I liked it when it was on Animaniacs, but I couldn’t handle an entire half hour of Pinky and the Brain all by itself, but then Yakko, Wakko, and Dot were my favorites anyway.
I always like the Warner’s best myself. They had the best material. Pinky and the Brain were best before they spun off. I agree.
I liked chicken boo and good idea bad idea lol. Remember when Christopher Walken was on animaniacs? It was great. On a side note does anyone remember freakaoid and the huntsman?
Yes and yes. When I participated in a Nelson’s rating thing (they had us fill in a book with what we watched at what time), I put down that I watched Freakazoid at 4am every morning (I guess it was on the WB). I was really hoping that would lead to new episodes.
I loved when the spoofed Apocalypse Now, personally. Chichen Boo was pretty great too.
Speaking of Christopher Walken in a cartoon, I heard the most hilarious bit on Bob and Tom a few months ago that had Christopher Walken as Papa Smurf. “Theere was this BAHstahd, GAHgamel……” “There is ONLY ONE Smurfette, and ALL these SMURFS…..theayer is MOAH than one REason our BALLS ahr BLUE.”
I always loved the bit about him in an interview…

I lol’d! I heard that bit too, and it made me laugh! I used to hate Christopher Walken, but after seeing him on SNL, and hearing bits like this, I rank him up there with my favorite actors. If for no other reason than he’s got a great sense of humor and doesn’t mind laughing at himself (a la SNL)

I like the skit where he’s reading stories to kids. “Scooch closah children. Don’t make me tell you again about the scooching.” Or, of course,
‘The Continental,’ skits, with the hilarious ‘woman’s eye view’ camer. They were like live action Pepe le Pew cartoons.
Aye, but even the bad back then was better than what’s on today. Tiny Toon Adventures, Animaniacs, and Freakazoid… definitely the best work Warner Bros. accomplished since Bugs.
My favorite moment in Freakazoid was their parody of…. whatever it was
supposed to be parodying, Johnny Quest… action cartoons etc.
