His come to my area a couple times. Once when he came to a local high school to talk about the economy (our city had one of the highest unemployment in the country) and most recently when he spoke at Notre Dame. But I avoid Notre Dame like the plague anyway and both times I was at home with no where to go so it didn’t bother me.

During his inauguration here in DC, the Big businesses said don’t come to work. They also shut down 12 miles of highway going into the city (ALL of 395). So the side roads to get around within the Beltway were jammed all day. Just for one man. I don’t get it.

It was the same way with several visits of G W Bush in Charlotte NC. And since there are only so many way to get from the airport to uptown, they shut them ALL down for security reasons. Traffic was a real pain EVERY time.
