  1. tbst says:

    apathetic FIRST

  2. TheLarrikin says:

I am indifferent to this Lol. :|

  3. QGFDSD says:

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA

Our country is so funny! We ARE apathetic!

  4. Lolnathan says:

With options like McCain and Obama, what is there to get excited about?

  5. ema says:

    I’m not apathetic, about anything.

  6. Ricks says:

I’d rather have a country full of apathetic people who stay out of the way than loud-mouth morons whose fanaticism is basically a giant roadblock to progress.

On another note — how is this photo a reference to apathy? Were you too apathetic to find a relevant picture? lol

  7. bugwitch says:

I’m bitter. But I don’t cling to guns and religion. I cling to free speech and hopes of equality for all. Yeah….I’m also a dreamer.

  8. ReTARDIS says:

How is one not apathetic when one has been beaten into submission and confusion over and over and over and over?

  9. Rosebud says:

Apathy: The feeling after the realization that your choices include 1 party giving it all to the rich, and the other party giving it all to the dregs, bums, welfare whores and losers.
    Great Choices……….

    • mojojojo says:

OMG!!! I love that you were so keen as to see that. Welfare shouldn’t be increased or handed out like candy on Halloween…

Can we bring slavery back? If we’re spending the money, we should atleast get something out of it.

  10. ubr says:

    this lol is stupid.

and so are the people arguing about the US being apathetic.

in fact, i really dun give two —ts about what this lol even means to whoever made it…

    • Roflhouse says:

Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure whoever made it actually believes the flag is raised backwards … I know it seems like no one could be that dumb, but there are some out there who don’t quite grasp the complexities of wind. I agree it’s pretty dumb.

  11. Fluffy says:

That’s Harrisburg, the capital of Pennsylvania, the big dome is the capitol building. The river in front is the Susquehanna River.

  12. James says:

You know why we’re all apathetic? Dream Catchers. Those weird little net things with crystals and feathers that new agers like so much. They’re catching all of dreams, leaving us empty.

    • herb says:

And they have no cultural basis. The Indians just made them as shitty tourist tchotchke.

      • Jim says:

        Joanie loves Tchotchke?

      • Lotte says:

WRONG! Please don’t speak of things you know nothing about! I will not endeavor to educate you – there are resources available to do it for yourself instead of spouting nonsense. Besides one remembers better what one has to work to discover for oneself. I’ll consider the source and try not to be offended by your lack of knowledge.

The absolutely only true thing in your post is your spelling of tchotchke – amazing…ignorant on one level and not on another.

  13. Sam Iacullo says:

This is a view of the flooded Lake Monona in Madison, WI. This is the result from the massive Spring 2008 flooding throughout the upper midwest.

  14. Karen says:

This is a picture of Harrisburg, PA. It was taken from across the Susquehanna River, in Wormleysburg.

  15. Charlie Foxtrot says:

This is a view of life in the USA. I wish that I was there in my Kayak.

  16. Jared says:

This is a picture of Chicago, Illinois, the last city of humans in the future where the aliens have conquered the earth.

  17. Ethan says:

Karen’s correct: It’s a picture of Harrisburg, shot from Wormleysburg across the Susquehanna River

  18. Aaron says:

I know my hometown when I see it, that’s Harrisburg, PA.

  19. Guess Again says:

SERIOUSLY….what of these canidates IS there to be excited about!??!?
oh yeah, and American voters are apathetic for that reason…not a real high turnout rate….especially compared to other “great” democracies.

  20. Schmoe says:

I, for one, am not apathetic. I am exhausted from trying to make a living and disgusted with the more than five decades of political corruption and social perversion I’ve observed. Not apathetic but discouraged, demoralized and dejected.

  21. JOE says:

Apathetic? Seiously? You sh–brains know words like that. And uh, apathy does not describe the election, it had an above average turnout and was historic. Don’t argue against that, you can’t win. Because apparantley- you know, going by numbers and facts,- there was a candidate to get excited over. And he won. And he’ll pimp smack ya.
And that guy who said Joannie loves Tchotchkie is the man.

  22. LadySidhe says:

Well, I think that the replies to this picture have caused people to NOT be apathetic, at least.

Perhaps that was the author’s intent? An experiment to see whether or not (s)he could rouse people out of apathy with a nebulous pic?

Something to think about, I suppose…
