  1. MegaBob says:

Spreads hands to show the size of Obama’s ears!

  2. SlapALiberal says:

    Hah!

  3. Evil Pundit says:

Palin is now more popular than Obama.

“A week ago, most Americans had never heard of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin. Now, following a Vice Presidential acceptance speech viewed live by more than 40 million people, Palin is viewed favorably by 58% of American voters. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 37% hold an unfavorable view of the self-described hockey mom.

    . . . .

“The new data also shows significant increases in the number who say McCain made the right choice and the number who say Palin is ready to be President. Generally, John McCain’s choice of Palin earns slightly better reviews than Barack Obama’s choice of Joe Biden.

“Perhaps most stunning is the fact that Palin’s favorable ratings are now a point higher than either man at the top of the Presidential tickets this year. As of Friday morning, Obama and McCain are each viewed favorably by 57% of voters. Biden is viewed favorably by 48%.”

How’d that smear thing work out for you, Democrats?

  4. Charlie Foxtrot says:

The current GOP candidate for VP is qualified to skip any mention of original constructive plans or thought processes, focus on extolling nothing but personal attacks, manufacture false accusations against her opponents, try to play big, but break down and cry when things get too tough, submit her own personal information to use to her own advantage, then cry foul when she doesn’t like how it plays out, then falsly accuse her opponent of using it against her. Typical for the ticket that first bemoans Obama’s inexperience then picks someone without any, bemoans Obama’s message of change then gives a speech about change. If McCain didn’t setal Obama’s ideas, he wouldn’y have any at all… guess the GOP beat it out of him when they beat out any independent thought that he may have once had.

    • Evil Pundit says:

Palin has more experience than Obama. And she has a higher popularity rating, too.

It sure must suck when the Republicans’ veep pick is better than your candidate for President in every important respect.

      • Charlie Foxtrot says:

Actually she doesn’t. What she has is different experience. The major focus of the GOP convention was negative attacks. The major focus of the Democratic convention was planning for the future and how to fix the nightmare left by 8 years of GOP mismanagement. I choose to look towards the future, not to waste my time on the GOP plan of when you have nothing to offer, attack your opponent’s credibility. I haven’t been in this forum for long, but the only posts I’ve seen from you have been negative, derogatory personal attacks upon Sen Obama, Sen Biden and “liberals” in general. I’m glad I don’t live in your “family values” world.

        • Evil Pundit says:

Actually, Obama’s speech contained more attacks on McCain than Palin’s did attacks on Obama.

Democrats have been running the politics of personal smears against George Bush for years.

And in just one week, we’ve seen an incredible amount of filth flung at Sarah Palin’s children by Democratic Party operatives.

This has blown back in your faces, as now Palin has the sympathy of the public, while Obama and his cronies are rightly seen as the slime-merchants they are.

          • Rvo says:

See, what’s fun about you is the whole “I like making ridiculously noncontextual claims” and “I like making completely opinion based claims.” I also like how you slather hypocrite sauce over it too. Does it taste good that way? Om nom nom.

Palin was chosen by God, did you hear? Because Alaska is where “we’ll have to go in the end times.” And that is why I don’t listen to you bloody fundies.

Seriously, I’ve been lurking for almost 4 months, and you are the most banal and obnoxious person here. We could discredit the entire Repub party by having you as its spokeperson.

            • Rvo says:

And then you’ll say something like “oh, you’re obviously a liberal mouthpiece, why didn’t you bash on Seth?”

You might even through in some adjective like slimy, or idiotic. Maybe you can even discredit TIME magazine like you did about a month earlier as a liberal dishrag.

Seriously, I bet you stick up your keyboard every time you post.

Want to censor any books while you’re at it?

            • Evil Pundit says:

My claims are factual and can be easily verified.

That you fail to argue against my claims, and instead resort to hysterical personal attacks, merely reveals the weakness of your position.

