    NOT LAST THIS TIME!!

    wOOOOOOOt!!!

    I WIN!! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

This’ll be a total fail when it turns out someone posted first. And that’s ok. I’m well aware of my loserness. xD

  2. ElbieSee says:

I work at a day care (and I’m a mother), and the fact that he’s not supporting her head is driving me to distraction.

Does anybody know how old his kids were when he adopted them? That might give me some insight…

    • Musicmom870 says:

I think his elbow is supporting it to some degree, maybe not very clear in the picture. But he always looks so awkward with little ones, it’s clear he’s not comfortable in that role. I think it’s a generational thing. My father was born in 1921 and was a military man with traditional roles in “his” household, and he was NEVER comfortable with anyone under the age of 3 and rarely interested in anything to do with children. Crying set his nerves on edge and even kids laughing jangled his nerves. I remember when he taught me to drive (he made me wait til I was 17), I was shocked at how cool he was about it. I guess I’d reached a cut off age where he was finally comfortable.
Maybe I’m biased, but as a mom and a preschool teacher, I just don’t trust anyone who can’t handle kids to handle the country.

    • eddiepscetti says:

It looks to me like the baby’s head is being supported by his upper arm. Plus, it looks like the baby is a bit of a wiggle worm and the pic could have been taken just as it was turning it’s head?
      -
As a father of three, I can tell you that try as will, you can’t always predict how a baby is going to ‘shift positions’ on you.

      • ElbieSee says:

It might be just me. When I hold a baby, my ovaries go into overdrive and I’m all “cuddle cuddle…”

        • froofrou says:

LOL. I concur with eddie. It’s impossible to get decent pictures of my daughter without spending an hour to do so. The kids squirms like she’s tweeking on crack or something. Must be the shaking.

          • eddiepscetti says:

And as we all know, the shaking is a Republican agenda item that the other side doesn’t understand yet. We’re just trying to start them on the right path to commen sense.
            -
And before any trolls misread that, it was meant tongue-in-cheek.

          • i_tego_arcana_dei says:

I don’t know if anyone else has seen these, but here in Jacksonville, FL along I-95 right towards dowtown they used to have this huge bilboard with a scared/cute/”awwww” looking infant on it and in big, bold, letters it said “NEVER SHAKE A BABY!” That was all. Well after being there for a about a year someone very professionally vandalaized it to read “ALWAYS SHAKE A BABY!” (by professionally vdnalizing, I mean you couldn’t tell, it wasn’t spray paited over, someobne took the time to do a REALLY good job, it looked like it was part of the original sign). While funny, there are enough dumb people in my town (and the world) to follow these instructions, it kind btohered me that the vandalized version stayed up for several months. It was like a moral conflict, everytime I saw it I laughed, yet also had a ping of guilt/concern.

  3. Susan says:

Only one of his children is adopted, the youngest. The rest are theirs. And he is supporting her head. Take a better look…elbow.

Obama wouldn’t know how to handle on as he doesn’t want his daughters ‘punished’ with a baby. My sister took extreme exception to that remark as her ‘punishment’ is almost 24 and a terrific young man.

    • Lupine says:

He didn’t mean all babies are punishments, just the ones the mothers were forced to have because they need to learn “responsibility.”

    • brighidg says:

Yeah, Obama’s had two kids so I’m sure he does know how to handle one, Einstein. And considering his daughter are 9 and 7, a pregnancy – if possible – would kill them.

Better question, why does Sarah Palin believe rapists should be able to choose who the mother of their children will be? Why does she give rapists more right than rape victims by making the latter pay for rape kits because they contain emergency contraceptives?

      Just quit while you’re behind.

      • froofrou says:

Take your own advice. All of this stuff has been hashed out a long time before YOU got here, and you’re missing the point.
        -
Why do you force us to listen to your opinion? I’m here to listen to intelligent people comment, not listen to trolls put people down.

        • blah says:

          Full of win 8D

        • Will says:

Forced? rofl! No one here is being forced to listen to anything. Get over it.

          • froofrou says:

            *whack* GO back home!

            • Will says:

              Wow, you’re stupid.

