Wow, that would take a lot of guts to be able to pull that off. I don’t know if I would be able to do something like that just because I am not someone that makes a big statement on how I feel about different situations. Yeah, if you blow the picture up considerably, you can see a square area of pixelation around the hand and extended finger. The brightness of the altered hand, reattached to the arm shows a definite line vertically on the hand with different brightness levels on both sides. The pixelation on the rest of the photo seems to be random.

That’s the point, though- most men aren’t particularly brave or courageous, and the balls are very… sensitive. Therefore, one who isn’t afraid and acts bravely/with guts, must have balls of steel instead of flesh and… flesh, because they can stand up to forces like the one pictured above. Same with ovaries- If you kick a girl *really* hard between the legs, it’s just as bad as being kicked in the balls. Or so my female friends tell me. Anyway, the expression probably exists because guys think “Wow, that guy is brave and gutsy- therefore even his weak points must be hardened, that’s why he’s not afraid of whoever-may-respond to his gutsy actions exploiting him.” And for us, we think weak points to hit, we think the nuts.
