      Cloak of invisibility win.

    • Evil Pundit says:

LOL, Sarah Palin pwn3d Biden in the debate.

      • Seriously? says:

Are you high right now? Do you seriously think her sarcastic catch-phrase handbook of answers was effective politics? If you have one, please surrender your brain to the nearest recycling facility. How many times do we have to go over this. We do not need an unrefined, folksy, “gee-whiz” leader in office. We do not need someone who says “I may not answer the questions the way the moderator or you want to hear, I’m going to speak to the American people”. Newsflash lady – the moderator is the proxy of the American people. Answer the damn question.

They both goofed on names, voting records, etc., so surprise, nobody’s perfect, but I cannot believe for one moment that she is anything but a stunt. Her attempts at usurping his stance on foreign policy were laughably transparent. “We share a love for Israel”. Wow. Ray Charles could see through that and he’s blind. And dead!

Sorry, I’ve got to go the store. The batteries in my BS detector are shot.

        • Obama is just a smooth talker says:

Lmfao to all these damn Obama supporters!!! THAT’S RIGHT I SAID IT!!!! I’m a democrat and still wouldn’t vote for him!!!! He’s a G!!! A smooth talker. He’s like the guy that approaches the vulnerable young woman with all the right lines screws her and walks away with what he wanted. As Governor what did he accomplish? Nothing!! Everything Obama started out, he never completed. Your research should include more than just their platforms, recent speeches and debates. Even if you decided to look at only the VP debate Pailan crushed Biden hands down. Biden beat around the bush while Pailin handed him his ass on a silver platter so I don’t know what debate you watched. Remember presidency is about more than race or a good speech. It’s easy to promise the American people a bunch of sugar coated dreams you can not follow through on, which is exactly what Obama is doing!!!! OPEN YOUR EYES AND SEARCH FOR YOUR OWN TRUTH, not the version of the truth he chooses to allow us to hear.
By the way your BS detector must be broken if you’re believing Obama!!! lmfao

          • ema says:

Wow, he was never a governor… Even though I probably agree with you, please get your facts straight or you have zero credibillity.

          • PdeV says:

What are you doing here, Lieberman?

          • Mathilda says:

When who was governor? Obama? He wasn’t governor, he is a senator. Who said presidency is about race? It seems you have other issues going on besides just not agreeing with Obama. You brought up race twice in your comment. It should be a non-issue.

          • Necomancer says:

Well I’m a feminist republican conservative Palin supporter and I wouldn’t vote for McCain if you gave me 50 bucks and a lolly pop!

See? I can pretend to be things too!

          • n8squared says:

and what has palin done as governor of alaska and wasilia( both have tiny populations) she’s done more bad than good. for instance, put the town of wasilia alaska(population 5,500) 22 million dollars in debt, fires people and burns books just because she doesn’t agree with them, shoots animals from the air, a cruel method, and says she’s pro-life. she is also doing what obama plans to do when he wins, distrubutes wealth. SHE’S AN IDIOT.

  2. DeathWyrmNexus says:

“Describe how you could personally manage the budget of every office in your town and not know about rape kits being charged.”

  3. Lallz says:

Wow. This picture just reminded me how actually absolutely gorgeous she is.

    • RepublicansForVoldemort says:

Feel free to vote for her for beauty queen then. She may actually be qualified for that.

      • Lallz says:

Im supporting her for other reasons too. I just had no comment on the caption so I figured I’d be honest regarding what I was thinking.

    • mouse says:

I’ll never vote for her but yeah she is a beautiful woman.

    • angela says:

She looks like your average 40 something year old woman. Why people talk about her looks as if she is a beauty queen (she didn’t win) is beyond me. Frankly, Vanessa Williams was only true beauty queen I can imagine worth fawning over. Everyone else was/is average.

  4. jhuger says:

There you lie-berals go dragging the defenseless Palin children into the debate again.

Actually, this is just Palin showing us her qualifications as a furniture maker.

