    Good thinking, Barack!

    • Onion says:

      Not really in my opinion.

      • RedWhiteAndBoom says:

Amen to that. This screwed up notion that Michelle Obama is hot was wearing thin the first time they pitched it. Once again, I have more respect for Sarkozy. At least he LIKES America, and HIS wife is hot enough to be a model :-)

        • onceajinx says:

It’s not the hawt, it’s the lurve!

When you love a woman, she IS supermodel hawt to you. A good partner just gets better and better. It’s awesome!

        • Eric-in-STL says:

I don’t know what you’re thinking, but she’s far and away one of the hottest first ladies we’ve ever had.

          • cyberbelum says:

Isn’t that like saying “she’s the best of the bottom of the barrel?” Mrs. Bush wasn’t an eyesore, but she was quite a bit older than my preference. Mrs. Obama is much younger, but she’s about as hot as my ass sitting in the snow without any pants on. Hillary pretty much set the standard at the bottom of the barrel, though the first Mrs. Bush had already set it down low. Mrs. Reagan was just too old, but she was quite beautiful in her younger years.

Now, if this pic had been done in reverse, with Anti-American-President asking to trade for Mrs. Sarkozy, that would be much more believable.

          • PortlandMark says:

I agree completely. Smart, educated, classy, and a good mother. Sure, if you’re looking for a bikinin model, she may not be your gal; but we can’t all date supermodels! For that matter, who would want to marry one?!?

          • April says:

            *ahem Jackie Kennedy ahem*
Frances Clevelend, Ellen Arthur, Lucy Hayes, Lucretia Garfield, all, to me, have physical beauty at this link.
The all around most beautiful first lady will always be Eleanor Roosevelt.
It’s a personal thing, so I can’t really rationally explain it.

        • AL says:

Yea she is way hotter then Michele. Being portrayed (and even being) as classy does not necessarily make you hot. Hell I know many women who are classy…they are grand mothers….I wouldn’t say they are hotter then a model (or former model). Classy != Hot

    • dstar says:

Has anyone noticed that Michelle Obama has an underbite? She’s not that pretty. Stylish, oh yeah…pretty not so much.

      • meglet says:

it’s not really about how pretty she is or not, the girl has style, and she’s intelligent and interesting. I’d hope your average Decent guy wouldn’t trade that for something slightly prettier.

        • bob says:

It’s easy to have style when you have a team dedicated to make you look good…. seriously she has more handlers than Britney spears

        • The abominable Raccoon says:

          You’re kidding, right? She’s a fricken ape.

        • dropulus says:

… she’s had a personal stylist on the payroll for the last 5 years… so… duh.

          • meglet says:

k srsly you guys style isn’t just about looks either, i’m saying she’s classy, and yes handlers can bring that out in a person but i’d hazard a guess that she had plenty already. and hey, raccoon boy, aren’t you a fricken ape? or are you lower on the evolutionary ladder?
i just think she’s better than your average pillbox-wearing giggling simpering bimbo. And she’s moderately pretty. GAWD

        • chewie42 says:

And here you all are calling us sexist without even considering if the hot chick has a brain…she might even be interesting and classy

  2. GazUtd says:

    Oh how we didn’t laugh

  3. Wolvie says:

    Sarkozy isn’t into men Obama!

  4. NFingWay says:

I don’t think Sarkozy is in to paper bag sex.

  5. ---------- says:

Like Carla Bruni is sooo repulsive??? She is HOT!

  6. Lol213 says:

who ever wrote this doesn’t know what their talking about Carla she is beautiful…… and you can’t say much about Michelle

    • solnesther says:

Carla is a very attractive woman and Michelle Obama is also, particularly when compared to the frumpy beady eyed librarian who preceeded her.

      • Kroenen says:

        Amen!

      • NFingWay says:

Of course, who doesn’t like a woman who looks a woman?

Let’s all just dump our hot wives and hook up with male-faced, faux intellectual, wannabe revolutionaries.

        • Dhoti says:

Hot and lazy — sounds like a real winner.

        • Lllll. says:

          …yes, but does she take-it-in-the-ass?

