Well really is calling ANYONE ‘sweetie’ a bad thing??? Calling someone a C$%$ is a bad thing, sweetie is an affectionate term… Ppl need to check there anal sensibilities in this world…
I used to take thousands of americans around the whitsunday islands, I USED to be able to snorkel with them, pick up certain sea animals like starfish etc but NOT ANY MORE… those american tourists can’t leave their lawyers at home… One couple tried to sue us because the guys mask leaked ffs… if his face wasn’t shaped like a fekn whopper with extra cheese then he wouldn’t have a problem… Now when you go to this awesome destination your host marine biologist can only sit in the dingy with some paper and count you again and again… boring… thanks to attitudes like that above… GO STARVE IN FEKN AFRICA THEN TALK ABOUT PERSONAL SPACE…

I think the reaction would have been the same to be honest but I don’t see that happening. Most people know better than to touch anyone who isn’t a friend or very close acquaintance.
Would you lay hands like this on a coworker that you see maybe once every 2-3 months? How would you feel if your coworker who you see infrequently did this to you out of the blue?
I think it is an awkward position to be put in, she was likely one of the very few women there and the implied slight is fairly clear – only thing he could have done to make it more obvious is ask her to get him coffee and pat her on the ass on the way out… or call her sweetie. I am not pleased that Obama slipped like that. It does show a lack of respect but it is very different than actually physically intruding on someone.

Yeah, srsly. She probably has been spied on during her entire adult life (first by the stasi, and then by that security camera outside her apartment that was found last year) and we know she loves her privacy.. so I’m guessing she was always against those measures. But when it comes down to civil liberties vs. security… uh, Idk, I don’t want to get into this discussion.

Just lol’ing! I mainly come here to have a little fun in my otherwise boring work filled day. I really don’t think Bush meant any harm by this. Remember Obama dismissing a reporter by calling her “sweetie”? No one ever says anything about that anymore and if Bush had ever done that, well you can imagine… Just think to yourself, what if this had been Obama who did this instead of Bush, that should put it in it’s proper perspective.

I agree, although I have to say this, the conservatives in Deutschland are far far far more liberal, than those of the US. Merkel I think is more liberal than Hillary even.

You’re right in a way. Two fun facts about Wyoming which makes me cringe (and should make you as well)

1. Wyoming is a very very red state. We have more guns than people here.

2. Dick Cheney is from Wyoming.

As for Pub Crawl, we refer to it as Bar Hopping (or in the case of Wyoming, Booze bouncing, since there aren’t all that many bars to hop.)
