Is it just me, or is the guy in the background holding the stick levitating?
He’s holding the “Stick of Levitation”…the guy behind him is about to throw the “Orb of Confusion”
are you sure he’s not wearing the levitating shoe?
Ohhh…well done…levitating shoe FTW!!
Oh my, Yes! Win seconded!
Yes, I do believe he is wearing the levitating shoe! I wonder who makes those?
Heck, that’s awesome! He’s levitating! The stick and the helmet go perfectly with it…..He’s a magical levitating ninja! 8D
oh, and first
Oh, but you started out so well. Why this?
(
I debated on putting the “first” comment up, since it adds absolutely no value to the comments section and often just leads to multiple comments afterwards berating the user for posting it. As I suspect this comment will as well. My apologies Danbala. How’s that OhMyGoodness? Do I pass English class today?
Sorry, I was really being overly grumpy when I wrote that. I had just been skimming through areas I usually stay away from (failblog etc.) thinking how nice it is that some place (PK) has a sensible comments-culture, and your “first”-post ended up being in my way just as I had the bad road rage.
P
.
(I still loathe posts like it, but normally wouldn’t comment.)
‘Sensible comment culture’?
Do you actually read the crap we collectively post?
You’d have to be on mind altering drugs to think it’s ‘sensible’…
Everything is so relative. Compared to most other internet forums I’ve been haunting through the years, the signal-to-noise ratio here is good.
I was about to add, compared to Failblog, this lot is like a conversation between Satre, Wilde, Shaw and Capote… but you beat me to it…
OK, there’s the occasion bit of Burrows, Leary, Thompson and Huxley…
But FB is more Larry, Curly, Moe, with a special guest appearance by Harpo
It’s ok. You were just saying what everyone else was probably thinking. No worries. If I wasn’t mind-numblingly bored at work myself, I probably wouldn’t have posted anything in the first place. haha
Oh, and Shift Key! And grammar!
“Careful Whitey… That’s a banana skin.”
*photoshops Roadrunner, sign in hand and cliff*
This is aprapos of absolutely nothing, not connected to the lol or any other discussion. However, at the risk of having Froo and Rho beat me senseless, here’s an interesting bit of number crunching I found elsewhere:
Republicans look like the football team dancing in the end zone in the fourth quarter of a game when they’re down by 40 points [...]
Republicans need to come to terms with the fact that over the last four years, Democrats have gained control of every level of government.
In the House, Republicans had a 232-202 majority after the 2004 election. Next year, Democrats will have a 257-178 edge. In the Senate, Republicans had a 55-45 majority after the 2004 election. Next year, Democrats will have 58 or 59 Senate seats.
After the 2004 election, Republicans held 28 governorships compared with 22 for the Democrats. After Nov. 4, Democrats held 29 governorships compared with 21 for the Republicans, although the GOP will gain one back if Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano (D) leaves, as expected, to join Obama’s Cabinet.
After the 2004 election, Republicans controlled the state legislature in 20 states compared with 19 Democratic-controlled states. Now, Democrats control the state legislature in 27 states, with the Republicans holding only 14.
And there are over 800 more Democratic state legislators than Republicans in the country, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures Web site. Four years ago, Democrats had a mere 10-seat edge out of more than 7,000 nationwide.
Given this new GOP optimism, if Democrats keep their cash in banks rather than in appliances, they could be in the majority for a very long time.
Although, it would help f some of them could get their heads out of a particular orifice… *cough*pelosi*cough*
Hopefully they won’t run around in a field of banana peels and lose the advantage before they accomplish anything. I am optimistically hopeful.
I agree with your hope, but I wouldn’t bet on it.
Though somewhat more optimistic, I agree with your guarded hopefulness.
…whut?
It’s all cyclic, Mark. While there may be a Demoractic dividend today, like all good politicians they will squander it away thinking that they have a mandate. Enjoy it while it lasts, because like the Republicans, when they crash and burn it’s a horrible sight.
I wish I could disagree with you Eddie, but you’re 100% right. However, I *will* enjoy it for now!
Nature of the beast. It’s cyclical, all right. We’re currently on the back of a weird cycle in Australia. Labor voted in federally, but suffering badly on state levels – almost the polar opposite of a few years ago. Dunno if cyclical is the best term. Tidal, maybe?
Hey, waitaminute–Why am I supposed to beat you senseless, Mark? Froo and I live near each other, but she’s a Bible thumping right-wing maven, and I’m a left-wing nut job. Did you get mixed up?
Thank you for sharing the good news! It’s nice to see it all in one place.
I like you, but if you imply that I’m a Republican again, corrective measures will be implemented.
*eyes arse-whoopin’ arsenal*
LMAO! I caught that but chose not to correct Mark. I figured it might provide a bit of entertainment.

You’ve got the evil in you, Dear One! *mwah!*
I learn from the best, love..
I thought you handled *all* trollish comments, not merely the ones that disagree with you, and my post was nothing if not trollish!
Well, originally froo was our Logic League Troll Enforcer, but the troll activity became too much for one person to handle. There is now an elite organization within the Logic League that handles trolls. Rho is a member, as is froo. You understand that, for security purposes, we can not release the names of all members of the TEU (Troll Elimination Unit). You need top level clearence for something like that.
Ooohh! That clears things up: You thought you were being trollish by introducing unrelated material. Can you imagine how busy I would be if I had to regulate that? I would have to beat myself up, too. (How embarrassing!)
Besides, you’re too tall to be a troll. Trolls are waist-high, which makes them easy to splat. I would need a ladder to get above you, and, as cunning as you are, you would move away before I could get up the ladder and aim the sledge hammer.
Nope, too tall, too clever: Troll license revoked…Next?
Hey, I haven’t thumped my Bible in at LEAST a week now, and I left my maven outfit at the cleaners *pouts*

But if I get lumped in with Rho, it’s a good place to be. Where everybody knows your name, and we’re always glad you came *hugs rho, Jane, Mark, and teh otehrs*
I’ve never seen the word ‘maven’ used as a replacement for ‘screaming nut-job’ before. I like the use of the language… and I don’t say that often about colonial
My God…it’s canceling out gravity!! Put down that wand!!
You’re right… the protesters seem to fly…
They’ll start flinging cream pies at us next!
Sounds a lot better then pepper spray!
I wantz lolcops
Is it just me or are their sheild made out of giant playing cards? -stares at diamond-
Is it just me, or is the cop falling wearing rollerblades…
It’s just you…
Down with the Greek Government!!! Huzzah!!!
