Ok, this is just ignorant leftist propaganda! Bush didn’t cause the recession. The recession was caused by the failure of the housing market, which waas subsequently caused by congressional regulations on mortgage companies. Google the Community Reinvestment Act. Do your homework and stop spewing ignorant garbage that you hear off of MSNBC.

My friend and her husband have a patio boat, and every July 4th, a group of us go out on the boat to the middle of the lake, lay on our backs, and watch a big fireworks show that a rich guy does every year. I have fair skin, too. It’s just a matter of wearing good clothes and sun block. I’m not a big fan of cold weather. People who move here from up north claim that we only have three seasons (no winter), but I think it gets too cold here. I’ve been up north in the winter, and it was fun, but it was nice to get back home, too. The neatest weather event I’ve ever seen was a snow storm with lightning in it. That was in Wyoming.

I would say your son deserves more then a purple heart, but unfortunately, not everyone extends their respect to those in the military. At least it’s not as bad as it was in the 70′s. Still, thankfully you have him back in one piece. Those IED’s are a scary pieces of work and to have survived three is amazing!

My family were all Navy/Marines, although my sons decided that the military wasn’t for them. I can respect that, but I think it would have given them some great life experiences. Still, they have to do what is right for them. At least they got that choice. Some of us didn’t.

I lived in Chicago for a very short time too. Around the Wilmette area in the North Shore. I know what you mean about cold! I really like smaller towns myself, if Tucson could just stay small it would be perfect,… except for the heat but that is bearable. Hope you can make it back soon!

Yes my son was Army, as was his brother — at least 4th generation, his paternal great grandad and maternal great great grandad were soldiers in WWI, his paternal granddad and grandma were soldiers in WWII, dad a lifer soldier, but after 12 years he’s hanging it up, after surviving three IED’s and earning a purple heart, he deserves it.
