When you’re fighting in a desert/urban environment in an un-armored HMMVW, your latest attempt at the M16 just jammed, and you don’t have body armor, you’re under-equipped for what’s expected of you, even if there’s umpteen thousand MBT’s sitting back in a depot stateside somewhere and the Air Force’s latest stealth fighter costs more per plane than the Indian lunar probe program (which, by the way, is nothing to sneeze at – they’re doing some awesome science with those rockets of theirs).