  5. froofrou says:

Empty chair at least has less of a conflict of interest than moderator tonight.

    • Seth says:

Pretty stupid of you guys not to vet the debate moderators better. Gwen Ifill’s book was no secret, except, apparently, to Republicans. But don’t worry, John McCain, attempting to make himself look less stupid for giving her the okay, said she will be scrupulously fair, and in this one instance, I’m sure he’s right.

      • Lolnathan says:

They probably couldn’t decide if her being an Obama supporter, or being a woman would win out. Then again, I don’t really see how any moderator could bias things without invalidating the whole debate and ruining things for the person they were trying to help. So I doubt there will be a problem.

        • GomerPhyls says:

So here’s the perspective from the McCain camp just in case it’s not totally obvious to you guys.
Your candidate is weak and prone to gaffes. So you spend the weeks preceding the debate hashing out very restrictive rules that tie they hands of the moderator and allow the candidates to give short, rehearsed answers without penalty if they don’t use their allotted time.
Then the week of the debate yelling as loud as you can, “ZOMG! The moderator is writing a book about Obama! She’s gonna be so biased!”
That way if Palin sucks hard they can blame it on the “biased” moderator. If she does decent, in the public’s eye she did awesome because she faced down the big, bad Biden and the biased moderator.
It’s pretty simple really… you just have to think about how the spin will effect the common Repugnant and then weigh how you think they’d react to the various outcomes.

          • ---------- says:

I’m sure the mCBlinky campaign knew full well about Ifill’s book. It’s just some pre-debate whining to set us up for why she tanks during the debate. “The moderator was OBVIOUSLY biased”

  6. Tairii says:

Bad Chair! You have a lot of nerve asking a tricky question! Tsk tsk!

  7. MegaBob says:

Empty chair has better answers than Biden.

    • Christine says:

I’ll get back to you on that one.

    • Seth says:

Really? Biden, one of the toughest, smartest guys on the hill? His only problem is that he’s too outspoken and he says things that aren’t comfortable. I know the right wing likes to whine and moan about him, but trust me, that is because he scares them.

      • MegaBob says:

Hahahahahahahaha ! Biden’s as big a tool as you are !

        • x-bert says:

Standing here at the bottom and looking up the neatly lined up wrenches, why do I see MegaBob’s head sticking up over Seth’s?

        • Seth says:

Yes, I realize you don’t like me, or Joe Biden. I understand your feeling of inferiority when you compare your intellect and debating skills to ours. Biden is going to humiliate Sarah Palin worse than I do you. Say, have you figured out how the tax code works yet, Mr. “I make over $200,000 a year but don’t understand what ‘marginal tax rate’ means?”

          • Wolfie says:

Why do I get the feeling you are as clueless about women as Clay Aikens ?

          • MegaBob says:

Go play with your toys, Seth! The grownups are talking !

            • DeathWyrmNexus says:

              Have some Pootbeer.

            • Seth says:

Your attempt to insinuate that I am a child and you are a grownup falls flat, considering the language you continually use and the tone you take. Grownups tend to know how the tax system works, too. Here’s a clue for you: you will never lose money by going to a higher tax bracket. The higher tax only applies to the additional money in the higher bracket. Yes, yes, I’ve humiliated you again, in front of everyone, but you are the problem, not me. Educate yourself before you post, and I won’t have to continually correct your ignorance.

              • DeathWyrmNexus says:

                in bed with pootbeer.

              • MegaBob says:

                Flame NOT.
Tell us about yourself then- are you an accountant ? A tax lawyer?
Or something else ? Tell on, little man!

                • PiMan says:

I’m going to guess, someone with a brain. You don’t suddenly lose a ton of money as soon as you reach the next tax bracket.
There are exceptions to this rule where bonuses, grants and other such thing are involved, but their effect is minor.

