I thought that only worked with cupcakes.

No, sometimes it works with brownies.

        or M&M’s

        • Jane St.Clair says:

I was under the impression that it worked on any item of food that your siblings covet. Certainly better than the terrorist tactic of your brother dangling long spitwads over it.

          • minerva146 says:

Glad I didn’t have brothers. At least boys are explicit. Sisters just use evil subversive tactics you might not find out about until it’s too late.

          • eddiepscetti says:

I was going to say that is how I got my first wife, but I didn’t want to project the wrong impression. But then what the hell, she’s my ex!

            • Jane St.Clair says:

On my parents second date, my dad asked my mom if her ice cream smelled funny. When she leaned in close to see what he was talking about he popped it into her face. To this day I ask my mom why she agreed to a third date and she has not answered that question yet. They’re still married (for over 30 years) although Mom is pretty ticked that I introduced Dad to PK and he spends so much time on here posting. :D

              • eddiepscetti says:

In my case there was no 3rd date, she moved right in!
                -
waves to Jane’s dad! You got a smart girl there.. :)

                • Thanks, eddie…it was her mom’s fault, now i have to live with it, i mean think about having logic woman as a daughter… kinda like spock, but smarter…it’s simply illogical!

                  • eddiepscetti says:

I’m still trying to get my head around logic woman as a wife! My first failed miserably and my second beats me with it daily. Talk about a 180 in life!

The family that trolls together, votes Dem together !

                    • piman says:

Troll, where? No-one in this thread had trolled.

                      • Jane St.Clair says:

I know, and it was apparently bothering him so much that liberal and conservatives were having a polite and fun conversation without insults and political bickering that he had to come in and try to ruin is for everyone. We generally just try to ignore Megabob and all his make believe identities he’s created for himself.

                        • AC says:

You can tell that he’s Megabob? Even with another name?
Is that a scary teacher thing?

                        • Jane St.Clair says:

Well, I’m 95% sure. There are several “individuals” who post one or two lines of random insults that have the similar overall phrasing and word choice. Besides that there is one thing that gives him away but I’m not going to mention it because then he’ll fix it and it’ll be a little harder to spot him next time. The funny thing is he accuses certain regulars of being the same people, but anyone with some knowledge of language can tell that while the people he accuses of being the same share similar viewpoints sometimes, their writing style, word choice, and spelling and grammer abilities are unique to them. It might be possible, if you were aware all the time, to change your individual style enough to create another personality, but to maintain two or more on a regular basis without getting confused would be extremely difficult.

                        • AC says:

I’m impressed that you notice these things…..
but also scared. Teachers scare me. (They shout at me for not wearing my tie.(Mr Alston does, anyway. (He has the 6th sense.)))

                        • herb says:

Teachers aren’t scary (especially the ones that wear long plaid skirts and black sweaters…).

Having gone a to a Catholic elementary, it’s the nuns you need to fear. Nuns with their wooden rulers and pointers.

                        • Jane St.Clair says:

Yes! Dear God nuns are scary! Sister Ann ruined me for nuns for all time. To this day when I see a nun in the bookstore where I have my second job I make someone else help her because I’m afraid I’ll screw up and have to stay in for recess or my whole family will go to hell or something.

                        • herb says:

When I was in first grade, somebody had a bloody nose and thought it funny to draw a swastika in blood on the boys’ bathroom wall. Sister Carol ignored the PA system and instead walked classroom to classroom demanding all boys who had used the bathroom in her office, now. She then left without waiting for any of the boys. I hadn’t gone, but all the other boys had. They left the classroom at 8:45.

The guilty person confessed around 9:00.

Nobody left that office until 4:30. Nobody would say specifically what happened.

To this day, I still get nervous using public toilets.

                        • minerva146 says:

There were still a few really oldschool nuns when I went to elementary. They had names like Sister Eulalia, Sr. Euvencia, Sr. Sophie Marie, and Sr. Mary Solane. One of them bashed a kid into the blackboard by grabbing him by the hair. I felt lucky that day I was the nerd who got good grades and didn’t really get in trouble at school.

Nuns: Bring a whole new meaning to “The Fear of God”

                      • eddiepscetti says:

Not until Binary showed up anyway..

                    • Megabob, go back to your bunker until you can learn how to spell Bob backwards… oh and you might try to nut up enough to stand on your own inter-net personality, even though you screwed that up.

                      • lowly grunt says:

WOW! I missed that Charlie Foxtrot is Jane St. Clair’s dad IRL. When was this revealed????

I think it is totally cool, btw.

                        • ema says:

Me too!! Wow, that is cool! CF – you raised a great gal there.

                        • Thank you, but I must give credit where it belongs, while I was off enjoying Fun, Travel and Adventure (FTA- it doubled as the official 70′s Army slogan /and unoffical soldier comment) and doing cool Army stuff, her Mom did all the hard work as she grew up all over the place.

