Do I think he butchers the English language when he talks? Hell yes! And as to his intelligence?
When he first ran for office he got whipped. And the reason people gave for not voting for him was that he came across as too high faluting and intellectual. His ‘gosh, shucks persona’ is a facade.

Secondly, as to his intelligence. He outsmarted all the Dems TWICE. How’s that make you feel? Being outwitted by the slackwit? (insert donkey HEE-HAW sound here)

Then you have Obama, who cannot understand why the lackwits and yahoos of the Appalachians won’t acquiesce and vote for him as the golden child messiah who will save them all

People don’t have a problem with intellectual leaders; they have a problem with leaders who actually hold them in utter contempt

I was a ‘C’ student, and dropped college to run a number of high-profile, publicly trading companies. And I’m not even thirty. Whoopty-freakin-doo. You can do what you want, if you know how to set your mind to it.

You don’t have to be the smartest, simply, surround yourself with smart people (even if they make you look bad). You don’t have to know how to do everything, simply, surround yourself with people who do. Clinton was horrible in this aspect (he wanted to look good).

Doesn’t Article I of the Constitution set the powers of Congress, which includes a lot of powers named in Section 8. Haven’t more Constitutional amendments granted Congress additional powers?

Doesn’t Congress have authority over financial and budgetary matters, through the power to “lay and collect taxes (and they LOVE that part), duties, imposts and excises, to pay the debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the United States.”

Doesn’t the Sixteenth Amendment give power of taxation to INCLUDE income taxes?

Doesn’t the Constitution also give Congress power over appropriating funds, with all government spending required to be included in congressional appropriations? Or give Congress i the authority to borrow money on the credit of the United States, regulate commerce with foreign nations and among the states, and coin money?

Or how about where it also gives Congress an important role in national defense, including the exclusive power to declare war, to raise and maintain the armed forces, and to make rules for the military?

Or establish post offices and post roads, issue patents and copyrights, fix standards of weights and measures, establish courts inferior to the Supreme Court, and “To make all laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into execution the foregoing powers, and all other powers vested by this Constitution in the government of the United States, or in any department or officer thereof.”?

The power to admit new states to the Union?

The “Oversight Committee”?

To veto the President?

So I ask again, Congress doesn’t have much to do with it?

What have they done to advance the Country?
