So you don’t have to read the comments above yours that mention the idea that maybe he doesn’t want dust, debris, blood or other bodily fluids, etc., in his mouth/nose. It also saves you from having to use uncommonly common sense and thinking for yourself.

It’s hard to search for a link to this because eharmony’s controversy of not allowing homosexual matches are all you find (link, although I should note that they have since changed their stance on the issue). However, eharmony itself declares that you are not allowed to find your own matches and instead that you must go through their questionnaire and they make the match for you trying to find someone as close to their values and lifestyle as possible, i.e. race and religion. It’s nearly impossible to provide proof since eharmony reserves the right to deny a person based on their questionnaire. In my research it seems that many applicants have been denied for either no reason, or the reasons given are not actually consistent with their answers.

This is all besides the point, however. The poster I responded to asked if one matchmaking service was better than the other. Proven or not eharmony has been under controversy. I merely said that it depends on your moral views as it relates to the controversy. In my opinion, the burden of proof is not on me to prove that eharmony does NOT match interracial or interreligious couples but on eharmony to prove that they DO, if they want my business. Especially since they take the choice out of my hands. It is also a moral issue to me, that the creator of eharmony has such strong ties to Focus on the Family and other conservative Christian groups and goes out of his way to keep that information from the website, commercials, and other media that the casual user would have access. I don’t like to feel like I’ve been suckered into supporting something that I am against.

Again, the original question was, is match.com better than eharmony? My answer remains the same as I originally stated (if less succinct). That depends on your moral viewpoint.
