    bacon!

  2. jdotcole says:

Forgot. Tibetans. And people who insist on breathing. oh, and Tibetans.

  3. Fank says:

No smoking allowed?! I am so there! I can do without cheese.

  4. Hannah says:

    Learn to spell Beijing.

  5. Justin says:

That might have been funny, but I kept retching at the spelling mistakes.

  6. rachel says:

I hear Canada wont let you in their country if you have ANY criminal record – I heard there was a successful businessman in his fifties that wanted to vacation in Canada but boarder patrol refused to let him in because he stole a candy bar when he was 16. They will look up your records, and no matter how minor or long ago your crime was, they WONT let you in. Lame.

    • Tseran says:

How about you provide a link with actual news instead of spouting some third hand knowledge from a friend of a friend. And Even if there was a small kernel of truth to it, that is not a bad idea. I wouldn’t want criminals in my country.

    • Glory says:

Really? I live in Canada and it seems to me that the criminals are the only ones who get in. If that’s really how it is that would be awesome. Also noone who wants to move here so the government will pay them to live in luxury(sp?), noone who refuses to associate with the people who were born here, noone who insists that the laws and crap get changed to suit them even though if we were to go there we would have to live by their rules, noone who will come here then constantly complain how much better it is where they come from….I dont mind immigrants but people who come here and disrespect my home should leave. imho.

      • durr says:

so which aboriginal tribe are you part of?

        • glory says:

Not that it matters much but my gran was a member of the Whycocomagh tribe or band. I wasnt saying that people who are are citzens should not have a say. Im saying if you arent a citzen you shouldnt get a say. part of the privalege of citezenship is that you get a say in how your country is run. And I think to many people come here to take advantage of us and disrespect us. I have no problem with any immigrant who trys

          • durr says:

            oy, fail at–everything.
people complain about their life, it’s human nature not “immigrant” nature or “criminal” nature (nice of you to lump those as synonymous). being a citizen is just an application on paper or luck of the draw. it doesn’t some how give you the right to complain and take for granted everything else nor does moving here hand you life on a silver platter.
you want to know why some people will complain that life was better? they are offered jobs as doctors and other prestigious careers they are currently employed as, and pack up their family and head out only to find their credentials are useless and they are required to do 4+ years of school here that they have already completed. They are then forced to do some crappy ass job where they get taken advantage of and treated like crap by the ever educated masses. you think they don’t miss their family and their familiarities?

screw that, if i was offered a job in my profession and moved to another country and now i deliver some jackass’s pizzas if i am lucky. forget about christmas or thanksgiving or any other traditions you might hold dear because you’re not a citizen and you don’t count.

            give me a break.
and learn how to formulate a coherent sentence/thought. if making outrageous, uneducated and biased claims doesn’t make you seem like a moron, the inability to actually communicate like you made it passed grade 10 will.

            • glory says:

oh wow. I don’t even know if i should bother responding as it seems you take everything I say in the worst possible way. I am not lumping criminals and immigrants together. nor am I saying that immigrants should be treated like crap. What I am saying is that in Canada, there are a large number of immigrants who come here who are criminals. I’m not talking petty crime either, Im talking career criminals, murderers etc. And there are a large number of people who move here, BY CHOICE to live off welfare(refugees receive 3X the welfare that disabled citzens receive, why?) or who constantly say how much better their country is. If its so much better there, GO LIVE THERE! Criminals should not me allowed in. Criminals from other places should be sent back there so they are dealt with. Whether it is another city, province or country, dont care, we have enough of our own criminals we dont need to have more. If i moved to china, saudi arabia, india whatever, I would expet to have to follow the laws in that culture, If I choose to move there I can choise to leave if i don’t like it. I would be expected to learn the language, and I would expect that people would be forgiving when I try but get annoyed when I expect everyone to learn and follow what I do because Im different. You dont go to a muslim country and not wear proper clothing. you dont go to that city that i dont recall the name of right now(they cane you for chewing gum) and chew gum so why is it acceptable to come to canada and refuse to identify yourself(even when special arrangements are made so you can do so in accord with your religion) when you vote? for example? How is it exceptable for people to move here and refuse to even try to learn the language?
AS to people who come here expecting to get high level jobs, why did they not get said job before they moved? You cant move somewhere and expect theat you qualifications will still be ok. You can’t even go from one province to the other in some cases. Get the job, then move.
If you think my writing is bad, my apologies. I will not make excuses. I do however have a higher education. Have you ever read anything written by an engineer? If you think my writting is bad…..