                • Seth says:

Computer programmer. One does not need to be an accountant or lawyer to understand the concept of a marginal tax rates. But look, lets just let that go, shall we? I’m actually starting to feel bad about how bad you are making yourself look, and I don’t want any part of it any more. Truce? I won’t insult you until you insult me. So as long as you can refrain from acting like a bully, we can be cool. Call me a tool, or a child, though, and I will continue to prove what an idiot you can be. Your choice.

                • PortlandMark says:

You are becoming more abusive and less coherent. A little worried about November 4th?

        • The L says:

Actually, compared to those who worship Palin as the Second Coming, I’d say Seth is pretty darn intelligent.

          • 15234 says:

Judging by the opinion of this website, I’d say that the majority of people view her as the devil, were the devil an idiot.

          • Lolnathan says:

Palin has worshippers? I thought Obama had the monopoly on mindless followers? DISCLAIMER: Before everyone jumps up my ass… only a small minority of Obama’s supporters are mindless drones. But you have to admit he attracts more of the “I dont know anything about the issues Im just voting for the coolest candidate” crowd than the McCain/Palin ticket.

            • Alcar says:

Both candidates have about equal numbers of mindless drones. It’s an annoying downside of having human voters.

              • lol says:

Yes, I’m sure there are those on the McCain/Palin side who pull the lever only thinking about “POW” or “me like hawt woman” or “creationism GOOD”.

          • Jim says:

I didn’t think that Palin had any worshipers. There are a large number of males who would seriously like to give her some “gotcha” questions…*in bed*

          • Rorsc says:

Seth ? Intelligent ? What drugs are you on ?

      • Lolnathan says:

Tough is bad in a debate like this. It only provides a masturbatory thrill for existing supporters of a candidate, while making undecideds run the other way in disgust. If Biden really goes after Palin the only people who are going to benefit are McCain and Palin. He better just keep his mouth shut and let her screw up all on her own, if he knows whats good for him.

        • RepublicansForVoldemort says:

Sadly, you are probably right. That, to my mind, is genuine sexism – go easy on the poor girl, otherwise you’re being a big bully. If sexism weren’t so deeply ingrained in our society, he could go after her like any other candidate and no one would blink an eye.

          • Lolnathan says:

Especially with Biden’s reputation as a sort of loud-mouth rather blunt individual. It makes it even harder for him. He needs to just focus on Obama and McCain and disregard Palin entirely.

    • Lallz says:

Im not a supporter, but at least I’ll admit that Biden is a very intelligent and well spoken guy.
See, people from either side of the political spectrum are fine, so long as they have substance to back up their beliefs, which Joe Biden does. I just happen to disagree with him on most every issue is all.

      • Scott says:

Finally someone on these comments that doesn’t blindly hate someone for having the nerve to actually have a difference of opinion.
        :)

      • Kurt says:

Dammit Lallz, you’re ruining the image that all republicans are close minded idiots. How am I supposed to hate them if you keep making them look good.
Seriously though it is refreshing to see someone who actually respects opinions other than their own.

    • ---------- says:

      In what respect Charlie?

  8. ema says:

I sure hope she can conquer her nervousness or whatever is causing her problems and can really shine in the debates tonight. She does have a lot of good experience to draw on and she is not an airhead, no matter how she comes across in her interviews so far or she wouldn’t have been able to get elected as Governor of Alaska. She will be under incredible pressure tonight, I don’t envy her. If she can’t pull it off, I will have to admit, Republicans are screwed.

    • Seth says:

Not to be mean, ema, but all the evidence seems to show that she IS an airhead. What evidence do you have that she isn’t? People aren’t that smart, on average, and people who aren’t smart don’t have the tools to judge intelligence in others. I remember an experiment where two groups of people were sent on job interviews. One group was quite attractive, but coached to give simple, monosyllabic answers to interviewers’ questions. The other group was rather plain, but coached to give intelligent answers. Afterwords, the interviewers, who had no idea they were part of an experiment, were asked who they felt was smarter. They almost invariably said the attractive people sounded smarter, even though they gave stupid answers.

