I can’t believe that it takes an international observer to GET what American politics has come to. THANK YOU, seriously. People will blindly follow anyone their magazine of choice tells them to these days. I don’t like Obama OR McCain, but then again I actually pay attention to their political platforms and behavior, which appalls me on both fronts. Americans wonder why the rest of the world sees us as a joke, but then we have a political system that relies more on star status than real political issues that pretty much proves we’re idiots.
Clinton, Obama, and even McCain supporters to some extent, are guilty of this.

I fail to understand how this is a “McCain is old” joke– I see it a lot more as “Obama has a pathetic cult following” joke.

Honestly, I don’t get the McCain is old debate at all… I still think that he’s significantly more qualified than an anti-American lunatic like Barack. How a freshman senator managed to get the nod from the Democrats is still something that amazes me, because personally I don’t think that even someone who’s been a senator for thirty years has presidential qualification.

Oh well, I’ll just have to suck up the fact that Romney won’t be on the ballot this time around and vote for the lesser of two liberals.