    • durr says:

i heard you were an idiot.
      here, have some delicious glass.

    • hergieburbur says:

Records from any crime committed while a minor are expunged when you turn 18. Lame rumor Fail.

    • Jane says:

I would tell you what an idiot you are, but I think my good friends here at punditkitchen have taken care of it. If you ever try to travel to Canada I hope they deny you entry for pure abject stupidity.

    • Fal says:

To be fair you guys are the ones crazy enough to charge a 16 year old criminally for stealing a chocolate bar and then not pardon him. The US also won’t let Canadians with criminal records in either. You started it :p

    • Million.$.Guetto says:

      Australia have a better system.

      Criminal convictions are mandatory.

    • CultureGeek says:

Now that you mention it, one of my favorite musicians will not play in Canada because, while they do not say that they will refuse him entry for having had drug charges when he was very young (he has been in recovery for about a decade), they always refuse him entry at the border, and he has to cancel whatever engagement he has there. We are not talking “career criminal” here– this is somebody who was arrested 10 years ago for things that are practically legal in Canada, being denied entry when all he wants to do is go to Canada, contribute to an event that brings tourism to Canada, and then leave Canada.
I like Canada– if it were not for the climate, I might have moved there during the last administration– but that does not make any damn sense.

      • urclueless says:

Climate? Do you really think that the temperature magically drops at the border. I’m sure there is an online geography class that you could take to cathc up on what you missed in school. Canada has two deserts by definition, one in the Arctic… which obviously is colder and one in Southern BC complete with Sand Dunes.

And No…. we don’t want any one elses criminals, just like the US doesn’t. If I have a criminal record I can’t get into your country either, this isn’t some archaic law that only happens north of the 49th.

PS you can get a pardon, I went to an STP concert here last summer and I ma pretty sure Scott Weiland has a fairly lengthy record.

    • hunthicks says:

Funny, they let Snoop Dogg in. Most countries won’t let criminals in, that’s what pardon services are for.

  7. Dan says:

Should have left out smoking. The Chinese smoke like chimneys.

    • PloCoon says:

Agreed. I did a project on smoking in a health class last semester in college. I noticed a certain percentage (60% of Chinese males smoke) and got interested, so I did some math… There are more male smokers in China than there are people in the United States!

I’m surprised they didn’t include Christians. China is one place where Christians are persecuted most (although the persecuted church there is growing fast!).

  8. Random says:

    xD That’s great!

  9. liberalfanpundit says:

    lol mccain is old

  10. The Ghost of Hunter Thompson says:

    Greetings from Nixon’s paradise.

  11. Green Is Good says:

They left out people who spit on the sidewalk.

  12. hueydoc says:

This means they won’t let in McCain or Obama! Maybe it’s not too bad of an idea…..

  13. ? says:

Where is Bejing? And what is a peaple? Apparently they smoke but ….

    • Bejing; (beh-JINGh!!).
The sound of a slot machine as the wheel stops spinning.
      e.g. Be-JING be-JING be-JING!!1! “JACKPOT!! WOOT!!”.

      Peaple; (Pee-a-apple).
      A slightly deformed pineapple.
e.g. “Wow, Dave. Thats a shit looking peaple dude.”

      Please, stop your applauding, really…

  14. yobimbo says:

    “…and girls.”

