  1. firefighters get sleepy *yawn*

  2. SailorTaksu says:

and now they’re not injured. unless they roll onto each other

  3. Eiraha says:

Wow, glad to see our tax money is being well spent….

    • Bob says:

These guys could easily be fighting a forest fire threatening the outskirts of some town. If that is the case, they can sometimes work only getting short breaks. On those breaks they will crash wherever they can to stay rested. Either that, or this was staged right outside the local department for laughs. Firefighters do a lot of hard, dangerous work. Every penny of taxes that go towards that is well spent.

    • viking gal says:

Preventing injuries IS taxes well spent!
That said, this lol is a bit meh.

    • Sarah says:

Oh go screw a duck, if you had half a brain to realize that those men and women risk their lives on a daily basis, sometimes going DAYS without a chance to even rest their eyes, maybe you’d be capable of feeling pity for some of them.

      Good job at life, Eiraha.

    • Cowpie says:

sure, tons of our tax money gets spent without limits (500k a year pension plan?) but your average joe firefighter earns their pay! and with an ‘on call’ schedule, a nap is a must!

all in all, eiraha is a dushbag

    • The Steve says:

Our fire department, and many others are volunteer.

Try to show some respect to the people risking their lives to protect your home and family for little or no pay.

They don’t work an 8 hour day with weekends off like you do, they work until the job is done. They may very well have been on site for 30+ hours during the wildfires in California.

To those of you who do choose this noble and dangerous profession, thank you.

  4. Obviosity says:

    911? Need LOLs, STAT!

    This is sh!t.

  5. Anon says:

HAHAHA!! Yes!!! Those firefighters that work themselvs to a sweaty exhaustion fighting to protect you and your family from fires and collapse on the sidewalk ARE lazy scum!! This one is great!! LOLs all around!

    • charro says:

Mmmm sweaty firefighters.. They can come crash on MY lawn.

      • bad fairie says:

i’ll take them when you’re done drooling over them ;)

        • pittypat says:

Noes! They’re Mexicans! See, they got it going real good and hot south of the border, and, you know, then just spread a rumor that there’s good opportunities up el norte. Because, I mean, ya know, we’re not gonna do anything to stop them from coming across the border…

Oh wait, that was Neal Boortz talking about the Mexicans and the flu? Oh well, never mind.

        • Jane St.Clair says:

You know what else is dirty? Those firemen. What should we do with dirty things… wash them! :D

  6. wiley14 says:

Hey assholes, this is a picture from a few years ago in CA. They were fighting a forest fire and hadn’t slept for 48 hours. Those guys were exhausted.

    • Pitdragon says:

Yeah, I actually remember reading the article with this picture in it (not the caption, of course).

    • ms00 says:

relax the joke is funny except even exhausted they are heroes, and actually quite yummy

      • Catso says:

        Firefighters Rock.
The caption fits the action perfectly.
        The LOL is good.
        The firemen are quite yummy.

    • konkonsn says:

I have a dad and an uncle who are firefighters, and I find this hi-larious. But whutever you want to get your boxers/panties in a bunch over…

I mean, both have gone through shit in their careers and worked hard the whole time. But I tell you, between calls, my Uncle watches NASCAR, and my Dad makes fun of his co-workers for taking O’Reilly seriously.

  7. Addict says:

I think anyone working for the government deserves rest.

  8. HP says:

they can kip in my bed any day …. did i say that out loud ?

  9. homelessgirl says:

I think they are resting after putting out a fire or doing their job not that they are completely lazy

  10. PortlandMark says:

Too Soon! Won’t anyone think of the children?!?

  11. ambervale says:

This picture is from the front page of the Victorian Herald Sun (australia) these guys just fought the horrific bush fires for 48 hrs straight, they slept on the ground for a few hours and then started again.

How do I know? cause I am an Australian and I read that paper.

  12. Brandon says:

i am a fireman and any rest you can get, you better grab it sleep is very very rare, if its 5 min. that 5 of rest

  13. firefighter_raven says:

been a wildland firefighter for last 10 yrs… sleep gets pretty short when the fire is still in the initial attack phase…. so you bunk out when you can… worked all night on some fires, go home sleep bout 3 hours then back out on the line for the day and possibly the night shift again..

  14. *notes all the in bed jokes and realizes that my work is done*

Well, that ended early. *walks quietly into the sunset. Burns up on impact.*
