weren’t those seven houses his wifes anyway? I’m not sure, but I heard they’re technically his wife’s. Anyway, it wasn’t one person. It’s been many over the course of his show. All these government programs put together by democrats do nothing but hurt the general public. It teaches people to rely on the government, and the hard working tax payers, rather than learning to take care of themselves. And for the record, I’m more of a libertarian, than a conservative.

How is Rush an asshole? He has his opinions just like everyone else. And he overplays his ‘ego.’ He makes fun of himself, in that way. You can tell he’s joking the first time you hear it. He’s also helped out a lot of people more than Obama or Pelosi ever have… He regularly gives away stuff to people who call in. Once, a lady called in and explained how worried she was about her finances and such. So he gave her a brand new car. He does generous things like this all the time. How is that being an asshole?
And its not like the left doesn’t have their ‘outspoken members.’

I have a fascinating theory:
Ultra-right-wingers complain about being underdogs because, in a strange way, they actually are underdogs.

No, really. Despite the way they hog the country as though it belonged to them and them alone, keep a stranglehold on the media, and periodically hijack the government, they’re losers — and on some reptile brain level, they know it. If you asked people in a non-propaganda-loaded, non-fear-mongering way what they believed in, I think most people still believe in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. So the wingnuts, although they may not be exactly sharp in terms of self-knowledge, realize that they’re losers and underdogs. Nobody really agrees with them, and (except for a half dozen corporate CEOs) nobody really wants their ideals to succeed. They’re in an indefensible position — it’s as though they endorsed slavery — and yet they feel compelled to walk off the same cliff over and over. I think it’s this subliminal knowledge that makes them such bitter, p1ssy whiners.

here’s where i had the big problem. your reason for hating rush is that he is an evil bastard who distorts the truth. and letting his “unsubstantiated hate speech go unchallenged has led many a country down the slippery slope of totalitarianism”. which simplified means that we should censor him or are country will become a dictatorship of one kind or other… and your explicit “not censoring” him line came with the caveat that he should no longer be considered news, but fiction… sure, you’re letting him talk still, but not letting it be called news is the same thing as censorship…
