Oh Hillary, such Grace. Yet not enough.

    Lol this is hilarious!

  3. Le keLskankk says:

    she almost succeeded too :[

  4. The position of her hands is just perfect.

  5. Weekends Off says:

    She has 3 hands…..

    • Anniee451 says:

That’s what I was wondering…is someone behind her completely hidden, or did someone shop in the extra right hand to make her hands look more threatening? If so, they forgot to remove the other one. I *thought* I had seen this picture with the right hand down originally, because it seems to me I would have remembered that strangling hands position.

      I vote tentatively fake.

      • independent says:

Someone wearing a black suit is behind and facing away from Clinton and is reaching toward that mirror area. Reaching for a panic button maybe?

      • rhorho says:

Yes, and cameras shoot in series, so you probably saw another shot of this same sequence.

Your ‘shop cry doesn’t fly, because there’s no point made by putting in the arm/hand of someone behind her.

        • rhorho says:

Arms and hands (plural), that should be.

        • Anniee451 says:

It could have been another shot. But I wasn’t thinking someone shopped in the arm in the back, that would be dumb. I was thinking they put in her strangely positioned right hand, the one in the front, then forgot to remove the arm hanging down. Zoomed in, it does look like the sleeve is slightly darker, but there’s no visible head, legs or feet on the mystery person. You’d think there would at least be feet. Or a foot. Or some sign that there’s a human being there besides a phantom arm. {shrug} I’m not an expert; I don’t know if it’s shopped or not, but her hands look weird. What the hell is she holding, a miniature cauldron that matches her suit?

          • rhorho says:

If you look by her right leg, you can see what I presume to be
the man’s pant leg on our left side (her outside). It’s in shadow,
and he’s just far enough behind her to be obstructed.

Also, by the back of her collar there is a shape that could be his
nose. Her hair isn’t that long, at any rate.

            • anniemcphee says:

Yeah, I finally saw it. It’s pretty funny because whatever she’s holding is invisible, so the caption works well.

    • Mr.Wholesome says:

      No, he has a Ninja.

    • saxdiva says:

Medusa had snakes for hair… Hillary has multiple arms. It’s all good.

She is really Shiva, God of Destruction!

  6. lowly grunt says:

    Red light! Green light!

  7. Mr.Wholesome says:

Most of the “Hillary hates Obama” jokes have gotten old but this one is awesome. Pure gold.

  8. Outthere says:

    OMG, that caption is perfect!

    • Anniee451 says:

It is pretty funny. Though I never ever thought I’d say such a thing, I think people are taking cheap shots at Hillary because they’re just not willing to take any at Obama…and that almost makes me sympathize with her. Which makes me really f***ing cranky.

      • I find the humor of bitterness between them to be rather human and thus engagingly funny. So far nothing has really stuck to Obama to make into a schtick. Rather frustrating as I like to mock equally and I haven’t been able to that much this time.

Anything I have thought up to poke him with was either contrived or irrelevant. I also don’t hate him so the excessive low blows haven’t worked for me either. However, he has plenty of time to do something Lolzworthy, I just need to be patient.

        • Anniee451 says:

Yeah, that makes sense, really. Obviously I feel differently but I can understand feeling that way.

          • If it makes you feel any better, check out my very first lolz about Obama. Very low brow and tasteless so I cut back on making them while I wait for something above the obvious nonsense. I have cut back on Bush ones too for what that is worth.

            • anniemcphee says:

I hadn’t thought to look; I will. Though I do think you’re missing out if you think he hasn’t done anything funny yet. I’ve seen some excellent (and non-cheap-shot, non-lowbrow, non-hate) funny stuff about him.

Check out IMAO sometime if you want some examples. They have a whole series in there of one or two line posts simply titled “I Hope He Fails” but it’s all silly stuff, like, “When Obama tries to (I can’t remember; insert some really complicated WOW lingo about missions and upgrading to a new status), I hope he fails.” Though that is really more making fun of hte silly outrage about Limbaugh’s comments than about Obama himself; but there is a lot there anyway. Oh, wait, there was one – there has been talk about Obama speaking to scientists about possibly shooting pollutants into the outer atmosphere to control the climate (google it; I can’t link – it’s true) and IMAO said, OK, this is too much. He was elected, and if he wants to screw up the country, fine, he can do that, fair enough. But he does NOT get a weather machine! The humor’s already there; you just have to find it.

      • Jane St.Clair says:

Hey, I love Hill, I voted for her in the primaries, but part of the reason she’s such a lol worthy target is the poor woman sure photographs some crazy faces! That and even her most ardent supporters can’t deny her ruthlessness.

        • wicked witch says:

I think she’s doing the best she can in a pressure-cooker environment. She’s a tough politician in a rough game, and so far I’m proud of her as a Secretary of State.