        • NFingWay says:

If your wife’s an intellectual, why the hell did she support a guy who’s platform changed between leftist and centrist during the campaign. If your wife is an intellectual, she would of noticed that in the REAL WORLD, statist economics do not aid the lower and middle class, but in fact aid in the creation of monopolies and cartels for the UPPER CLASS. Markets sans government over regulation allows for a level playing field in which the poorest minority could start a business. Capitalism lets people work on their own merits. Nanny state crybabies like your wife assume we’re all stupid and need help from esoteric pseudo-intellectuals who don’t have the balls to let people run their own lives.

Oh, and she should slap you for your typos.

          • Eric-in-STL says:

So because you don’t like the Obamas’ politics, you’re gonna call Michelle an ass-face? Wow, you truly are a pathetic ‘human being.’

            • chewie42 says:

I notice you don’t call all the lefties pathetic when they call the Bush everything but a white guy….you are not pathetic but you are a hypocrite

          • rhorho says:

Oh, and she should slap you for your typos.

            Line 1: whose, not who’s
Line 2: question mark, not period
Line 3: would have, not would of
Line 6: over-regulation, not over regulation

            Judge not, etc.

      • alexp says:

but uh last time i checked mrs bush wasnt in the picture and were comparing carla and michelle, no offense carla is much prettier, infact michelle looks sorta like a frumpy librarian with what shes wearing and how shes pictured here…

    • Palema says:

This is not about who has the prettier wife, it’s about love. If it was about having a trophy wife, Obama would have replied ‘In our family, we dont treat people like trade objects.’

  7. d says:

Why are those women standing there all hunched over like they are the last picks at the senior dance?

    • viking gal says:

      Maybe they are cold?

    • pcflamingo says:

      1) Not hunched-over
      2) Maybe they’re trying to look dignified and serious at a dignified and serious event? No matter how they stood, what facial expression they had on, what style of clothing they chose to wear, someone would find fault. Can’t win, can they?

  8. Ford Prefect says:

Yeah, it would be pretty stupid of Barack to trade Michelle “Pie Face” Obama for a gorgeous former fashion model who is heir to a very large Italian tire company fortune. My real question is: Which one of those people in the background is holding Michelle’s trick-or-treat bag?

  9. solnesther says:

Randy little Frenchman says “Maybe just fer one night?”

  10. Czernobog says:

What the hell is Michelle wearing? Was that her Halloween costume?

    • Lllll. says:

…after wowing the whooooooooooole world with the blood spatter pattern on her election night frock ( it would have been really classy if the daughters had worn the same ) she went with a repeat pattern of puckered pink lips for this event…

  11. SwampWillow says:

Error: The captions need to be switched.

  12. April says:

Totally sexist, and not the least bit funny.
    -1 internet

    • viking gal says:

Well yes. But I think the best defense would to come up with an equally sexist caption on a photo of a guy or 3. I triple-dog dare you!

    • Musicmom870 says:

Agreed. We need some chocolate bunny jokes. This just isn’t funny.

    • alexp says:

go cry over it. its what most men think an dim sure barack thought about women during college especially when stoned.

    • The Steve says:

Oh, it’s sexist now, but it’s fine when Putin gets posted as a “sexy beast”.

It isn’t sexism, it’s a joke. Lighten up, srsly. I do agree that it isn’t all that clever or funny.

      • viking gal says:

The joke itself was sexist but not too bad (rather like the Putin postings previously). The nasty trashing of the women in it according to their appearance (rather than personality, actions or accomplishments/mistakes) goes WAAY over the top, in a way that the Putin posts do not. Go back and see if anyone calls Putin a dog, a ‘ho’, or a hatchet face, and then look at these posts again. I don’t mind some light-hearted sexual objectification, or banter, or teasing. But nastiness like that above takes away the fun for many of us women-folk!

  13. Obama Loves says:

    Thanks For Information…

  14. jimmy bones says:

    I LOLd

  15. slan agat says:

They each appeal to different standards of beauty and I can see how some guys would go for either of them and some wouldn’t. (IMHO people who kick and fuss about Michelle being ugly are either predisposed to hate her because of who her husband is, or simply exhibiting a preference based on race – which is not to say they’re being racist, only to say that most people are likely to find sexual attraction in people more like themselves.)