              • herb says:

“Easily verified” = “I found them on a FoxNews blog”

              • Rvo says:

I didn’t say that all of them weren’t factual, yet so many of them are taken out of context. And many of the things you say are just straight opinion. I notice how you call the Obama speeches slimy and vicious, but you like harping on Edwards having an affair. Isn’t that his personal life? Why do you have to single someone out? Unless it’s that hypocrite marinade you like so much. You carry that like a cross.

And srsly, hysterical? Fap fap fap. Got any more?

Palin is pro-life enough to scare off Mrs. McCain, fundie enough for the endtimes believers to support, and just closeminded enough to feel like banning books isn’t a return to the stone age. Isn’t part of McCain’s platform defending our rights in the Constitution? Protect the Second Amendment, that’s just fine. But protect the first too.

The worst part is, I liked McCain! I had a hard time between Obama and McCain. But Palin just takes the cake.

            • Jim says:

Please go back to lurking. I liked you better that way.

          • Charlie Foxtrot says:

Nope, throwing the BS flag out on this one. Palin brought the “attacks” if you can call them attacks on herself. She entered the arena as a relative unknown, using her special needs child to prove her social conservative credentials. ALL other candidates have been veted by the press throughout the long histories of their careers. She chose to enter the arena, she released the details of her family life, therefore the press had an obligation to investigate her background to the extent required, centered on McCain’s validation process, not her family. Having said that, the personal life of her children is irrevelant and off limits, except when she uses those cirmstances to bolster her political credibility. But, as stated by the Democratic national candidate, and as acknowledged, publically, by Palin herself, her family is off limits, something the GOP and its “operatives” don’t abide by.

      • phedre says:

you’re right. 20 months as a governor of a state where she was handed a balanced budget, surplus of dividends from oil, and social programming that has a ridiculous amount of funding SO qualifies her over someone who actually had to WORK for any sort of social change in a city and state without such abundances of resources and fiscal budgets, and a Senate which has more dysfunctionality than an entire day’s worth of soap operas.

yeah, you just keep clinging to that raft in your river of denial. i’ll be over here in reality-ville, where real-life keeps on going.

        • Evil Pundit says:

Obama never had to work to change anything in Chicago. He was a part of the ruling political machine all along.

The only actual “work” Obama did was to preside over the Chicago Annenberg Challenge with his terrorist friend Bill Ayers. That project spent $110 million on “educational reform”, yet its sponsors judged it a failure.

Unlike Sarah Palin’s successful career, Obama’s only leadership position was a dismal failure.

          • jellybeans says:

at least he spent money on educational reform. Palin cut the special needs funding by 62% … but hey, all you special needs moms have an advocate now … according to her speech.

        • jellybeans says:

don’t forget she left Wasilla 20 million in the hole even after lobbying and receiving $27 million (for a town of less than 7,00 at the time) in federal earmarks

      • PortlandMark says:

Obama has the same experience as Lincoln. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

  7. Ceefax says:

You are The Boss… which team would you hire?

With America facing historic debt, multiple war fronts, stumbling health care, a weakened dollar, all-time high prison population, skyrocketing Federal spending, mortgage crises, bank foreclosures, etc. etc., this is an ***unusually critical*** election year.

Let’s look at the educational background of your two options:

    Obama:
    Occidental College – Two years.
Columbia University – B.A. political science with a specialization in international relations.
Harvard – Juris Doctor (J.D.) Magna Cum Laude

    & Biden:
University of Delaware – B.A. in history and B.A. in political science.
Syracuse University College of Law – Juris Doctor (J.D.)

    vs.

    McCain:
United States Naval Academy – Class rank 894 of 899

    & Palin:
Hawaii Pacific University – 1 semester
North Idaho College – 2 semesters – general study
University of Idaho – 2 semesters – journalism
    Matanuska-Susitna College – 1 semester
University of Idaho – 3 semesters – B.A. in journalism

Now, which team are you going to “hire” ?

  8. Carrie says:

lol, poor Americans, Obama hasnt done much has he ? And then there are all these terrorists. Maybe if you guys didnt bomb so many places, other countries would like you.

  9. Sam says:

I find this ironic: Palin is probably going to run for president in the year 2012, and that’s supposedly when the world is supposed to end, coincidence?