              • froofrou says:

*places troll marker in Will* Logic League? We got another one over here! DWM, wang, please! Eddie, ema, Jane, can we dispatch this thing once and for all?

              • eddiepscetti says:

                *Calls on the Logic League*

              • Jane St.Clair says:

No, she’s the official Logic League Troll Smacker. She’s just fufilling her duties. You’re lucky she was gentle with you.

                • Will says:

Oh please. She was whining about being forced to read something. No one is forced to read anything here. If anyone failed at logic it was her. Get over your double standards, sweetie.

                  • froofrou says:

Ok, allow me to show you that I do have the verbal skills to refute you instead of simply relying on the stick. Although the stick is pretty fun.
                    -
Obama made the comment that he didn’t want his daughters ‘punished’ with a baby because of a bad choice they made. brighidg made the assinine comment that a pregnancy, if possible, would probably kill Obama’s daughters at this point considering their ages, and on top of that, made a disparaging remark about someone who was obviously being sarcastic. You with me so far?
                    -
The issue is NOT whether his children are able at this point in their lives to have children. The issue is whether or not getting pregnant out of wedlock and keeping the baby as opposed to aborting it is a punishment. Susan said that her sister had a ‘punishment’ from when she was younger that she wouldn’t trade for the world. It’s all in how you look at a situation, and obviously Obama has gone the negative route of seeing a baby from a young, unmarried girl as a punishment instead of as a way to advance their lives and learn to be a better person from having to deal with a hardship. It’s not the way everyone goes, but it is a choice. It’s also a choice in how you view the decision to keep a baby.
                    -
brighidg also made the statement that Sarah Palin forces women to pay for rape kits. That discussion was hashed out about ten LOLs ao and I didn’t feel the need to comment on it again. Plus, it’s not true. If you’re going to whine about something being forced on people, then I am allowed to be upset that you are ‘forcing’ me to read a stupid, idiotic, and disproven statement. It falls under the category of Sarcasm. I suggest you look into it.
                    -
Now, go back under your rock until you can come back here with some actual commentary instead of simply throwing out insults and run. If you want, you can take your blow up doll from your aborted college days (if you even made it that far) back to your mother’s basement where you live with your 16 cats inside of a cardboard castle where you cast Harry Potter spells in order to try to bring nookie to your door. When you grow a set of testicles and can actually speak in anything other than a cracked, not-yet-through-puberty, and far too high-pitched voice, then you can come back and actually try to sound intelligent instead of making stupid comments that make you look like the rear end of a beast of burden. Now get out of our comment thread.

                  • Charlie Foxtrot says:

Will, you are pissing up a rope. Oh, and I doubt any of them are your “sweetie.”

                  • Jane St.Clair says:

Ah… a condescending sexist response, that’ll make people take you seriously. Froofrou was right, we have rehashed all of the above points brighidg mentioned, which if you had any knowledge of past threads you’d know. Of course, it you had any knowledge of past threads you’d know that froofrou is one of the most sensible and fair debaters here. Brighidg was purposefully trying to start flames and he/she got them, I fail to see how it’s any concern of yours. Froofrou has just as much right to say she doesn’t want to hear brighidg’s opinion as bridgidg has to express said opinion.

  4. Ceefax says:

Barack handles them by aborting them and using the dismembered foetus in Satanic Muslim rituals designed to make the whole world yield to the might of Stalinism. Didn’t you get the latest email forward?

    • froofrou says:

No no no, he cracks open the spines and sucks the sweet stem cells so he can have superpowers. The Satanic MusliN Ritual was last week.

    • brighidg says:

His daily sacrifices of white Christian babies to his Satanic Muslim God LeninMarx is the reason he’s been winning!

      • eddiepscetti says:

Did Miner/MegaBob do a name change again? That sounds awful familiar..

      • scum-bot says:

is it possible to be Muslim and Satanic, especially considering that Allah is technically the same as God

        • I’m quite sure that it’s just an attempt to bunch two groups who are typically considered “unfavorable” into one ultimate evil…

        • Charlie Foxtrot says:

If God created everything, isn’t he Satanic?

          • That would make sense, but I’m a bit too rusty on my biblical knowledge to confirm.