I haven’t read enough to pass any sort of judgment on Carla Bruni Sarkozy’s personality, nor have I seen much of how she and her husband interact. But it is refreshingly obvious, after the rather sterile public image of the last first couple, that Barack and Michelle are very much in love. The man works his schedule to miss as few family dinners as possible, he’s openly and comfortably affectionate in public, and she clearly adores him.

There’s more than just appearance going on in turning down the trade, guys.

  16. MM says:

Ummm….perhaps I missed the “last first couple” because GWB and Laura were pretty loving towards one another. My husband and I don’t tongue and grope each other in public so I guess by some of the standards around here we’re cold and unaffectionate.
    /sarcasm

Having said that, both women are attractive IMO, I think this comment is just another lame-ass, fawning, “The Obamas are, like SO COOL” picture. Wow….haven’t seen that before. *yawn*

    • Dargooryf says:

It IS just such a fawning picture which makes it quite a fail, pandering to the medias constant, “hey he’s so cool! she’s so sexy!” . What makes it worse is the subjective nature of the caption. As demonstrated above, it seems a relatively equal balance between people agreeing and disagreeing with the caption. Without an obvious truth there is no real punchline :(

  17. GloriaMundi says:

What an unflattering & dull grey outfit Ms Bruni is wearing – deliberately fading into any available background?

    • NFingWay says:

She doesn’t need to be a fashion fad since she doesn’t look like RuPaul when he wakes up.

The hottest women need the least attention paid to their clothes.

  18. ghandi says:

Michelle Obama seems too big even for Obama. Not saying that Michelle is fat, just that she has a big figure while Obama is very skinny.

  19. The Silent One says:

captions have to be totally inverted, not saying michelle’s not hot, she’s a little up above the average, now Carla… c’mon, she’s a freaking model, if you dont think she’s hotter I think you may need to see an ophthalmologist

    • Uncle Fester says:

Feh! The idea that ‘model’='hot’ simply means you’re incapable of original thought.
Ever considered going for a Darwin? Your loss is out species gain…

      • solnesther says:

Sol fist bumps Fester – say isn’t your avatar from a radical cartoon I used to read back in the whenever the hell it was? There was also a milkman who was more than a little disturbing. Please help me with a name or a hint that I can use to search out that gasp from my past.

      • NFingWay says:

Model does equal hot… hence her BEING A MODEL.

Plus, if Michelle is above average you have a low standard for women.

        • I have yet to find near starved women with the skeletal grace of a deprived ten year old boy attractive. Nor do I find the fashion designs of gay men tossed onto waifish women appealing. For the mentally destitute, I am referring to those model creatures and the ghouls that spawned them. I haven’t seen much in the way of models in too many years that could do anything for me besides give a nasty contusion from all the bones jutting out.

However, I can admit that I am a pathetic little rube but I do prefer curves. That said, Michelle doesn’t do it for me either. I like more T&A on women and she seems a bit thin for me too. I’m not much for her smile either. However, I do find her pretty just not sexy.

        • viking gal says:

Model means having a skinny elongated body on which designer clothing will hang well. Preferably with a face which serves as a good ‘canvas’ for differing styles of makeup. If you had ever seen a professional model in normal clothes, without makeup on, you would know this.

  20. Anniee451 says:

Just ew. Reverse the captions and it might work.

    • rhorho says:

Still, no. The male chauvinism doesn’t work, no matter how hard the effort.

      • Jane St.Clair says:

Why is it that one of the first ways most people show their disagreement with a female public figure is to insult her looks (or in the case of the creator of the lol, show support by exaggerating looks). Why are females so easy to reduce to nothing more than surface wrapping? It annoys me.

        • alexp says:

cause its what women have put up with for years and years and continue to prepetuate in the current male-centric world (especially in politics) and giving into the horrible examples of women in popular culture.

          • viking gal says:

I will agree that women certainly contribute to the problem–probably half, at least. But the language in your entry implies that it is entirely the fault of women. On that, I do not agree.

          • Eric-in-STL says:

            Run-on sentence troll runs on.

        • Dhoti says:

I assume you attacked the Sarah Palin misogyny with the same ferocity, right? Right?

