The feminine rattan version of a masculine metal and/or plexiglass riot shield…we just like the ‘she’ part to come first.

Wow. I think shields were more effective 1000 years ago.
What with modern advances in brick technology and all….
Well, what I meant to say is, shields from 1000 years ago would be better against bricks than those shields.
I’m thinking not. Bamboo is strong enough to take the force without damage, and it is significantly lighter than a iron shield. My top choice for a shield these days would be Kevlar wrapped around a strong plastic, but the type most riot police use would be almost as good.