      • DeathWyrmNexus says:

… Reading your posts reminds me how much I hate people. In a good way, I think. Gah, now I want to maim idiots. -_-

      • ema says:

Well, measuring intelligence can be very subjective, and there are all different facets of what might be considered intelligent. There may be those that are book learned but lack common sense or problem solving. Then there are people that are so clever but maybe never went to school. She hasn’t shown any sign of either kind in her interviews since she was chosen as VP but there are interviews before were she appears to be calm and very intelligent. She also has a track record as Governor that can be seen and judged and is part of the reason she was chosen.

        • Bee Mee says:

Her track record as governor shows that she took money for travel while living at home, placed friends in offices that had no knowledge of the positions that they held, took federal funds for that “bridge to nowhere” even though she turned the project down. And I could go on from there, check her out farther ema, she even cut back on money for special needs children, before she had one.

      • ema says:

You are right though about attractive people getting a pass, they make more money too. But I don’t think Palin was elected simply because of her looks, although it may have helped.

        • DeathWyrmNexus says:

Well she hasn’t really shown any other reason for me to vote for her yet. She is supposed to be some kind of Barracuda and pit bull but just sounds like an airhead. I would like to believe that a person who talked so big at the RNC would be at least a little more coherent in unscripted discussion.

      • Noel says:

. . . That is the most terrifying thing I’ve ever heard. o.o

      • ema says:

Here is a interview she did with Glenn Beck before she was selected as VP. She did very well in this interveiw no matter what you think of her position on the issues. She comes off as very informed and well spoken. So, I conclude that she is just under a lot of pressure and is having a hard time with it and that is why she is seeming like an airhead.

        • n8 says:

Beck would likely do all in his power to make her sound good. His toughest question was probably “how do you choose what color of nail polish to use?”

          • ema says:

That’s about as valid as my complaining about Charlie Gibsons questions to Palin compared to Obama questions. Don’t make me get them back out!!

            • n8 says:

Well, if it were Olbermann who was asking the questions, I would admit to a bias being present. Gibson doesn’t particularly have a reputation one way or the other, that I know of. Maybe he does, I honestly don’t know. Beck, though, is a Bill O’Reilly wanna-be. He’d bend over backwards for anybody with a (R) after their name.

    • DeathWyrmNexus says:

Not to hate on an entire state but being the governor of one of the smallest populations isn’t necessarily a point in her favor. It means that she convinced a relatively small group of people she was the best. Eh, I wasn’t there so I don’t know. Just pondering outloud, as always. :D

        • DeathWyrmNexus says:

Hmmmm, now I realize how tired I am. Z_Z

            • DeathWyrmNexus says:

My pepsi/rootbeer blend isn’t working. I suppose I will have to switch to coffee. Damn.

              • Seth says:

I dub your soft drink combination… pootbeer. Huzzah! barkeep, a round of pootbeer for all!

              • Lolnathan says:

Meth, it’s whats for dinner. At least in Wasilla…. and here in my town too…

                • DeathWyrmNexus says:

Damn my state being the Meth capital. My sister is going down on Meth charges. She is lucky they caught her or I would kill her. But yea, enough share time from me.

Seth, my man, that is funny and disturbing all at once.

                  • ema says:

My brother had trouble with it too, nasty stuff.

                    • DeathWyrmNexus says:

What really burns me is that she was supposed to be in med school, right now! But no, poof, gone. And I was nice enough to cosign a car for her which I am now getting calls about. Grrrr.

                      • ema says:

                        Awww, what a shame!

                        • DeathWyrmNexus says:

Ya, the quirk is that it is a bit worse than a normal possession charge since she was crossing state lines. So it became a felony issue. Definite shame. -_-

                        • MegaBob says:

Well, if she had made it into Med school, Seth would just call her a liar.

                        • Seth says:

Look, it’s my old pal Bob! How ya doin’ Bob? My that’s a nice whiny non-sequitur you have there. You got that tax situation sorted out yet, Bob? Here’s a clue for you: a marginal tax means the tax increase is only on the portion of your income above the stated amount. Meaning, you will never lose money by going up a tax bracket. So, I stand by my statement: you are either an idiot or a liar. Which is it?