          • Eric-in-STL says:

I remember a lot more people criticizing her for screwing up interviews and destroying McCain’s campaign than people criticizing her for her looks, except of course for the ridiculous wardrobe nonsense. Sorry, you failed.

            • Dhoti says:

I’m guessing you’d fail a “Sarah Palin or Tina Fey?” quiz. But by all means, puff yourself up, dig up that last shred of decency, and pretend you kept it all above the belt.

I guess it’s true what they say — you can’t shame the shameless. You fail at humanity.

              • Eric-in-STL says:

My decency has been shredded? WTF happened to it? And Dhoti, you have proven on here again and again just what shameless really means.
And humanity sucks. Failing at humanity is my win.

                • froofrou says:

I’m constantly amazed that someone who is as clueless as Dhoti managed to string together a coherent sentence. I sometimes wonder if he means for the words to come out of his mouth that way, or did they all just fall out randomly.

            • NFingWay says:

              Fact-based reality FAIL

          • pcflamingo says:

Gotta agree with Eric – the criticism of Sarah Palin was overwhelmingly devoted to her politics, brain power (or lack thereof) and knowledge of current events, or what newspapers she had or had not been reading. Don’t recall sniping about her looks, other than how she looked in the fabulous wardrobe the RNC bought for her. Dahlink! You look MAHvelous!

          • Anniee451 says:

            But of course! Oh, wait…

            • Jane St.Clair says:

Oh, both of you are so clever! You remember all the conversations we’ve had where I personally have reduced Sarah Palin to her looks and now can call me on the fact and imply that I’m only offended because it’s Michelle Obama. Wait a minute, I’ve never had a conversation about Sarah Palin with either of you, nor have I mentioned her much since the election. If you were around during the election you would know that I mainly critiqued her political position on certain issues and the only comments about her looks were from guys and that they were usually favorable. That means you are both lumping me in with some stereotypical notion you have of a “liberal” and are in fact, talking out of your asses as normal.

              • Dhoti says:

I don’t suppose you could find a few example of that enlightened discourse, could you?

                • Jane St.Clair says:

No, I don’t. You’re the one who accused me of treating Sarah Palin as a sex object. You prove it or admit your making sh*t up as usual.

                  • Dhoti says:

Um, no. You were the one who mentioned your purported comment history (conveniently buried many months in the archives), and when asked about it, you start whining and moaning about making stuff up, as though you have something to hide and want to deflect attention away from your baseless claims. Does that sound about right?

No matter how many times this is explained to you, you seem to be too dense to figure it out, so I’ll try again, in small words — YOU claim something, YOU prove it. Post some links. Can you do that?

                    • Jane St.Clair says:

No, idiot, you responded to MY comment about the treatment of female public figures with a remark implying that I somehow mistreated Sarah Palin. By your own assertion, if YOU accuse me of it, YOU have to prove it.

                      • Dhoti says:

                        So that’s a no, you don’t have a link?

                        • Yes, she is using just as much hard evidence as you are. Is it that hard to back up your words since she is the accused and thus you need to present evidence as to why she is guilty?

                        • Jane St.Clair says:

Okay, let me slow this down for you since you seem to be suffering from traumatic brain injury. Here is where you felt the need to inject yourself into my statement:

I assume you attacked the Sarah Palin misogyny with the same ferocity, right? Right?

You are the one who made a baseless claim FIRST so the burden of proof is on you to prove that I DIDN’T defend Sarah Palin. You can’t throw around accusations without anything backing it up and then expect me to defend myself with proof. Well you can, but you further prove yourself to have the debating skills of a chimp on xanax.

                        • Dhoti says:

Read the thread again, carefully. I asked her a question. She responded with a defense, then refuses to prove it. Yes, I understand that willful ignorance is standard practice around here, but that’s just lazy.

                        • Dhoti says:

Jane, I think you might have missed the day in grammar school when they explained what a question is. (See that question mark at the end? That makes it a question, hon.) You might want to think about that before blathering on about your mad rhetorical skillz.

                        • Jane St.Clair says:

Since you used the word “rhetorical” then I assume you know what it means. As in, the question you asked me was a rhetorical one. It was a thinly vieled accusation and you know it. You’re only trying to back track now because you look like an ass.

