I’d demand the gold. You can leave the other two gifts.
too bad restrictive, moronic US immigration policy would prevent them from entering. NO GOLD FOR YOU.
If you didn’t notice, it’s Germany they’re entering not the US.
yes. captioning fail
actually its even harder to get into germany than to get into the states
i know it
i am from germany
Nice, this one was well done.
Well btw, it’s a German flag and the soldier appears to be wearing a German uniform
beat me to it, you did
thats would be a location FAIL
Could be the United States of Europe
Love the look on the soldier’s face!
I’ll have a hard time not thinking of this one in a couple months while helping out with the annual Christmas pageant.
“Why is she laughing?”
“Don’t know. Keep away from her.”
This one’s priceless!
… and that star is … Obama !!!
Nah, dude, Obama is the Antichrist.
Trust me, I would know.
Really? Then how come you don’t even know how to spell your own name? It’s Beelzebub. Or Balzebub, you’d have to ask the ancient Philistines how they pronounced it, but it sure wasn’t Bezlebub. But what would an ancient Philistine deity know about the Christian antichrist anyway?
Superior Ancient Deity Knowledge for the WIN
super specific win-WIN
Maybe he’s just a generally knowledgeable ancient deity who made a typo?
Deities make typos?? I dunno…that’s almost like dividing by zero…
Well, we all know I am the messiah!!
Hold on a minute!
“Coming to the states”?
That man has a German flag on his uniform…
I KNEW the religious right were a bunch of nazis!!!!!1!!11 LOL
Must I discuss my wang again?
Isn’t that the rule?
Nah, it isn’t capable of measuring things.
No, it just brings love and hope but for some, intimidation…
This will make for an interesting rule.
Like me!
Sorry, my wang is superior.
Independent Wangs FTW!
Mmmm, I am thinking of all the perverse things I can say to Lynn tonight.
“Tonight I am going to f*** liberty. You be liberty. You will say Oh God, but Master will suffice.”
Giggidity. I can’t wait for tonight.
damn comment eaters…
Just a joke, man…what are friends for?
It’s okay, I am secure. I lol’d.
Glad to hear it, but you know that i couldn’t resist, cause after all…well, to be nice, we all know that mine IS bigger.
Gross! Not cool! *reaches for brain bleach*
The Nazi’s were anti-religion, douchebag !
then can you please explain the slogan ‘gott mit uns!’?
What did you say about my mittens?
LOL nice one
Your mittens..they have them
Do you like Kittens with mittens?
These are a few of my favorite things……..*dancing*
wd!
“Gott mit Uns” has been the motto of the roal house of Hohenzollern- the Prussian kings and German emperors since before Frederick the Great. It became the motto of the Prussian army over 200 years before the Nazis appeared, was subsequently taken over by the imperial German armed forces and was one of the means by which the Nazis tried to appease the old elite and conservatives by trying to convince them that they were the rightful sucessor of Imperial Germany.
o3o
<3 you, smarty-pants.
Read your history, they were not anti-religion. They were very pro-religion. In fact, fascism is defined partly three things: it’s pro-nationalist sentiment, it’s religious manipulation, and the collusion between business and the state.
Not so much pro-religious as pro-anything-we-can-use-as-a-weapon.
Precisely.
Fascism and Nazism are diffrent jars on the same shelf. But yes, Nazis were pro-religion.
Actually, it’s a lot more complicated than that. Nazism used a hodge-podge of Christian and Pagan symbolism with a dash of occultism to construct a sort of mythology about itself, and at first the mainstream churches considered nazism to be in tune with Christian beliefs.
And then it gets really interesting. Some Nazis wanted to gradually replace Christian symbols with Nazi symbols, so a sort of new Nazi religion would gradually replace Christianity without anyone noticing; others just wanted to sweep away everything that had been, as they saw it, “imported” since the year 800, set up the National Reich Church and ban the Bible; others still just thought religion was pretty much irrelevant.
In effect, the Nazis weren’t pro religion in the sense that they embraced Christianity; but many wanted to turn Nazism itself into a religion.
For the record, Hitler put his faith in scientific progress, and believed religion would just die out of its own accord.
I never said pro-christianity. Anyway, the religious aspects of Nazism are still a mystery, there are lots of theories spanning over a 70-year debate. Excuse my english.
Hey! That’s kind of like Black Liberation Theology!
Only not.
White Christians ought to be humbled by the fact that so many African-Americans embrace Christianity considering that it was the primary psychological vehicle of their subjugation as slaves.
But… apparently, some of you aren’t.
What a lie, how in the world can you say that when Africans themselves sold their own into slavery? There was slavery all over the world in all cultures and civilizations, Arab, African, Jewish, Native American, everywhere. It was a world wide problem and still is in some areas. It was however a movement within Christianity that ended slavery in the civilized world forever.

