If your argument regarding Iraq2 is correct, why are politicians now making statements about how they were dubious over the intel regarding WMDs, rather than pointing out that Iraq broke the peace treaty?

Current Afghan campaign is under Obama, he took over as of 1/20/2009. And Afghanistan was legal from the get go. Iraq 2 actually is 100% justified (even if it wasn’t for WMDs), b/c Mr. Hussein was not following the terms of the Treaty, which therefore allowed the Allied troops to re-engage. Of course most of the international community didn’t get those facts, and/or actually read the Treaty from the first Gulf War. As sson as Sadam fired rocket at our panes in the No Fly Zone, we had the right to invade.

My computer at work crashed and we lost all the data from 1986-2008 may it rest in peace. It was all transferred over to the new computers over the years. It was tragic and a headache *still is* because if the IRS ever comes knocking we’re just going to shrug when they ask for the data. So many voters in this country base their support not on how qualified a person is, but rather on the perceived strength of a person’s religious belief. From a certain perspective this makes sense. How many people in this country have a firm grasp of geopolitics, the interconnectedness of the world economy, or the cultural divisions giving rise to civil wars the world around? Less than 10%, I’d guess. Now, what percentage of the population is religious? Much higher, wouldn’t you agree? So, if you believe, as Sarah Palin might, that elections basically come down to popularity contests, and that the candidate who the voters can most easily identify with will garner the most popularity, then her batshiat craziness suddenly makes a lot of sense.