                        • Dhoti says:

You realize that the word “rhetorical” has multiple meanings, right? No backtracking — don’t get all butthurt because you got called on your bullshit. (But I’m sure that’s what you’ll accuse me of next, because that seems to be your only M.O.)

And still no link, I see.

                        • rhorho says:

@Dhoti: Could you be a bigger ass?

That was a rhetorical question, so, by your standards, it’s up to you to prove that you’re not.

Oh, and don’t be lazy, now…

                        • Jane St.Clair says:

The fact of the matter is, I do have a link to a post I wrote about how it would be a bad idea for the democrats to attack her on anything other than her policy positions. I refuse to post it now. I’ll be damned if I let someone accuse me of something and then having to “prove” that his accusations are baseless. He is only asking me for proof because nothing I have said since he’s been posting has implied that I think it’s okay to treat Sarah Palin as a sex object and he knows it, that’s why he accused me of doing it in the past when he wasn’t around.

                        • Dhoti says:

Oh, now you’re going to play the long-suffering soul, Jane? Too cute!

                        • So instead of actually backing yourself up, you are going to tell people to shut up and then whine some more.

And some people actually wonder what is wrong with this country…

                        • Jane St.Clair says:

Yes, I’m obviously suffering for something because I keep arguing with you when it’s clear that you live in some dream land where it’s reasonable to accuse something of actions that you don’t even know for sure that they did and then claim that they have to prove that they didn’t when they call you on it. I’m done with this conversation because there are no winners and losers when I argue with small minded assholes.

                        • Dhoti says:

                          Sarcasm? Internet? Really?

                        • Dhoti says:

Rhetorical has about four meanings in this link. I guess that’s multiple in that it is more than one. Still sounds like someone is being dodgy, though….

          • Jane St.Clair says:

I’m sorry if I’m unwilling to give the benefit of the doubt to someone who has called her a “gorilla” before.

      • Anniee451 says:

Yes, it would be dumb either way. So who the hell voted for it?

      • Anniee451 says:

Thought with all your concern about war criminal Bush and his ‘torture’ and how very very concerned you all are about all that illegal wiretapping and such, that you would be very very interested in this one. Link.

  21. greenbird says:

uhm, I think you meant to switch the captions, as Carla is actually *attractive*, where Michelle is not. not in the slightest.

  22. flodnak says:

Wow, that sure brought the sexist trolls out of the woodwork, didn’t it.

I’m guessing that whoever wrote this caption knows that Sarkozy is on his third marriage – and was criticized for divorcing his second wife, then pursuing and marrying Carla Bruni, all while he was supposed to be busy being President of France. And Bruni herself has said she gets bored with monogamy; though this is her first marriage, she has a string of relationships behind her. If there’s a presidential couple out there who might be interested in a little swingin’, these are likely to be the ones.

    • Realdef says:

Yeah, that was pretty much the basis of it. I should’ve realized that it would be reduced to a “OMG Carla’s prettier than Michelle” debate.

    • NFingWay says:

Hey, its not his fault his wife is hot and the President couldn’t find anyone more attractive than a 5 in his radical circles.

      • n8 says:

        Bitter troll is bitter.

      • The Steve says:

Perhaps, just PERHAPS, looks aren’t everything.

Maybe she is a 5 physically, but did you ever think that they might just share a deep emotional and psychological connection that makes their relationship more meaningful than just how pretty they look together in a photograph?

A model with a 10 body will be a 5 in just a few short years and a couple of kids, and then you find yourself married to someone you don’t care about, who is no longer attractive to you, and who can’t even form complete sentences or carry on an intellectual conversation. Yeah, marry for looks. That sounds like a great plan.

        • I prefer to marry for the dirty girl inside the lovely frame with a wit to keep me in line.

But yes, I concur with your assessment. :D

        • Jane St.Clair says:

You’re assuming models would venture into his mom’s basement.

        • Eric-in-STL says:

You want to know what happens to some models when they’re done modeling?
Go watch The Biggest Loser. Two of the contestants are former models. Looks aren’t everything, and they don’t always last. (Sometimes they do, but that seems to be the exception more than the rule.)

  23. X says:

So when is this site changing it’s name to “Fellate The Obamas On A Daily Basis?”

