
Wait till that “WONDERFUL” man Barrack Obama gets in…. Then we will REALLY see a “change” in The Constitution. I mean damn, this is a guy that REFUSES to salute the FLAG of the country that he will be RUNNING…
Thanks America!
What about “Habeus Corpus” being invalidated by Abe Lincon during the Civil War? Why does nobody villefy him for that like how GWB has been villefied for his “Warrentless Wiretapping”?
Not to be picky (well, ok, nevermind that bit), you might just notice a little
red line popping up under certain words when you type a comment …
yeah like obamas any better…
This caption would be more correctly applied to the Bush Administration.
The Patriot Act and Defense of Marriage Act alone, take a dump on The Constitution.