            • froofrou says:

You’re oversimplifying in an attempt to prove that God can’t make a rock so big that He Himself cannot lift it.

              • Perhaps I didn’t clarify: I wasn’t trying to say that god himself was satanic, I was just saying that I might make sense that he created satan and lost control. I apologize for my lack of clarification, I was not trying to offend the religious in any way. :(

                • *IT might make sense…grammar apology as well.

                • froofrou says:

You didn’t :-) And God didn’t lose control, what He did is create this crazy thing called Free Will and then let His creations use it. Then along comes Lucifer (Satan), who thinks he is equal or better than God, and he gets his along with the 1/3 of the angels he convinced to go with him. Dang free will :-) God did not create automatons.

                  • Yea, I’m more than a little rusty on my bible knowledge…but still, free will FTW. I never leave home without a little bit of it in my pocket.

                  • eddiepscetti says:

You took the words right out of my mouth.. er, fingers.. :)

                  • PortlandMark says:

I’ve always been bothered by that: he knew how we would excercise our free will when he gave it to us, therefor, he set up a system in which he knew Satan would screw everything up and condemn uncounted souls to an eternity of torture; especially since most humans pre 1700′s were never even exposed to Christianity. It all seems a little sloppy and careless to me.

                    • froofrou says:

Foreknowlege does not consitute foreordaining. God set us up with Free Will because we are images of him. All of the lost who we as Christians didn’t minister to will be held against us, and that’s going to be a pretty crappy day. There is a song that says there are no tears in Heaven. That’s not true, otherwise there wouldn’t be a verse that says that He shall wipe away their tears.
                      -
Also, I’m not fully convinced that a truly innocent soul will be going to Hell. If someone JUST DOESN’T KNOW, I can’t see God condemning them for that. If someone kind of knows but doesn’t seek it out, that might be a different case. I refuse to try to understand God, though :-)

                  • Eh my issue was that if we have free will and God gave it to us, he still punishes us for not chosing what he wants… So how is that free will if there is only one correct choice? Sounds like sadism to me since it just gives him a pool of guaranteed people to punish.

Granted there is the limited mortal mind argument but that always just sounds like a cope out, not an answer.

                    • Seth says:

Especially when you consider omnipotence, omniscience, and
the argument that, even though God knows what you will choose, you still have free will. Take those premises together, and one can deduce that God could have created a world where we still have free will but we never freely choose to sin. After all, I never choose to flebargle. I can’t choose to flebargle because that is a null concept. God could have made sin a similar null concept.

                      • froofrou says:

Just so you know, if you read Revelation, everyone living and dead has a second chance to go to Heaven after Jesus comes back to Earth. And like I said before, foreknowlege does not mean foreordaining. The two don’t always go hand in hand :-)

                        • If the future is already written and God knows it, then there is no free will. God isn’t predicting so the ordaining term doesn’t apply. He isn’t predicting, that would be like you predicting a memory, you already know it. God is all knowing thus exists in the past and present.

By the word of the Bible, God already knows how it is going to end, that is Omniscience. ALL knowing. Foreordaining or the correct word, Preordaining isn’t a factor. He doesn’t have to guess or predict, he just knows.

So if God already knows the outcome and how it is reached, how do I have free will. The end is already decided and there is no variable. The only variables exist to us since we do not know the full equation. Ergo, God knows we don’t have free will, it is us who are truly in the dark.

                        • *headdesk* Exists in the past, present, and future… Gah, I can be a dolt sometimes.

                        • froofrou says:

Once again, that’s trying the old ‘can God make a rock so big that He Himself cannot lift it?’ It’s a matter of an immortal Being on a mortal plane, or an immaterial Being on a material plane. It doesn’t track. You can’t use one to explain the other. You’re trying to fit God into a box that makes more sense, and it doesn’t work like that.
                          -

                        • So basically you are falling back onto the Works in Mysterious ways idea. Which doesn’t answer anything. If God knows how it is going to end and punishes us for what we cannot help since we can only go as a path that results in one outcome, I don’t see the free will.

I don’t see the future as I am a limited being. God does see the future as he has control over every detail. He has information I do not have but punishes me if I make a wrong turn he saw coming. Yes there is the bible but it is written by men and shows an agenda.

