I got this picture straight off THIS WEBSITE ITSELF. There was no description with it or anything. If I had know that this was a terrorist attack, I WOULDN’T HAVE USED IT…

It’s all bullshit. Solar flares, benefits from increased carbon, the time delay, the “it exists but not that much” arguments – these are all based in logical fallacy.

Solar activity, on record, has been occuring at intervals that stretch much farther back than the heating of the earth has, with no similar upheaval.

The benefits of increased carbon are short term – plants will grow faster until their roots turn over, and they begin to regulate their absorption again.

The ocean time delay, and the release of carbon from the water, is a positive feedback cycle. Yes, the ocean’s release of carbon will contribute to the warmth of the earth, but the spark was the greater increase of warmth.

What people need to realize is that there is a chain reaction going on. The human cause seems small at first, but you must realize that it is not an ecologically evolved process. The Earth puts out and absorbs the same amount of carbon in an equilibrium. Any increase from us, by burning fuels, is more than the Earth essentially had planned for. That means that any degree of warming will affect more potent things, like the ice that covers the methane laced soil near the arctic, which when uncovered adds an even more potent greenhouse gas to the atmosphere.

I must express the level of complexity of all of these interactions. Every time you hear someone “debunk” global warming, they have more often than not failed to make one connection or another. Environmental science and history is a long and intensive process. If you build a bridge without factoring in wind, you have a disaster. The same holds true in global warming.

It’s our DUTY to be tasteless! It protects the very FOUNDATION of our freedoms! You MUST laugh, and LAUGH OUT LOUD. CRITICISM = REPERCUSSIONS!!!! WE CAN’T HAVE CRITICISM…unless it is me or my view doing the criticizing….in which case, it’s free speech again.

What’s funny is not that anyone disputes individuals rights to post something like this, just whether or not it’s in good taste or particularly humorous, of which I find it neither.

An Oklahoma church canceled a controversial gun giveaway for teenagers at a weekend youth conference.

Windsor Hills Baptist had planned to give away a semiautomatic assault rifle until one of the event’s organizers was unable to attend.

The church’s youth pastor, Bob Ross, said it’s a way of trying to encourage young people to attend the event. The church expected hundreds of teenagers from as far away as Canada.

“We have 21 hours of preaching and teaching throughout the week,” Ross said.

A video on the church Web site shows the shooting competition from last year’s conference. A gun giveaway was part of the event last year. This year, organizers included it in their marketing.

I believe in responsible speech. I think its sill to do things such as protest at a soliders funeral, or hate speech against someone. In this example, everyday you´ve complained about bush. You´ve said your peace, whats the point in complaining more? You may have free speech but most of you don´t know the responsbility of whens a good time to speak and whens a good time to wait your turn.

Clinton inherited 7.5% unemployment from Bush I and brought the unemployment rate down EVERY YEAR he was in office.

Bush II inherited 4.0% unemployment from Clinton and has been unable to do any good. Current unemployment stands at 5.5%. While 1.5% doesn’t sound like much, we’re talking about ~ 1.5 million people who want jobs and can’t find one. That is not good for America.