      • Lilith says:

There are funny captions about Obama – I found the one with the jet turbines and his ears to be hilarious – but most pictures targeting him are simply trying to spread hate and condescendence without being funny. He lacks unvoluntary comical facial expressions, there was no really shameful incident in his past, he isn’t guilty of a “kitchen sink”-communication strategy or other major, obvious faults. Most captions which portray him are trying to illustrate him as a deceiver or as a megalomaniac. They fail because they aren’t rooted in his actual behaviour, but in envy, personal dislike and political opposition.

So it isn’t a bias *in favor* of Obama, but rather a bias *against* Obama that makes most Anti-Obama captions suck. A lulzy caption has nothing to do with taking a cheap shot, but all with being witty. I don’t want to see Anti-Obama-Pics which aren’t funny and only featured to suggest that this site were politically balanced. It isn’t, the lulzy politicians will always be stronger present than the normal or cool ones. So those who can’t stand Blowjob jokes about Clinton oder Stupidity captions about Bush should look for another site, because as long as Blowjobs and Stupidity keep a comedic value, their poster-guys are doomed to fame ;)

        • anniemcphee says:

“A lulzy caption has nothing to do with taking a cheap shot, but all with being witty.”

I agree (though the cheap shots are mostly cathartic for the creator of the caption and aren’t good for the site.) But the vast majority of the Bush photos have not been any better or any wittier. It’s like suddenly demanding the high road after 8 years of chimp pictures superimposed on Bush’s face.

“I don’t want to see Anti-Obama-Pics which aren’t funny and only featured to suggest that this site were politically balanced.”

No, I don’t either (not to say I don’t make them, but that’s not for the purposes of having them featured; I just find it fun to do when pissed off) but I would like to see the anti-conservative captions at least be witty too. Actually, it would be nice if *only* funny stuff got voted onto the page, and if it actually were somewhat balanced.

I don’t agree that Obama isn’t lulz worthy though – I made a series based on the Deep Thoughts stuff over a picture of him putting on that “deeply thoughtful” look he puts on sometimes that I thought was actually very funny. But aside from that, there really is a lot there; it’s just that people are too smitten (and many just too biased) to recognize it. There’s a whole blog called Barack’s Teleprompter that IS really funny. There’s IMAO, which has put up some totally hilarious stuff and it isn’t hateful nor is it cheap shots – just funny. In fact, Crowder just put up a video on how comedians keep saying that this administration just isn’t funny and how incredulous that is, and IT is really funny (though most of it is dedicated to a Biden as the Rain Man impression heh.) Trust me, the humor is there. I just wish some of it were *here.* While perhaps it might not all amuse his fans here, it would bring a little diversity and no, it doesn’t have to be hateful. (Neither do the anti-conservative ones, though many of them are.)

          • rhorho says:

I get what you’re saying, but wanted to add a point. You probably don’t agree, but you do realize that there are people who genuinely think Bush is a war criminal and people who genuinely think his actions in domestic intelligence gathering are criminal, as well.

To those people, there is more material there for ridicule than there is with Obama, much in the same way that there are more jokes about priests than there are about lamps. Further, ridiculing a despised person is easier than ridiculing someone who hasn’t done anything despicable (yet).

If you can’t think about it that way, then you could possibly think about it this way: Eight years vs. less than three months.

            • Jane St.Clair says:

And Hillary has a long career to pull from as well. Part of it simply is the logistics of longer in politics = more stuff to make fun of.

              • anniemcphee says:

I know, except for making fun of the genuinely bad bad things she’s done, people just focus on stupid things like her crazy-face looks and the defeat at Obama’s hands. Ok, the defeat thing is kind of funny because she wanted it so bad for so long and has been working her entire life for that position; but she always had backups. If Obama hadn’t taken her on she’d likely have gone for the UN or the World Bank; that’s probably still to come.

                • Jane St.Clair says:

Because then you lose the humor and move into the realm of political commentary. You rarely have both. That’s why you don’t see captions that say “Bush is a war criminal lol”. Agree or not that is firmly held belief of some people but it’s not funny.

            • Jane St.Clair says:

Oh, and let me add, one of my absolute favorite Hill and Obama captions was the one that DWN did about the spitball. It wasn’t mean or malicious and it was funny because of familiarity, it’s something most people could relate to.

            • anniemcphee says:

Yes I do realize that, but the phenomenon predates both 9/11 and the wars; going back to the campaign and the election fiasco. In fact, it’s pretty much gone on as long as I can remember, before Watergate. I’m not some giant Bush fan; I thought he was the worst out of the primaries that time around, in fact.

