Countdown to Photoshop…
still funny
Shopped? This is Blagojevich holding a press conference to try to jam through funding for public transit, and pissing off the entire state. Chicago hated him because it had to suffer through so-called a series of impending “Doomsday,” when the CTA would have to cut a lot of buses and reduce train service; somehow the transit agency could always get rescued at the last minute. Downstate hated him because he refused to even promise them funding for their crumbling highways. Eventually a deal was struck between city and downstate, and our corruptor-in-chief sailed in and almost scuttled it.
lolol second?
lolol fail?
Oh yeah, i actually seconded AND THIRDED this picture
i’m so cool now that I’ve posted on punditkitchen
okay, dude? You’ve posted on punditkitchen…. you’re just not cool.
You aren’t considered cool here until after the assimilation ceremony, when you prove you can point and howl “TROLL-L-L-L!!” in your bestest Matthew Bennell voice.
There’s sumthin wrong with that guy’s face and head…….
He looks like a Dick Tracy bad guy.
It’s his hair. So thick… and manageable.
Blagojevich – Bringing together Democrats and Republitrons in their mutual disgust.
He’s done more for bipartisanship than anyone else, recently.
It is why I know we need a situation like the movie Independence Day before we truly give up bigotry. All it will take is some hostile aliens…
Or The Day The Earth Stood Still.
I still need to watch that.
Another Blago, not sure he can be considered responsible for Doomsday… Just another crooked politician.
His own personal doomsday I think is very close though!
I hope so! He is probably only the tip of the iceberg though.
It’s American politics… of course it’s the tip of the iceberg.
Not politics, *politicians*
Be fair now, Unc. Our politicians are no more or less slimy than those to be found in any Western-style government. Ours are just particularly bad at keeping it hidden… and we still hypocritically claim to subscribe to puritanical moral codes… and our 24-hour news cycle has a legion of talking heads desperate for anything to yammer about… and scandals are SUCH good news fodder.
I need a shot now. Whiskey or a .45, don’t care, just somebody please hook me up…
And unlike European politics, we don’t have a bunch of brazen white supremacists and Anti-Semites running around with real chances of being elected to office.
Robert Byrd, Jesse Helms, Strom Thurmund, and David Duke come to mind, but generally you are correct. Our white supremacists and anti-semites are adept at masking such sentiments. However, it still seems (sadly) permissible to indulge in gay-hate.
Oh, also Trent Lott. But I realize that two of those listed are dead, and Byrd is old as dirt. Thankfully, their era seems to be passing.
Yeah, sadly I think you are right. In Europe it’s okay to make white supremacy or anti-semitism a platform. In the USA it’s okay to make homophobia a platform.
But not in bed…
Hahaha in bed!
Nah, they wouldn’t want to deny their secret lovers. ; )
Who’s made homophobia a platform? Seems to me most US politicians won’t even touch that issue.
*passes the Bushmills to n8*
Excellent taste in whiskey! But is it red, black or green?
Enh. That’s Protestant whiskey.
*pours a round of the John Power’s*
Nothin’ will happen to him… Any political maneuverings will occur in northern Illinois… He’ll probably get reelected.
You have to be kidding. Before the arrest, his approval rating made Bush look loved.
It’s Illinois, not Alaska! Realistically he’ll do a year or so in a country-club politician’s prison, then get out and become a well-paid lobbyist. That’s the normal fate reserved for Democratic wrong-doers.
Republicans can do it too, but they also have the option of an hour long time slot on hate radio.
This is actually quite accurate.
I don’t understand how trying to sell a senate seat=doomsday. But whatever.
As I said above, I think it’s more about his career’s doomsday. Not for the world.
I wonder if he saw the sign?
*hums ace of base*
