Well, at least she knew that it was polite to wear black for a witchhunt.

I’m surprised they didn’t tie a carrot to her nose, though.

She turned me into a newt!

I’m pretty sure she weighs the same as a duck…

      • PortlandMark says:

So, you’d be okay with Obama excluding all republicans from working at the DoJ? Awfully big of you!

        • Nutsomania says:

          i would be.

          i’m big.

i’d be okay with the earth excluding all republicans from living on it. <3

            liked that on Nutso

Scratch a liberal, find a fascist.

            • The Crapture says:

*”I tell people don’t kill all the liberals. Leave enough so we can have two on every campus — living fossils — so we will never forget what these people stood for..” – R Limbaugh

*”My libertarian friends are probably getting a little upset now but I think that’s because they never appreciate the benefits of local fascism” – A Coulter

*”The day will come when unpleasant things are going to happen to a bunch of stupid liberals and it’s going to be very amusing to watch” – Lee Rogers KSFO – AM

*”There were, and are, “two incompatible moral visions for this country. We had to settle it then. We’re going to have to settle it now. I hope not with blood, not with guns, but we’re going to have to settle it nonetheless. The good news is that I think our side is finally ready to settle it. Roll up its sleeves, take off its jacket, and get a little bloody. Spill a little blood. We’ll settle it. And we’ll win. And then there’s no holding us back. ” – Rabbi Daniel Lapin

*”I repeat: Should the entire American Left fall over dead tomorrow, I would rejoice, and order pizza to celebrate. They are not my countrymen; they are animals who happen to walk upright and make noises that approximate speech. They are below human. I look forward to seeing each and every one in Hell.” – some twit @ Redstate

scratch a wingnut, find a hypocrite

              • Evil Pundit says:

I don’t approve of any of those quotes. Given a few minutes on Google, it’s easy to find equally hateful stuff from liberals.

But those people aren’t commenting here. Nutsomania is, and is advocating the extermination of people who disagree with his politics.

                • bittervoter says:

For the record, I’m a pretty unabashed liberal, but I’ll certainly never say that there aren’t “liberals” saying hateful stuff. Occasionally I cringe internally at some of the stuff people on the liberal side say here because it departs from the realm of rational debate. It’s rather easy for people on any end of the political spectrum to be assholes on the internet, what gets me is that Coulter and Limbagh manage to say the crazy shit they do on air.

            • my teacher says:

Fascism is on the far right of the political spectrum. Liberal means the left side.

              Perhaps:
Scratch a conservative, find a facist.
Strach a liberal, find a communist.
Scratch a centerist, find a push over.

              • Voice of Reason says:

Sorry to comment on something 2 weeks old but according to Mousilini, a facist is someone who puts the good of the state ahead of the good of the individual. In this JFK’s “Ask not” quote could be considered the pinnable of fascism. Or maybe “El Dulche” has a bad definition?

        • lolbammy says:

Snicker. Sorry, but I can’t take a “scandal” seriously when it boils down to keeping Democratic appointments in place for longer than normal. Clinton sacked the Republicans immediately.

          • PortlandMark says:

You are so wrong, philosophers weep to hear you speak…

Monica Goodling is in the hotseat because she made a policy of only hiring
people who correctly answered questions regarding their stance on
abortion, who supported Bush enthusiastically, and were able to withstand
an internet search of their written work to make certain they were
            conservative enough. This is illegal.

The hiring/firing of prosecutors scandal was about firing prosecutors
who refused to abuse their power by prosecuting politically motivated
            cases. Whole ‘nother thing.

  4. bittervoter says:

Ok, this is AWESOME!!! I don’t care what anyone else says “Harry Potter reference + political humour =win”.
She behaved in an unethical and illeagal way, whine all you want, she deserved mockery (and jail time).

  5. boink says:

    repost…still funny though

  6. Steve S says:

What did she do wrong ? Every president gets rid of attorneys they don’t want and hires new ones, right ?
    I never understood this.

    • MusicMom870 says:

I’ll try to help. The idea is symbolized by the blindfolded lady holding the scales. Our system of justice can only work effectively if the people making the decisions about which cases to investigate and prosecute can consider the situation based on the merits of the case. All people are/should be equal under the law.
Some positions in the Dept. of Justice are political appointments. The people chosen to fill these positions can expect to serve during the administration which appoints them, and they’ll probably be replaced with the next election. But some positions are not. In these positions it’s critical for the credibility of our system that they be as unbiased as is humanly possible. And there are laws in place to protect that.
What Ms. Goodling, and others, under A. G. Gonzales did was to break the law by using political considerations when hiring for career attorney positions. And they fired certain US Attorneys to get revenge for prosecuting prominent republicans and to impede ongoing investigations of others.
This oversimplifies it a lot. I’d encourage you to read about this case, because it’s not just about what this one lady did, and it’s really important to all of us that we never let this happen again, regardless of what party is in power.

    Regent University = Republican Madrassa

  8. hueydoc says:

Lie like Bill and Hillary, girl!!!!!!!!!!

  9. Guess Again says:

Why is it that everyone criticizes Clinton? yeah, he screwed up and lied about having sex with an intern as if that’s worse than a president being responsible (as HEAD of the armed services) for thousands and thousands of people being dead as a result of pack of lies. This goes beyond any reasoning. Anything that the president claims as “faulty intelligence” is complete bullsh*t, in that same way, we shouldn’t even BE in Iraq. By the way, we supported Saddam for years. Know HOW he got the mustard gas to kill the Kurds in the late 80′s? We GAVE those weapons to him, we supported him for YEARS, just google “Rumsfeld and Saddam shaking hands.”
“It was years ago,” some people are going to whine. Fine. Sure. Whatever serves ones interests is OKAY. It’s “good” for democracy.
By the way, I don’t like Clinton either, in case any of you conservbit*hes wanted to know. Or sell-out Obama.
–This has been a public-service rant–

  10. This is awesome simply for the quote. <3