And Obama’s been campaigning for years, so 3 months is way understating it. But with all the things that we know about him, from his associations and his leanings (things he’s written about himself, radio interviews from what, 13 years ago) etc. etc. ad nauseum – from Prairie Fire on down the line, I really don’t agree that he’s done nothing despicable or at least that there is nothing despicable about him. The things that have come to light and had come to light during the primaries alone – I mean, having your own party members scrubbed in back door deals so you can run unopposed all the time, just to name one – I’m not talking about the speculative stuff but the known things that just were never publicized by the mainstream press; wiping Wright off his website the minute his hate-rants went public and throwing him under the bus after previously defending him and then pretending it never happened or he never knew only to have Wright surface again on the talk circuit days after the election – no, I just can’t agree that just because he is not despised by perhaps half the voters in the country doesn’t mean there’s nothing despicable. Whether it can be funny is another matter; I trust that most things can be made funny if funny people make the effort. Also, just because Bush may be despised as a war criminal doesn’t make him a despicable war criminal – it means that that is how some people view him and the press happily joined in.

I also think it’s despicable that Michelle was greeted in Fort Bragg to a glowing media and claimed that he and she cared about these forgotten men who the administration had been ignoring, because no matter what you (g-you) think of Bush, it is beyond dispute that he spent a LOT of time with wounded soldiers and families of the fallen and he did it *without* fanfare or photo ops while Obama wouldn’t even go into the hospital to visit them when he found out cameras weren’t allowed. I despised the Clintons (before all their criminal shit had been investigated) because it was so phony, all just photo ops; people who treat their good acts as mere publicity stunts disgust me. With the Clintons, they literally had television producers helping them orchestrate their public lives. Obama has once again brought in professional dirt diggers to the White House, and Rahm dead fish stabbing the table enemies list guy – I mean, damn, what does it take for someone to feel put off by any of these things that would be regarded as horrifying if a conservative did them? I am genuinely stymied by it; I’m NOT stymied that he won the election at all – that was expected; we were getting a Democrat this time, period. But the level of adoration in light of what we already know is very very weird. But then again, not very weird, because it’s always been this way, as I say, since I can remember.

              • rhorho says:

I guess you don’t get what I was saying. That’s all you needed to say.

Anyway, the bit about the Obama hospital visit has been disproved on PK many times over, as have other things you have exaggerated, spun, misrepresented, etc.

Rather than rehash the stuff again with you, I’m going to go out and enjoy a beautiful day, and leave you with a reminder that we were talking about one topic only. Text-walling with a mess of red herrings isn’t going to work on me today.

Keep your hopes up, though. Maybe someone else will fall for it.

                • lowly grunt says:

I’m glad you are having a lovely day where you are Rho. we have rain today – boo! I wondered who you were responding to and and I scrolled and scrolled and scolled up the wall I guess who it was. And was right.

                  Hope your day stays lovely!

                  • Jane St.Clair says:

Yeah, I’m so jealous of Rho right now. We have sun but it’s not even 50 degrees outside. And that IS a nice day compared to what we’ve been having.

                    • lowly grunt says:

We’ve been all over the place. Butt ugly cold at the beginning of the week, gale force winds mid week, beautiful day on Thursday, sorta okay yesterday, rain today. Not sure what’s in store for tomorrow…. I’m sort of a afraid to look!

                      • rhorho says:

We have had some whacky weather here, too, but it seems to be settling down now. I had to cover my bedders and tropicals Monday night, but had a perfect day in the sun today. Weird stuff!

                  • rhorho says:

Thank you! I had a great day out in the sun. PK is fun, but weeds wait for no one! I’m putting in a new butterfly bed this year, so it will be a nice place for the nurse to roll me to sit while my broken back heals…

                • anniemcphee says:

Well it’s raining here, so. And no, of course I don’t expect you to agree with my assessment of the man; the point was that just because you despise one man and I despise another doesn’t inherently mean anything – we could both be wrong, we could both be right, and we could be one wrong and another right. I *did* get what you said (contrary to your opinion I’m not stupid); it’s been said before. People really truly believe Bush is a war criminal, thus it’s logical that he gets mocked on more or is hated more, etc. And there are also people who have found Obama to be *genuinely* despicable too for a wide variety of reasons. There is more than enough to have plenty of captions and there has been for some time now. And you have predictably come in with a low blow (reducing my reply to “text-walling” when in fact I was genuinely trying to explain why I find a person despicable just as you said why people find Bush despicable.) So no, you haven’t disappointed me; you’ve behaved like you usually do. A couple of reasonable posts and then a sucker-punch. (And don’t bother – “no one is falling for your victim act, Anniee; you’re just whining about being a victim” because I don’t care that you believe that; it’s just stupid.)

And you can’t “disprove” something that actually happened – such as the visit to the hospital that didn’t occur because no cameras were allowed; and this is already becoming the pattern. I don’t like camera-whore phonies, and that’s how they’ve been behaving.

