No but he left the friggin’ country for 8 days without bothering to tell the Lt. Gov he was in charge or his staff how to get in touch with him. That is not acceptable in a Governor no matter what. Couldn’t care less about the affair – that’s between him and his wife – although the hypocrisy of the guy calling for Clinton to resign over an affair and now claiming that resigning is not the right thing to do for him does burn quite badly. I personally don’t think he should resign over the affair but I think the SC legislature ought to impeach his ass or whatever their process is for removing him for being AWOL.

And while normally an affair is between two (or however many) people, Sanford campaigned on family values, which an affair is exactly not. He also conducted the affair on taxpayer’s time, with taxpayer’s money. For a politician, it IS an issue.

At least at my office I know they’d make an effort to get me on the phone and see if I was ok…once I had come in the back way, early, and for some reason they didn’t realize I was in my office, and they called me on my cell phone about 11 am to see if I was ok. It was pretty funny, actually.

Yeah, his wife has every right to be mad at him. He’s lucky his wife isn’t the OJ Simpson type. I’m a pretty laid back peace loving guy, but if I found my wife with another man…they might have to die!

He’s not MY governor so it’s a moot point, but I think the bigger issue is not that he cheated on his wife (as far as I’m concerned, that’s between the Sanfords) but that as the leader of the executive branch of his state’s government he disappeared for several days without even telling anyone where he was. That’s not acceptable. It wouldn’t be acceptable for MOST jobs (usually no-call, no-show means when you get back….no-job) but for one with so much responsibility, it’s pathetic.

I bought a magazine subscription because the girl (20ish) who came to the door was SMOKIN hot. She flattered the hell out of me by asking where my wife was, telling me how nice and neat my place was for being a single guy, offering that she was single, etc. Did I ask for her number? of course not…I’m a dumbass like that.

So now I have a subscription to Maxim. Great. If I have time to read, magazines aren’t my first choice. At least I picked one that should have decent pictures.

Sure, he slept with someone besides his wife…does that mean he’s bad at his job?

Why is everyone so mad? He’s not a priest…he’s just a man.

We have a police chief in Milwaukee who’s been caught in an affair and all of a sudden everyone wants him to be fired. Before the scandal he was being commended for doing such a great job, decreasing gang violence and reducing crime in the city by the largest margin in recent history. So he slept with someone besides his wife… I personally don’t care as long as he keeps cleaning up the streets so I can go downtown without getting car-jacked.

I was too busy noticing how the boys seem to resemble each other in pairs – 1&3, 2&4. 3&4 resemble each other fairly closely, but the even/odd thing is more noticeable to me.
