  1. Me says:

I farted. Does that count as polluting?

    • Trainwreck Chaser says:

I´m Algors worst nightmare in that case.

And yes I spelled his name that way on purpose.

      • jellybeans says:

Zomg! The methane emissions from your butt are ruining my ozone layer!!! My fiance would say my butt should have been covered by the Kyoto protocol – he didn’t know that girls often cut them loose at home, just never in public.

Gore does have that “good lord what died in your ASS??!!??” expression going. :)

I still like him though and every time I play Civ4 I giggle because his picture appears when your civilization discovers the Internet.

    • Katie-cup says:

      pwned xD

  2. Trainwreck Chaser says:

    Greatest threat in the world….

    MANBEARPIG! half man, half bearpig.

That episode got me VERY close to crying.

  3. Alchemical says:

YOU TELL THEM, MR. GORE! YOU TELL THEM!

  4. hergieburbur says:

Pretty much anything that come out of his mouth is pollution.

  5. V says:

Hypocrisy fail. Although he has a message of being “green”, efficient, and non-pollutant, his house alone is one of the largest un-”green” inefficiencies of the US. Scholars have shown that his carbon footprint is about 10000 times larger than the carbon footprint of the average American.

YOU TELL THEM MR. GORE! Tell other people how to live, but don’t adhere to any of it yourself.

    • hergieburbur says:

Maybe in his case, that’s hypocrisy win?!

    • Jane says:

Scholars have also shown that Jesus rode on dinosaurs.

Now here in the real world we ask for some citation if you’re going to spout off about the mouth.

      • Evil Pundit says:

Just google “al gore electricity bill”.

Gore’s home uses about 20 times more energy than an average American family.

        Pretty serious hypocrisy there.

      • hergieburbur says:

USA Today work for ya: http://www.usatoday.com/news/opinion/editorials/2006-08-09-gore-green_x.htm

Or if you prefer the right wing slant (I don’t): http://newsbusters.org/blogs/noel-sheppard/2007/07/23/more-al-gore-hypocrisy-inconvenient-truth-wasn-t-carbon-neutral

Or from a more environmentally conscious source: http://i-r-squared.blogspot.com/2007/02/is-al-gore-just-another-hypocrite.html

Or you can google Al Gore Hypocrisy, and find all you need to know. I am a Democrat, and even I think he’s totally full of it.

If you want a summary, he lies about his carbon neutrality, opts not to buy his energy from green sources, received subsidies for underground mining operations on his property, etc…

OR if you prefer a real news source:

        http://www.usatoday.com/news/opinion/editorials/2006-08-09-gore-green_x.htm

Do those work for you? Basically, he lies about his carbon neutrality, opts not to spend extra on hi electricity bill to get clean energy, owns large amount of stock in environmentally controversial oil companies, etc.

Here’s a quote to whet your whistle:

“Humanity might be “sitting on a ticking time bomb,” but Gore’s home in Carthage is sitting on a zinc mine. Gore receives $20,000 a year in royalties from Pasminco Zinc, which operates a zinc concession on his property. Tennessee has cited the company for adding large quantities of barium, iron and zinc to the nearby Caney Fork River.”

        Google is your friend.

See the link in my name for more. Basically, he lies about his carbon neutrality, opts not to spend extra on hi electricity bill to get clean energy, owns large amount of stock in environmentally controversial oil companies, etc.

WTF just happened there? I tried to post those earlier and they never came through, now like 4 hours later they show up? Comment Fail.

        • Jane says:

Holy freaking God hergieburbur, what the crap was that?! ;) In all seriousness (and I did think about writing this in the initial post because I was pretty sure that I wasn’t going to be understood, however I went for berevity, always a mistake) I actually wasn’t implying that V was wrong, I was only showing my hatred for the vague term “scholars have shown”. It is such a stupid nonsensical phrase that could mean anything and everything. It’s like “historians agree” or “scientists have said”. It sounds impressive and doesn’t mean anything. However, I would like to thank everyone who DID do their homework and went link posting happy. I lurv teh interwebz!

          • hergieburbur says:

Yeah, sorry bout that, I don’t have a clue how that happened.

            • hergieburbur says:

It was 4 attempts at the same thing if you didn’t see that, it WASN’T me trying to force a point. My posts kept not working, and all of a sudden they all showed up.

    • CGS says:

I’m surprised that I haven’t heard or read any comments about his traveling during the Live Earth, or whatever that was called, concerts. He started his day at some hootenanny in Nashville, then miraculously appeared at Giants Stadium in New Jersey hours later. I seriously doubt he traveled using some “carbon neutral” transportation, such as a bicycle. Even a Prius couldn’t have made that trip in such a short time.

      • hergieburbur says:

But if you buy someone else’s carbon neutrality (or at least claim to), its all OK. Besides, almost everyone famous that attended that did the same thing, their rational was that “We are doing more good than harm.”

        • Free2B says:

Rationality is the true antithesis of common sense (which isn’t really so common if the market for carbon credits is any indication).

  6. Duke says:

    No…well..maybe just a bit?

  7. lolbammy says:

“Pollution”? How 70s. It’s all about CO2 and hypotheticals, not pollution.

  8. Herr Kub says:

Stop the livestock from farting and Global Warming is solved without taking one automobile off the roads.

Srsly… if it smells like bovine excrement… it probably came out of Al Gore.

  9. Jane says:

I love this picture, the expression on his face is craaaaaazy. ;)

  10. flingthecow says:

‘OH MY GOD!! IS THAT A LOW-EFFICIENCY LIGHTBULB??!!’

  11. BluSlaad says:

Best. *snort* Pic. *hack* Ever. *hic*

  12. lilkitty says:

Take away the comments and it looks like he wants to give the mic head.

  13. Ragnell says:

    My favorite pix

  14. Dudio says:

So says the man who has a swimming pool that uses more fuel than the average American household.