                  • Anniee451 says:

And now the bow so deep it looked like attempted fellatio is not really a bow: ““It wasn’t a bow. He grasped his hand with two hands, and he’s taller than King Abdullah,” said an Obama aide, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.”

And suddenly lawlessness has become cause for praise – what would have been unthinkable just 3 months ago is really just social justice (Cloward-Piven in action – tie up the courts, the police, and the bureaucracy to destroy private property rights and enact socialism.) Link.

Oh yeah, nothing to see here; it’s all good. Red herrings my ass.

                    • wicked witch says:

If you’re having a problem with a president with an international
background bowing to another head of state, you need help.

                      • trolldujour says:

Of course when Bush held his hand (merely to steady him as they walked) it was some sort of huge disgrace and proof that he was in cahoots with the terrorists…
And, what kind of international background does Obama have? He had absolutely zip foreign policy experience, that’s why he chose Biden for VP.

                      • Anniee451 says:

But didn’t you hear? His aides are denying that he bowed, so what to do? Did he or didn’t he? (His head was roughly on the level of the guy’s waist, so it seems pretty clear.) But he sure didn’t pay that respect to the queen, eh? No, she got a barely discernible head nod and Michelle started pawing her, which is a huge no-no. Then they gave her an iPod LOL.

If you’re going to refuse on principal to bow to foreign royalty, I’m fine with that. If you’re going to curtsty to the floor for one and directly insult the other, especially considering the nature of *which one* got the bow, then we have a real problem indeed.

The level of head-in-the-sand even now with this stuff being so blatant is always kind of surprising. Much as you probably felt when you became sure Bush was a baby-killing Nazi and some of us didn’t demand his head on a platter. And so it goes.

                    • rhorho says:

Wow. I hope you get better weather soon! You may ease up on the overkill later, when you don’t have so much time on your hands.

Obama’s gaffes cannot hold a candle to Bush’s war crimes and damage to our country.

That said, in terms of LOLs, Obama’s far less of a laughing stock than Bush, but more Obama LOLs are on the way, as the days wear on, and people push memories of Bush away.

Fair point about Obama’s exposure to the nation being longer than his presidential days. Likewise, Bush had exposure screwing up Texas education as governor, and had a national campaign period, too.

OT, I heard a rumor that Bush and Cheney aren’t speaking. ave you heard that one? I remember hearing that Cheney was sorely p!ssed that Bush didn’t pardon Scooter Libbey, but evidently, the bad blood between the two continues. Bush is having a meeting of some sort involving loyal members of his administration. Cheney will not be there. Condi Rice is the only big name in attendance, in fact.

                      • Anniee451 says:

No, I hadn’t heard about them not speaking; it wouldn’t surprise me. They had a rough ride. I’ve been hearing quite a bit about that Dick Cheney Executive Assassination Ring/Death Squad thing.

I still don’t know if they are going to be riding dinosaurs with rocket launchers or sending in robots, but I hope they don’t put the robots on the dinosaurs, because that’s just asking for trouble. Kucinich sounded the alarm about the ring some time ago but that big journalist guy (whatever his name is, some guy involved with Watergate back in the day) says the investigation is ongoing.

The war crimes cries are sillier than the assassination squad conspiracy theories; usually discussed by people who don’t know about rules of engagement, actual Geneva Convention principals, Nuremberg or tribunals in general, etc. I just ignore people who fall back on those words like they used to say “Halliburton!” Words have become kind of meaningless with regard to the hard left.

We’ll just have to disagree about what is and isn’t treacherous and anti-constitutional and anti-American, obviously.

                        • rhorho says:

Torture is a war crime, and Bush/Cheney condoned it. Our enemies need only follow our guidelines to decide how to treat captured American military personnel.

If you think that’s silly, you may want to write a nasty note to John McCain.

                        • slan agat says:

Bush and Cheney didn’t just condone torture. They ordered it.

The Geneva Convention requires signatories not only to refrain from torturing, but to prosecute the torturers. Every day we put off war crimes trials, we are further violating the Geneva accords.

Anyone who thinks that charges of war crimes mean you “don’t know about rules of engagement, actual Geneva Convention principals, Nuremberg or tribunals in general, etc.” is not just dangerously ignorant, they’re willfully obtuse.

                        • Anniee451 says:

Like I said, absolute ignorance. Keep applying the inapplicable – it’s never going to apply no matter how hard you try to make it. But by all means, keep saying it, and keep doing stuff like that crazy woman who got up on the stage and tried to handcuff Karl Rove LOL – that was hilarious.

Here’s just a tiny hint: why might it have been important to change the term of the enemy combatants *from* “enemy combatants” to something else? Think really hard.
