2 I’ve been there too. Problem is, they devoutly believe that if they dont badger you into believing their own particular thing, that very nasty things are going to happen to you after you die. So they’ve GOT to doo it, for YOUR sake.
BTW, it was Mormons who finalylly got me out of it. Everything relied on false or self referencing logic…. and then I realised we were using the same vacuous arguments. Pity realy, I likes the idea that ‘God’ was there to lok after us… instead of us having to be responsible for ourselves and each other.

Well, his parents probably forced him to do that, he’s probably having second thoughts about his and their beliefs and many things are taken to the extreme nowadays so this isn’t very surprising. I say if people are dumb let their dumbness lead them to whatever misfortunate circumstances they run into. Usually all they want is to get attention, then stir up hate and discontent.

I agree with both you and the L. People should understand that not all Christians and Muslims are this crazy. And the whole “Whine v.s. Grape Juice” thing -as good discussion as it is- is not as important as the core message of the Gospels. I personally think it was unfermented, because the first time it was suggested in the Bible that the stuff was fermented was with the arrival of the (Highly Cathollosized) King James translation. It’s annoying when one sect of Christianity is proved wrong on something or attacked or contradicts itself, it makes everyone think that way of all Christians. Either way, whine or juice, Jesus gave an important message of love, peace and unity which all Human beings can learn from!

Hey, guys, I actually read through all of this, and I thought you might be interested in reading something that was published in PS’s Collegian recently. The man who wrote this spent quite a few years standing on the step of one of our school buildings bellowing for God to strike down the evil nonbelievers who argued with him; he’s recently come back for a few “visits”, which is how I recognized that he was the one who’d written this. But as an agnostic who believes very strongly in “live and let live,” this horrified me.

Well… In a way it could make sense – it’s easier to be undecided about a god and religion if you decide which god and religion to be undecided about? Most people i know who would say they’re agnostic are so in a specifically Christian way.

There’s that word ‘all’ again. Where do people get this stuff? There are, of course, plenty of ways to be a virgin, like being a priest and actually holding to your vows of celibacy. The point of this caption is not that all christian virgins look like this, but rather that spending your time on things like this is a great way to stay one, voluntarily or otherwise.

My entire point was that Mormon temple rituals may be offputting to people of other religions who don’t understand them. If you did some actual research as I suggested instead of whining at me, you would understand what I was talking about.

And to say someone fails at something as general as knowledge is both highly condescending and shows your true ineptness at being able to think outside of your own little box of a world.
