I dunno I’ve always thought Mcartney is a pretentious narcissistic dick. Which explains why he married heather mills in the first place.
George Harrison seemed more talented and a more genuine person.
I actually like Paul and never really considered him pretentious. But, you do make a valid point about George. Plus, I think George had more of a social conscience.
I also agree that George is frequently underrated, but how can anyone hate on Paul?! AND he married Heather Mills after an appropriate length of time following the death of his wife who, by all accounts, he was faithful too. If you’re going to call him a narcissist for marrying a younger chick you’ll have to include a lot of people in that. A lot of guys want to, it’s just that Paul has the money and status to do it.
That and he was a f*cking Beatle.

St. Louis was all abuzz when Paul went on his Route 66 trip and stopped here. It was like a celebrity had never been in town before or something. I guess you don’t see too many Beatles in town incognito. I saw him in concert during his Back in the US tour. That was one of the highlights of my life for sure.
And to be fair, she was younger but she was also one-legged. No offense to any one-legged PKers, but I imagine he could have got a two-legged trophy wife if it was just arm candy he was after.
Plus she was easy to catch in a game of tag..
When Paul first married Heather and I saw her picture, I was struck by the strong resemblance between Heather and Linda when she was younger. I thought at the time “Uh-oh…he’s trying to replace Linda with a younger lookalike. That’s not going to go well…” I didn’t think it was pretentious; I did think it was sad.
My uncle would be called a narcissist. He married a 28 year old chick @ 47…. and she was his sixth wife (though he married one twice).

Thanks to Linda, Paul was a champion of animal rights for years. George certainly was a lot stronger than Paul in that area, but Paul still has plenty of social conscience. (Paul’s my favorite in case you hadn’t guessed.)
He’s mine too. And actually, if I had to peg a narcissist out of the group it’d be John.