Humbled? No. Pleased? Yes. Christianity is a religion tailor-made to control slaves
It teaches people to act passively and accept their lot in life. They are reassured that however bad life seems to be, it should simply be endured because it will be much better after they die, as long as they follow the rules. It is not the opiate of the masses, it is the sedative. Converting their African slaves to Christianity was an incredibly effective means of control. It baffles me that so many African-Americans still embrace the religion that was used to enslave the minds of their ancestors.
While there were certainly Christian abolitionists, Christian teachings were also used to justify slavery.
Except for that messy business about him claiming to be Catholic.
Now that’s fascinating. I knew some of it, and this adds to it…RESEARCH time…fun!
The Nazis were not religous after all. But they used it to manipulate
people. Hitler and the other highranked Nazis like Goebbels were atheists.
Also they used old German stuff, like Oldgerman runes for the SchutzStaffel (SS)
The “S” were actually the Sig-Rune from the old Germans.
Ok, so change it to “reason for coming to die Stadt?”
Hold on! To die where?
die stadt = the city (it’s german)
so the city is german?
it should be “reason for coming to the Bundesrepublik”
that would be the best translation of “the states” in a german context
is llechwedd22 broken? this pic is not the US…
yeah… so there are three german flags in that picture… can’t see a us flag anywhere
Screw it, I still lol’d and favorited.
Country confusion aside, this lol is still great! Let’s try to avoid bickering and just enjoy the cleverness for once.
nah, it was retarded.
Haha roflhoussen! props to llechwedd22
Now there wouldn’t be a German flag and a German soldier in the states would they? -_-
Unless they’re at the German Embassy…
its the German side of the states… pff duh…
Pennsylvania?
Its a member of the German ISAF – troops in Afghanistan..
Oh it could be the state(germany is a state) or for the sake of it the republic.
But actually it doesnt matter, this one is really good.
Btw the uniform tells me its a german soldier being not in germany. its the uniform for hot countries(hard to translate).
In other words: soldiers who are sent to an operation thats more south than Austria. Since all german operations are more south than that, they could be anywhere….
Im not a nerd, I was such a soldier
We are are only deployed in Afganistan or Utzbekistan with the desert uniform..
Well Mariners also get it for lebanon, somalia and cyprus.
Only if they’re Ancient…
Doesn’t it look like Herr Major/Oberstleutnant has a little green ISAF roundel on his nametag though?
yeah yourre right, but i dont see any yellow badge on his shoulder
Green stripe: Fallschirmjäger, Panzergrenadier or Jäger..
But its definately Heer, the German Infantry.. not Marine
I believe that’s Gemrany.
Eh, Germany, US, wherever, it’s still funny.
I’m not even going to start with the things that are wrong with this failed abortion of comedy…
Fantastic.
It *would* have been funny with a different flag. Oh what the hell. I LOLed anyway.
also, wtf the Nazi jokes… you can’t even deny the Holocaust in Germany anymore, you’ll go to jail. Despite the presence of some far-right groups the nation is embarrassed by its Nazi past and wishes to distance itself from that as much as possible.
Now if you want to talk about American neocons being fascist I’m right there with you. They didn’t get to kill enough people when it was Native Americans. They want to move on to other “undesirables” now.
Only when the “undesireables” fly planes into their buildings killing many of their citizens. If it wasn’t for troublemakers like that there would be peace in our time.
…That guy’s not an American soldier. They’re not IN the states.
He’s German; look at the flag on his shoulder.
You know, that appears to be an *East* German flag, in the background at least. How old is this picture?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Flag_of_East_Germany.svg
Now THAT is actually the “East”-German (aka. as GDR) flag. So I wouldn’t say this pic has to be that old since it’s the actual german nationalflag with the coat of arms on it.
nice one
but why do they wear german flags ?
This would make a whole better joke, if the officer, and the flag in the background wasn’t german!
Mike
Hey, it’s the Federal Republic of Germany, consisting of 16 states (17 if you add Majorca, 15 if subtracting Bavaria)…so technically, the joke is okay.
Why add Majorca or remove Bavaria?
Mallorca is like Hawaii, Bavaria is like Texas..
Because Majorca is occu…visited by many, many Germans (see also “Der König von Mallorca” and “Ballermann 6″).
And Bavaria…well, in the German edition of “Kentucky Fried Movie”, the lines
“These are the Hartz Mountains of Asia. A terrain so rugged, so treacherous, no country will claim it.”
“Worse then Detroit?”
“I’m afraid so.”
were replaced by the line
“A country worser than Bavaria”…maybe you get the drift.
bavaria is great
mountains, beer, beautiful old cities and high-tech industry
You had me at mountains, beer and Porsche.
“For the last time, gentlemen: We don’t hate the Jews anymore!”
“Because now we have the unemployed and migrants we can harass!”
dont forget americans and politicians
Mukhtar. Weren’t you all paying attention??
without all the political rhetoric, that was a classic!
germany/usa aside…..
GENIUS, my friend. Just………….genius. =DDD
This aint the United States!!!
It´s a german soldier !
And there is a german flag in background!
NOOBS!!!