                    • ema says:

Instead of thinking of it as punishment, you could think of it this way. God is an artist and we are clay. How many artists would put clay on a wheel and start spinning but not apply any pressure to the clay? You would get a real mess if you didn’t.

                      • If it isn’t punishment, then why are you afraid to go to hell if you don’t behave? I’ve read your comments before that you would go nuts and practically be a barbarian if God didn’t exist. Now you are saying there is no pressure and we’re clay. So which is it? Does it matter or not?

I can dig pressure and I can dig hardships. I do believe in God, I just don’t believe he cares. I just don’t believe in the huggy goodness you two are trying to make it. If anything, we’re disposable. He can make more, doesn’t need us, and probably is enjoying the show.

I don’t believe in law and kindness because of a man in the sky. I believe in law and kindness because I actually give a damn. Laws exist because of reason not a boogie man who will get you. God exists, I will concede that but I will be a good neighbor, lover, person, and friend because it is the right thing to do, not out of fear.

He knows the ending anyway, I will take my illusion of free will and try to put on a good show.

                        • And by pressure, I mean no punishment… *headdesk*

                        • ema says:

“I believe in law and kindness because I actually give a damn.” – That’s because you are made in God’s image… Law’s exist because we can see what happens when we follow the law and compare that to what happens to us when we don’t follow the law. The law is actually good for us…

              • n8 says:

Man, what is it with all the god talk lately? Didn’t we just do this a thread ago?

                • minerva146 says:

I think we did. McCain’s team has been doing a lot of praying? *rimshot*

                  • n8 says:

To who, Cthulu? Because McCain certainly doesn’t seem to be fighting on the side of angels these days…

                    • minerva146 says:

Not sure who they’re praying to. In the last few months I have beeen told that Obama is:
The antichrist, a narcissistic leader like Hitler, etc, a socialist, a terrorist, a muslim, not an American.

Furthermore, The crime rate in Chicago has been compared to deaths in iraq, that allowing companies to ship our jobs overseas is “free enterprise” and ought not to be restricted, and that leaders of terrorist nations want obama elected.

I’ve been told all this not by trolls on PK but by my own family. *sigh* They’re not even born again, but Catholic!! I don’t know what’s wrong with them. They used to be smarter. They’ve always been conservative republicans on a lot of issues, but at least they used to know what the real issues WERE! *sigh*

      • scum-bot says:

***The previous message brought to you by an idiot!***
***Barack Obama is no more threat to the U.S. than Karl Marx, Joseph Stalin, Osama Bin Laden, Nikita Khrushchev, Chairman Mao or any other nice radical killer with a Socialist-Marxist-Communistic-Fascist viewpoint!
***We should welcome his thoughts and embrace his plan to emulate those people despite all the death and failures during their reigns. We can do it! Yes we can!

Wow- the psychiatric pathologies here have given me an idea for my thesis……
“Internet blogs and the gathering of sociopaths” or something along that line.
Plenty of research material here, no doubt about it !

On the plus side, I do think this is one of the most natural smiles I’ve seen on McCain in months.

  10. K says:

    Simple. Barack is The Messiah.

  11. Ev says:

Wow. This is the first thread I’ve read all the way through AFTER the comments had already dissolved into a frenetic blob of jelly. I usually see them before that when it’s mild “Dems suck/Repubs suck” stuff. Now I understand what everyone means … PK is fully crazy.

    • eddiepscetti says:

Actually, the usual denizens of PK are fully sane. It’s only when the trolls start coming over the bridge is when things get a bit insane.

      • Ev says:

I see. I hear trolls are afraid of iron; perhaps that knowledge could come in handy?

        • eddiepscetti says:

Once they meet up with froofrou’s might Troll Stick and DWN’s *Wang*, they run in shocked disbelief. On those occasions where they actually get used, the troll is beat into submission and is never heard from again.

          • Jane St.Clair says:

Well, some of them create new names for themselves and then post stalk you making strange noises, as if we’re fooled by the name switch. Trolls will never learn, that’s why they’re trolls.

            • Maxwell Silverhammer says:

And you cant kill them because of that regen thing. Only acid or fire really
has a chance at getting rid of them.