                        • Jane St.Clair says:

I think that someone hauled out the theory that Charlie was the same person as Ceefax and so I said no, he isn’t, because he’s my dad, I would know. It was an older thread though, so not everyone saw. I thought he’d like this website after I’d been commenting for awhile and so I showed it to him. We didn’t try and keep it a secret, but we rarely debate on the same things, so it never came up.

                        • I chuckled at grew up all over the place… My sons do the same thing.

    • PortlandMark says:

I can definitely say it doesn’t work when dating: “Nope, sorry, can’t have her, I’ve already licked…”

Umm, sorry if that’s a little too, umm, you know…

  11. rhorho says:

Anyone with a sibling would have to LOL at this one!

  12. Me says:

It’s almost as if his arms hurt, reaching to the supporter like that.

Nahh, can’t be. He’s just old. Yeah, old! Old men smell!

  13. jamlayfa says:

meh, I don’t really think McCain himself is doing fail when it comes to his campaign. Even if he was, I don’t find this all that funny.

  14. PortlandMark says:

Team, I’m sorry to break threads and introduce an unrelated topic, but I just learned something that makes me sick. I’m hoping someone can tell me this is a hoax, but I’m afraid no one can. It involves a black man dragged to death in Texas.

    theparisnews . com / story . lasso?ewcd=71bf9eca2697373c

I inserted spaces there so PK maybe won’t bounce my post.

    Anyone know more about this?

    • PiMan says:

A reminder that you can stick it under your name instead by typing it in the URI field.

    • eddiepscetti says:

Looks correct. I just saw something from the AP on it. Disgusting!!!!

      • rhorho says:

It’s a bad day for Texas. The crazy Backwards B girl is an Aggie, and now we’ve got another “Jasper” on our hands. From what little I’ve read so far, it appears that these guys had been friends. The three in Jasper were white supremacists (sp?). Paris is a strange little town. Here’s a paste from the last article I read:

“Paris, which is 73 percent white and 22 percent black, was in the news last year after a black girl was sentenced to up to seven years in a juvenile prison hundreds of miles from her home for shoving a teacher’s aide at school, while a white girl was sentenced by the same judge to probation for burning down her parents’ house.”

        Creepy!

There’s no place like Rome–There’s no place like Rome–…

        • Wilder says:

I prefer the Youtube video where the black female deputy dumps the paralyzed white man out of his wheelchair because she thought he was faking it !

          • eddiepscetti says:

Prefer? This wasn’t actually meant to be funny, and neither is the YouTube video. If I’m misunderstanding you please let me know.

          • Ev says:

Wow. That’s a pretty racist comment, however you look at it. “Hey, black people are bad too! LOOK!!” The other reviewer (whose name I can’t see right now) is right. Neither of those things are remotely funny, and neither are they at the same level. Dragging someone behind a car = clear intent to kill. A cop dumping somebody out of a wheelchair = abuse of position and a firing offense (I hope they were all fired), but not intent to kill.

            • Boodles says:

The texas story made the news because it was a “Man bites dog” story. FBI statistics on their webpage show that blacks commit crimes against whites 49 times more often than the opposite. Yes, any killing is horrible, but this story is pushed because it is white on black crime .

              • froofrou says:

I disagree. This story made the news because it is horrific, and would be if it had been a black man dragging a white man to death as well.

              • Ev says:

A man was purposely dragged to death by a car. How often do you think that happens? Do you really think that if the races of the men were reversed it wouldn’t be news? Really???

              • PortlandMark says:

I’d like to see your documentation on black-on-white crime being 49 times more common than the reverse. Black-on-black being 49 times more common than black-on-white, maybe.

              • Daimos says:

FBI Statistics appear to show quite the opposite:

Among the single-bias hate crime incidents in 2006, there were 5,020
victims of racially motivated hate crime.

                * 66.4 percent were victims of an offender’s anti-black bias.
                * 21.0 percent were victims of an anti-white bias.

    Lickitung’s attack was SUPER EFFECTIVE!

  16. Cerene says:

Why doesn’t anyone ever just compliment the captioner and shuddup?

    GOOD on ya, LAFFIN — I LOL’D :-)

  17. shinobi says:

I was sort of expecting a michael jordan joke but still funny none the less.

  18. Circe says:

The people who DON’T find this amusing are all only children.
(C’mon! Who didn’t have a sibling lick something and say “Mine!!”)
    Its funny…harmless really.
And would have been equally funny if Obama had done it- but I haven’t seen ANY photos yet of Barack with his tounge out. Maybe he’s shy about its length? Is it a stereotype thing?

  19. AC says:

    Oh no, you’re back.

  20. Ev says:

Yes, this is funny. But really, WHY does he keep sticking his tongue out? Don’t you think someone would have mentioned it to him? “John, look, you do this thing with your tongue. It’s off-putting.”

  21. alexp says:

this couldve been so much better..

  22. Tessie says:

    Must… catch… delicious… dragonfly…

  23. Now quit talking about Sarah Palin like that.

  24. me says:

    This is funny.