  15. Fisk says:

I don’t get it, is this supposed to be funny? If anything in it was connectable to any of the real discriminations made by the chinese government it might have been funny, this was just a lame atempt by some dude whos knowledge of China seemingly is only almost as great as his spelling skills. :/

  16. anonymous says:

There is a “peaple” in there. This has switched from a communism fail to a grammar and spelling fail.

  17. dhatth says:

isnt most of the country buddhist?

    • nettie says:

Sadly, not so much anymore. The Cultural Revolution did a good job of eliminating Buddhism from China. My SIL, who is American Born Chinese, was in Shanghai 2 years ago, and was stopped on the street by 2 Buddhist monks because they saw she was wearing a jade Buddha and this was something they hardly ever see. They were so excited to see a Chinese Buddhist in China.

Otherwise, I LOLed at the caption. And I have a pretty big beef at the Chinese Government.

      • Fatzilla says:

I don’t like the Chinese. They want to make it so THEY decide who the next Dalai Lama is. So it will be goverment controlled.

        • ice_army says:

Racist FAILURE. You mean to say, you don’t like communism, or the chinese government. Instead of protesting their policies, you instead insult an entire culure, and the very people you supposedly support(the buddists). Chinese buddists are CHINESE. Think before typing, fatzilla. You make the rest of us look unneccesarily ignorant.

          • ema says:

He probably means the Chinese government, that is the way I took it…

            • skyblueandblack says:

There’s a big distinction. When we say we don’t like Iraqis because we don’t like fundamentalists who blow up American soldiers, we allow a huge blur in our minds. It does end up being racism if we allow such generalizations to be the basis of our opinions of people. That’s why people in turbins are stopped in airports; it’s not because they’re bad people but because they have some vague similarities to terrorists. How many were there, exactly? It’s a tiny percent of the population, surely not a representative sample.

This is the whole reason the Israel-Palestein conflict has still not been resolved: instead of hating the few people who are killing their friends and neighbors, they hate the entire population of the other group/country/religion. “They” refers here to a large group of both Israelis and Palestinians who want all-or-nothing. Again, not all are violently opposed to a compromise.

  18. bob roberts says:

RACIST FAIL. Why not go to China and see for yourself? Dont like their government? Then by all means go fight it, or get Bush to invade. Free Tibet for the Americans? So you can drive your SUV up to Lhasa and have a latte at the palace starbucks?

Better yet, dont like China? Then stay the hell back home. Dont buy their stuff or watch their olympics or eat their food.

  19. pom says:

hell, it’s nice to know this is the kind of image we’re projecting… and that we’re so well liked.

  20. bprme says:

    You forgot Christians and Hindus.

  21. Jessicat says:

Well, that rules me out. I eat cheese.

  22. Mel says:

you forgot Falun Gong as well, and protesters

  23. Greg Skibo says:

My neighbor has 2 llamas, and named one of them Dolly. I think the other one is Edna.

  24. skyblueandblack says:

Reminder: Not all Chinese reflect the Chinese government. The whole censorship thing, including removal of the word “mourn” from any PeoplePeople post for a month following every yearly anniversary of Tiananmen Square, means whatever disagreements the Chinese people have with their government don’t reach American ears. (PeoplePeople is the literal translation of the Chinese equivalent of Facebook.)

Second Reminder: Things were never fixed by complaining. The humor may or not be well-appreciated, but let’s not all get into fights over a joke. It’s not why you’re on this site! (Or if it is, find someplace else, please.)

Third Reminder: It doesn’t make you sound smarter when you insult someone. Even if they made a terrible, stupid or racist comment, or badly misspelled relatively simple words, your rebuttal needs to be polite to be taken seriously. I’m speaking specifically of name-calling. Just because you’re not talking to someone in person doesn’t mean you need to replace an angry voice with ugly words. The internet has rules of courtesy, too.