                        • MegaBob says:

Tell that to my accountant you little turd.

                        • Seth says:

No need to get irate just because I showed what an idiot you are. You claimed that under Obama’s tax plan, you would have to work fewer hours and put yourself into a lower tax bracket. Which is patently ridiculous. Now, I make a fair penny myself, and I sure as hell know how tax brackets work. Why don’t you?

                        • DeathWyrmNexus says:

There is a lot of love in this thread.

                        • Lolnathan says:

Why did you morons bring your lame crotch-sword battle to our wonderful discussion of meth addiction?!! ;)

                        • DeathWyrmNexus says:

They make me want to throw retards off bridges in Assassin’s Creed when I get home tonight and try to relax.

                        • Kurt says:

Regrettably DW, I must now start hating you for having Assassin’s Creed, while I am still stuck playing original X-Box games. And of course the original X-Com.

      • 15234 says:

Yeah, but one thing to point out is that Obama, Biden, and McCain haven’t ever experienced executive authority. If you look at Obama and McCain’s debate they’re mostly arguing over what they VOTED for. Palin is the only one out of all of them who has experienced actual executive authority. She’s probably the one out of all of them who has the best credentials to be president. Doesn’t mean she’d make a GOOD president, but she knows what it’s like to be in command.

        • Philip Shade says:

Executive experience – in Palin’s case – is a red herring to make it seem like she isn’t utterly out of her depth.

Look at GW Bush. He had much more extensive executive experience before being elected, The man still hasn’t a clue how to do his job and has run the country into the ground.

          Executive experience doesn’t mean squat.

    • Ceefax says:

“I sure hope she can conquer her nervousness or whatever is causing her problems”

That would be “Being as dumb as a sack of rocks”

      • Lolnathan says:

I wouldn’t call her dumb as a sack of rocks. That’s just childish name calling. After all, you’re not dumb because you can’t explain the dynamics of solar system formation to me. You’re just unskilled and unprepared for a job as an astrophysicist. On the same token, Sarah Palin isn’t dumb because she doesn’t have any foreign policy or national economic experience. She is just unskilled and unprepared for a job as Vice President.

She’s perfectly knowledgeable about the issues facing her own state, but her competence on a national level is just about zero. When she’s discussing issues with which she is familiar she is very intelligent and confident.

  9. Mr. T says:

This site went from being amusing to being a hate site.

    • GomerPhyls says:

I put out this call in an old thread and nobody has yet responded…
Still waiting for a single, solitary LOL in which a Republican says something good about their own candidate. I made the original post on October 1st, 2008 at 1:39 pm… I wonder how long it’s going to take.
If you’re up for the challenge, post the link to your LOL in reply to this thread.

    • Alcar says:

Only to those without a sense of humor.
I find all these palin/biden/McCain/Ombama postst equally amusing.

    • Rorsc says:

      You just now noticed that?

  10. Stupid woman! lol I love this one!~

  11. Martha says:

Probably no one is still paying attention to comments on photos this old, but — does anyone know why a governor is being made to wait alone-in-the-picture?
Wait for whom? What is the flag behind the empty chair?
I think Palin is an unfortunate choice for running mate, for the U.S., even if McCain doesn’t win. Her lack of administrative, national, and international experience cheapens the process of electing arguably the next most powerful human in the world.
But she IS a governor of a state, if not yet at that moment a candidate for Vice President. This photo indicates that her opposite number at the event considers his/her time more important than a governor’s.

  12. Cor-Dem says:

LOL! This is hilarious! I’m a conservative but this is FUNNY. Its also hilarious that a political debate started in this thread too. Just a joke. lol.

  13. Lifecolor says:

If you like this LOL that make fun of Sarah Palin, try this LOL that makes fun of Sarah Palin:
