you know, i’ve been coming here for a while, and all this mudslinging and talking in absolutes (democrats love their dirty tricks, it’s all the republicans fault, blah blah blah) it’s all bull, and it’s irritating when i come on here for lolz and all you guys can talk about is how terrible the other party is… it’s clear that BOTH parties have messed up time and time again, and both parties have their scandals. but how about showing a little back bone and own up to something once and a while, than acting like idiots saying it was the other sides fault, hm?

now i’m just going to leave a link to an interesting article i found, and i’m going to go laugh at some cat attacking a printer, excuse me. (after studying the article, i found a lot of people doing these kinds of things)

Be at peace. When she is VP she won’t be allowed to use e-mail any more than McCain will be allowed, because anything in an email is not protected under a subpoena. Lots of presidents and vice presidents in the past who have been e-mail junkies before their terms had to stop using e-mail entirely during their tenure in the Oval Office.
If keeping a few work emails mixed in with the personal ones in a personal e-mail account is the worst they can find on her, I’d say she’s doing pretty good. At least she’s not breaking bread with unrepentant terrorists and agitators.

I will not be able to find the exact law because exact laws are difficult to find. Websites dedicated to that sort of documentation have some of the worst search engines used today.
But that fact is, that general (political) correspondence is required to be archived for at least 3 years. A personal Yahoo account doesn’t have that sort of record keeping standard.

Politicians are always allowed to change their mind, and I welcome it. It shows that they are able to think, learn and grow. There is a distinct difference between chaning your mind and lying, however. If she said “I was for the bridge, then after doing some thinking, soul searching, etc. realized that this was improper use of tax funds”, I would have whole-heartedly respected her. That is not what she did, she stated “Thanks but no thanks”. That was a LIE, no matter how you paint it. The truth is that she went against it when she knew congress was on a witch hunt over the bridge and she couldn’t get it approved, so to save face she turned against it. She was never always against it. Not to mention, she kept the $400 million already given to Alaska for the project and spent it elsewhere.

Half of Congress are convicted of some type of crime, maybe more. And as far as Liddy is concerned (not that he amounts to much), there is a difference between burglarly and blowing up government buildings and cars. Neither defenseable, but there is a difference. Also, Liddy served his time. Ayers never did.

PiMan please cite said law that she has broken. I don’t believe I have ever heard of a law that designates your work e-mail must be conducted on a work account. Government agencies instruct employees not to use work e-mail to conduct personal business and inform employees that any correspondance on work e-mail is open to public record. I agree that it would be a poor decision ethically to conduct such business on a personal account purely to avoid public record, but does that constitute a legal infraction?

There’s one thing with respectable debating, but if he goes for any low blows, or says _anything_ that can be construed as a gender-based attack (which can be quite easy, considering the number of euphemisms in our culture) and it’ll be a huge blow to the Democratic ticket.
