There are a lot of people in Chico who are political and do a lot of stenciling. (I used to be one of them when I lived there) so I’m not surprised to see this.

Hey everyone- I thought you might like to see this. It’s the same WaMu graffiti, but taken from a different angle. This one really shows the red line going down the drain. And yes, I took these photos in Chico, CA. (Wish I knew who painted the graffiti so I could give them props- I hope they see this photo someday, and laugh!)

I’m in agreement with Tch here. There is a lot of graffiti out there that could be classified as art in the abstract sense of the word. The time and skill that goes into some of the ‘wall scribblings’ is more than most people could do, and it speaks for the artist who isn’t simply using spray paint to write ‘Keith wuz herr’ on a railroad car.

Those aren’t names. They’re called tags, and they aren’t meant to be spelled the way a name is. A tag is an artistic way of signing your name, or any other word. Even just tags are down right awesome if done right. It’s art.

Also, I feel bad you haven’t seen any good intelligent graffiti. There’s a lot of it out there.

Hey Skates… never thought I’d see someone say something intelligent about graffiti… and I still haven’t.

And “most are just names” huh… I guess some people only read things that are in picture form.

And by the way “omg lol” is not exactly proper spelling either. Try getting out sometime and actually writing on something besides a computer screen.
