Correct me if I’m wrong, but weren’t Homosexuals persecuted under the Nazi Regime, and if not, weren’t the mentally or physically disabled also persecuted? Besides, you can’t say any one form of government is bad because of a certain example or examples, just like you can’t say an autocracy is good because there was a good leader. In my opinion, the common man’s treatment by the government is a bit of a game of chance, no matter what government you have (besides a divine monarchy) you will have your share of the bad and the good.
