He was one of the best interviewers on network TV, but that's not saying a whole lot. You folks who think he was just so totally unbiased and couldn't figure out which side he leaned to are either naive or lying to yourselves. To prove the point, check out how he got started in his career: it was as a political flunky to extreme the left-wing (I doubt if you whippersnappers remember Daniel Patrick Moynihan, but mabe you've heard of Mario Cuomo), not as a holy unbiased impartial news guy.

That said, again, he was one of the best that are out there today. He at least seemed to give an effort to hitting his interviewees from several different sides of an issue. Seemed like a real family guy too. RIP.

It isn't. This is a tribute to Tim Russert, a great man who died of a heart attack recently. He was the host of Meet the Press and a regular contributor to the Today Show.
This site doesn't have to use humor to get your attention.

p.s. Why, God? Why couldn't you take Rush Limbaugh instead?

Epic fellatio. A TV talking head drops dead; the rest of the talking heads fawn over him because they'd like the same treatment when they kick off; and the sheeple go along with it.

Hey all,

Now I am certainly not trying to disrespect the fine and outstanding work this man did. I appreciate his fairness and ability (and commitment) to asking the tough questions, no matter who the guest. But epic legacy? I can only hope so. What made him different was his ability to maintain a fair approach to every guest on his show even though he was personally liberal. I fear that most of the journalists in the country are applauding that one of the last white knights of journalism is gone. Not being an expert in journalism, I throw the question out to all of you, in an era when the severe majority of news sources are liberal (CNN, MSNBC, etc) or conservative (FNC), will any legacy, let alone an Epic Legacy, be allowed?
