I’m pretty sure all the cool people get ours before the rest of you. Ahahaha, seriously though, I think it goes by SSN. Google stimulus check, there’s an IRS page you can go to to check the status of yours. I’d put the link here, but you know, this place eats links.
I swear you are trying to depress me. I shall do this thing that you mention and find out how screwed I am or that I have money coming. Too bad it won’t fix much.
It goes by ssn, but also by how you files your taxes. If you filed electronically, you’ll get it sooner. Of course, if you didn’t file, you don’t get one. You didn’t have to pay in, or even actually pay taxes(for those on welfare), but you did have to actually file.
I filed way back before the deadline and I didn’t see anything. :/

I have discovered that I am just mentally vacant on the issue. We did get ours. There goes my wishful thinking of the government sending me a bailout or the pretense of a bailout. T_T
If you had your tax return done by direct deposit, then your stimulus check has already been deposited to the same account!
If you didn’t get a tax return…then you don’t get a stimulus check.
If you had your return check sent by snail mail, and still haven’t been sent your check by mail…there’s most likely a problem and you need to pursue it!

Actually they had on the news that just in the tri-county area I live in there was over $200,000 in unclaimed stimulus check’s. I think people only have until lie the 28th of October to send in the paper work to claim them or else it will be too late.

Totally off-topic, but I just read something highly amusing. I was reading the police blotter section of my local newspaper, and evidently someone is going around stealing Obama campaign signs. But that’s not the part I find amazing… why would someone report their little lawn sign being stolen to the _police_??
Probably because it counts as campaign sabatoge and censorship.
That and it is theft technically. No better or worse than stealing lawn gnomes.
Lawn gnomes should be stolen. Then placed in compromising positions in pictures sent back to the former owners.
That reminds me of that movie Amelie – she steals her fathers garden nome and sends it around the world with a friend who sends pictures of it in exotic locations back to her father. Really nice movie if you don’t mind subtitles.

Yes, if someone didn’t rape and murder your mother and dog, there’s no purpose reporting it to the cops. Because the cops clearly should only go after the very worst crimes first. There’s only one cop, after all, there’s no way he could do more than one thing at a time.

Actually… I don’t hate Ron Paul. I don’t agree with more than 10% of what he says, but he seems sincere, thoughtful, and patriotic. Kind of the way Grampy McSame looked in 2000, before he ignored the attacks on his family and started sucking up to Bush II.
Well I was referring more to the fact that no Republican can win my state, let alone Ron Paul. And since he’s out of the race… well… having all those signs up seems really silly. Then again maybe its like christmas lights, just too hard to take em down. Though I do think he would have made an excellent VP choice. Would have made Thursday’s debate an embarassment for Biden, instead of it being the other way around like it is likely to be.
Well, one time we had this guy named Chocola (who my family called Count Chocula) running for Congress and it was a heated race because they had recently redrawn the district lines and they weren’t sure if it was going to go Democrat or Republican. Well Chocola was a republican (and friend of Bush) and a bunch of my friends stole a bunch of Chocola signs and stuck them in our coworker’s (who is so NOT a republican) yard one night. We still refer to that as the day they Chocola’d his house. Ahhhhhh, good times.

So, just a ponder here… How much was our stimulus package compared to the bail out – that’d be an interesting factoid…
Well this package is the equivalent of $2000 for every American, the stimulus was $300 or $600 per taxpayer who made over a certain threshold, so it was probably extremely small compared to this bailout.

If I remember correctly, the stimulus $ came to around 28million.
And turns out the stimulus didn’t do shit for the economy either.
I got mine. I’m a minor, so my parents still claim me as a dependent. As a result, I got a check for $2 from good ol’ Uncle Sam. How much did it take for them to send the thing to me, I wonder?
I didn’t cash it. I’m going to frame the thing with a caption of “Government Waste.” Honestly, if I knew it was going to be that little, I would have just told them to keep it!

This is what happend to me (that’s why I made it!). I got my stimulus check, spent it, and a day or two ago I found out that my bank (WaMu) failed! Life imitates art…
I got mine many months ago, but I also sent my taxes in early Feb. $600 from the gubberment straight to the mortgage.