And where is this male centric world, exactly? In a male centric world, I’d be able to hire hookers legally anywhere any time I wanted. Oh, wait, you meant *rich* male *politician* centric world.

  24. nah says:

Michelle Obama is ugly & Carla Bruni is a ugly Ho …

  25. AC says:

    Hmmm…
*Considers what the trolls have been whining about*
Yeah, the captions should be on different people:
    Carla : Trade you?
    Michelle : Not a chance.
Lets start a thread reducing ugly male politicians to looks alone…

  26. Anniee451 says:

Hm – comment didn’t appear. O/T Just in case, since people were so very concerned with that horrific illegal wiretapping under Bush, I’m sure they’ll be doubly concerned over THIS – link.

  27. Anniee451 says:

link For all those who were so concerned over Bush’s illegal wiretapping. I bet this will really make you mad *cough*

  28. PistolPete says:

    Carla Bruni is HAWT

I´d invade France just for her (enter love smiley here).

  29. Chorkie says:

The unfortunate thing about Michelle Obama is that there’s no hiding her personality and the way she views the world, even when she’s trying to smile. Or maybe that’s a fortunate thing.

    • The Steve says:

And what exactly IS her personality, and how DOES she view the world?

Or were you just using vague insinuations to insult someone without actually coming up with any ideas of your own?

      • pittypat says:

Phooey, aint it obvious Steve?!! Just look at that insincere grimace of a “smile” as she plots her nefarious socialbamalist takeover of the free woild.

  30. Paulo says:

    American narcisism! Hahahha

  31. patrick says:

totally should go the other way around.
michelle obama is average at best

    • pittypat says:

Well now, Patrick! Thanks for weighing in there with your unique, well-reasoned opinion! Sheds light on the issue! Clears up the whole debate!

  32. Potatoofdoom says:

this doesn’t make sense michelle obama isn’t even that pretty and carla bruni is a gorgeous supermodel. why would nicolas sarkozy want to trade with barack obama??

  33. kl4ng says:

Carla Bruni is gorgeous. After all, she is Italian (nationalized french).
    Michelle is pretty generic.

  34. Lolnathan says:

I don’t get this one. Michelle Obama isn’t a dog, but Carla is a 10. If Sarkozy traded Carla away he’d have to turn in his man card along with her.

  35. AnnieMcPhee says:

To the darling naysayers who don’t think there’s any lulz to be mined out of Obama yet, I present you with how it’s done. Not meanspirited, not hateful, true, and funny as hell.

THAT is how it’s done, folks. Of course you could use his insistence, now that he’s in the White House and not campaigning, on continuing to negate habeus corpus. Or you could use this new wiretapping on steroids bill he’s managed to finagle which makes the entire internet his playground (including your email) and can be shut down on his whim, or you could go the route like the link above. It’s all good.

  36. amocksun says:

I know, right? Why wouldn’t he want to trade the more attractive lady for the less attractive one?

  37. Charlos says:

Michelle Obama looks like an pmsing ape with a wig on.

  38. ZackEfronIsAQueer says:

First of all french women bite, maybe he wants Obama to suffer

  39. Barack's Teleprompter says:

    Seriously, Michelle is fugly.

  40. die oslamalamadingdong says:

why would he want to trade a fine, beautiful woman and have odrama’s wife, a man dressed up in woman’s clothing?

  41. Linda says:

Since when in Michelle Obama’s life did any modeling agency seek her out as a model that they would die for???? With the walk of a football player and the mouth of a bulldog, other than extreme photo shop work how would you ever cover up major modeling flaws present in Michelle Obama??? Truth is the left wing gay liberal media has decided to pull a major illusion on the American public. If you write enough dazzling stories about Michelle and photo shop her to the max, you can convince the American public that she really is beautiful.

  42. Willie Nillie says:

    Captions are backwards.

  43. morecowbell says:

so…the joke is that obama is blind, right?

  44. LB says:

For the sake of my own sanity, I’m going to assume the LOLfactor here is that there is someone that believes BO’s wife is actually better looking than Carla Bruni Sarkozy.

  45. hawk1 says:

    thats a joke——–right

  46. Phil says:

    RE-CAPTION:

    Sarkozy- “Trade you”
    Obama- “Done and done”
