But if you are a Muslim, then you ARE to take part in Jihad or support others doing so. That’s an ESSENTIAL part of the faith, of which is the goal of subjugating the rest of the non-Muslim world and implementing Sharia law.

Technically, “moderate” muslims (I assume that’s what you mean by “American” here) are backsliders. They are supposed to be supporting those taking part in Jihad. Whether there are muslims that don’t obey this command or not is irrelivent.

It depends on what type of Muslim you are, for many people that is not at all true. Although it is true for some extremists.

I haven´t seen any stoning for adultery by sane, non-WBC christians, have you? Pretty sure there´d be a pissing match about that if it happened and rightly so.
I’m also fairly certain the penalty for eating shellfish in the Bible was stoning. And shaving your beard. And a whole host of other things as well. I could be wrong, but it *was* a pretty popular form of capital punishment back then – ‘That’s different! Throw rocks at it till it goes away!!!’
I guess if you want to simplify the entire old testament that way fine, but actually the culture of Israel was the one that was different, and any mimicking of another culture was feared because it spread to easily. Secondly, most of the other cultures thougth child sacrifice, canabalism, and a host of other things we find totally and completely wrong were every day stuff for people other then the Israelites.
Then again when you read a website that has some hate of the bible it usually just goes down to one or two sentence dash marks that are fun and easy to say but usually with a little research easily solved.
But I´m crazy, why would anyone want to read books these days!
