We all know how it ended up.

Now, in December 2008, even Russians themselves have admitted that there were no ” thousands of killed civilians”, just over a hundred, besides many of those killed by Russians themselves.

Blah blah about town of Chinvali being “leveled” and turned into heap of rubish has turned out about to be BS – if I remember it correctly, around 10% of houses are damaged, ’cause separatists had their positions in there.

Ridiculous when you talk about Russian “peace keepers”. Those guys for years have behaved like occupation forces in Georgia, arming, guarding and coordinating activities of separatists, who have continuously firing at Georgians, even using artillery.

Funny, that even Russian own media had reported, that Russian 58th army entered South Osetia even before the start of the conflict. Just like the Georgians claim. They say – they took it for invasion and acted in self-defence. This looks to be true.

What about Russians using cluster bombs to kill civilians? They killed a reporter, Reuters I guess, live on TV. Were targeting town’s market square. Intentionally. Isn’t it a war crime?

Russian horror stories about Georgian soldiers murdering Osetinian civilians en masse have turned out to be hot air, intentionally spread unsubstantiated rumors, blown out by the Russian media.

Instead satellite imagery shows Georgian villages being torched by Russian backed separatist gangs to carry out the ethnic cleansing.

Youtube is full of videos with Russian and separatist marauders robbing shops and houses. The “golden fork” case has become known worldwide.

Russian media claiming, that American, Ukrainian and Latvian citizens were fighting as mercenaries on Georgian side. So far the only proof has been a single USA passport. As it turned out – of a teacher who lost it in Moscow airport.

Etc, etc…

So who’s “mass media turned everything upside down”? Eh?

Never heard of USSR occupation of Poland in 1939, where they partitioned the country with Nazis, their buddies at the time? Nazi-Soviet joint paradein town of Brest -Litowsk?

I do find it amusing though that EP automatically paints the aggressor as being the ‘bad guy’ unless of course that aggressor is the USA.

And yeah, they broke the cease fire. That was wrong of them. So, anybody who is from a country who has never done something unscrupulous, feel free to criticise that action.
