Nobody died when Clinton lied about Monica Lewinsky, but hundreds of thousands died because of him in Iraq. He lied about East Timor, and thousands died. He lied in the service of his foreign policy, and many people died. I guess it’s not surprising that Clinton’s defenders would also rather focus on his sex life, since it lets them avoid looking at other more important issues.

When I was still a wage slave, I refused to partake of their ‘casual’ Friday, since it seems pointless, especially by the time they’d put in place all their prohibitions on what could and could not be worn (sports wear, work wear being the makor no-nos)
I wore my business three piece as always. Why the hell I’d care to wear a Polo shirt and Chinos (which is ‘sportswear’ and ‘work wear’, both of which were actively prohibited) I didn’t know. All I had to do was iron 5 white shirts on Sunday, and have clean skivvies and socks…

Reagan’s sub-criminal shenanigans with Central America and some of the way in which Iran was ‘solved’ after the Delta force screw up were far from ‘moral’
For me, the only real difference between Reagan and Nixon was that Nixon got caught, and Ronnie managed to keep plausible deniability while running up a pseudo boom on credit and pushing stuff that really has only just nicely come to rest now (Madoff wasn’t the only Ponzi scheme… Bonds are another one…)

I’m not sure what you were taught about Reagan, but like Roosevelt, he was the needed president for the times. I’m not saying everything he did was that good, but considering we were in the midst of a deep recession he made it possible for the country to pull itself up. Moral was incredibly low with the Iranian Hostage Situation and he managed to instill a pride in country that most people had lost. He also busted up one of the strongest unions going. So while people will remember the bad that Reagan did (and they should), let’s not forget that there were some good moments too.

Let me ask you this, the funding that he cut, was it ever re-established? Have you done any research as to why the funding was cut and when?
