I’m interested Le Moore had an ‘opinion’ since he didn’t watch the film…
The original book was naive and misogynistic in equal measure… it works when you either 18, or have a VERY skewed view of women (which tends to be the same thing)
I quite liked the film.

The police lied about that.
Its now known that they did not throw shit at the emergency services when they were trying to help him.
Some protestors even helped him up after he got hit.
A crazy cop in riot gear ran up and hit him from behind with a metal baton when he was walking along.
What makes this all even worse is he wasn’t a protestor or threatening them at all.

Yeah, you ran out of salt did you not? Euch… Must have got all slushy with all those identical people in suits tramping over it… I didn’t see much of London but I was quite impressed. I imagined a sooty place like Edinburgh but it’s all big pretty white buildings which surprised me. (I think all the soot was in the filthy air) Couldn’t live there (8 million folk all squished in together!) but it’s cool to have been… Made my sister hugely jealous at least…

Well, you’ve proved there that you’ve not read much of the back list of this place…
Basically, 9/11 concomitant with critique of US Middle Eastern Policy Post Nixon is pretty much grist to the mill…
Some of us are old enough to remember The Shah, the whold mess of the hostages, the support of Iraq while ignoring the Israeli problem until the UN found the camps in 84-85, etc… 9/11 can be seen to have roots in the Carter admin, and there aren’t many sane people here who deny it…
