I thought this was pretty poor use of the medium, really. LOLs are funnier when the caption’s specific both to the photo and the target of the humour; this fails on the latter count because (depending on your taste / political bias) you could replace “Cindy McCain” with “Michelle Obama” (sorry, Michelle – you’re the obvious counterexample) or whomever. Even ‘Bush is Dumb’ and ‘McCain is Old’ gags (leaden cliches though they be) are target-specific, but ‘nyer, nyer, so-and-so-is-ugly’? Unworthy of this site.

I’ve noticed that the captioned photos that make it to the front page lately are largely jabbing at the physical appearance of the reps and their families. And if that weren’t enough of a tipoff that this is intended to be a pro-democrat site, where else are you going to see an ad for a T-shirt featuring McCain engaging in intercourse with his VP?
