you asked how/why i knew i hate D&D w/o ever having actually played? i have friends who play it. they invited me to a game not to long ago. i observed, and didn’t get the “fun” factor, and was incredibly annoyed with the whole concept and experience. i’m a nerd, but like just a partial nerd. and i find the nerd qualities of D&D playe3rs annoying at times. now i’ve disliked D&D since i was younger, it seems like the most boring game next to chess, and i can barely stand Risk for longer than half an hour. i don’t like fantasy all that much anyways, like for video games, i can’t stand final fantasy, i’ve played 3 of them, and i got bored. WoW i have a deep and abiding hatred for, partially based on it being a waste of my time, and partially based on my college roomate who would play it at full volume at 3 or 4 am about 3-4 days a week. I prefer my video games to be fast paced, gun blazing, puzzle solving, car driving action games. I also prefer my video games to be rare, never liked them a whole heck of a lot. the only game i own is the sonic collection for PS2 and Myst for playstation ( i know – Myst is totally NOT actiony, but fun puzzles and pretty music and i’ve had it since i was a kid, back when i loved mysteries).

anyways, the game of D&D i observed got to be to much, so me and my friend Ruthie, who also hates it, decided to go buy alchohol. the D&D’ers wanted some, but they weren’;t allowed to unless they a)let us play music, or b) let us put on a movie, or c) quit playing, none of which they’d allow, so we hogged, got drunk, and started narrating the game like a pair of drunk/mean/sarcastic john maddens.

And, getting BH for less than 6 figures per share — priceless!
