I wouldn’t use those terms, per se. (Particularly the “stupid rednecks” bit). The New Yorker wasn’t pandering to Obamaniacs at the cost of “the rest of the country”. It was sarcastic caricature depicting the assorted rumors and out-and-out lies repeated about Barack and Michelle. It was poorly-executed hyperbole.

Not on this site, but I’ve seen T-shirt images of Obama and bin Ladin in a similar position. Another had Barack in turban and robes labeled “Obama bin Ladin”.

There are tasteless tee-shirts all over the place; I’d rather them not be here (Tho’ I will admit to laughing at the “Another Bush we can’t trust” one, if only for the surfeit of “The only Bush I trust is my own” sticker. I swear, every lesbian in Vermont had one on their car/truck (it seemed).)

I dunno, I would be rather offended if I was being called muslim like it was a slur, shown with the flag burning and a picture of a terrorist on the wall with my wife dressed like a militant.

Feel free to call me crazy but it was just as obnoxious. I still loled. Hell, I sent the Drill Baby Drill to my email. As stated many times before, I have a dark sense of humor though.

And I don’t see how that picture was made by Pro-Obama types unless you are willing to admit they can dish out low blows to themselves…
