Yes the population is 10x greater in the US. So there are roughtly 10x the patients utilizing 10x the doctors. The ability to find a specialist should be reasonably similar, and is primarly dependent on other variables than population.

The ability to find a specialist is not “10x more likely because we have 10x more people.” That just makes no sense whatsoever.

We’ve had this argument before, Timothy- it was pretty much agreed that, regardless of your political opinions on the cost issue, and what it would do to the healthcare industry, that Canada isn’t a viable comparison to the U.S. on socialized healthcare standard simply because of the population there. We have 300 million, they have 30 million, making it 10x more likely for you to find a specialist for whatever treatment you need. Too early in the morning. Rest of what I’m talking about will have to be posted tomorrow, sorry…

Only thing that came to mind was a organ transplant. But even tests will take longer to get done. we dont need to be spending this much money just to make sure that everyone has health care. you give all of te hospitals that use this health plan a check each month for the uninsured, the deficit is just going to get bigger, putting the U.S in deeper and deeper debt.

I don’t like the proposed “health care” stuff either, but there’s got to be a better example than kidney transplants — any type of wait for organ transplants is going to be largely based on the availability of matching organs for transplant.

No, he’s not bitter. Have you actually looked at what our new scapegoat is trying to pass? Ok, let’s say that you need a Kidney transplant. Right now in the U.S you have to wait a few months. That may seem like a long time, but then you go up to Canada or over to the U.K, and you have to wait YEARS for that same kidney. A socialized health care overhaul is NOT what we need. Nor do we need to save the big companies in order to fix the economy. Please stop trolling and take some time to actually research the plans being put forth by our current president.

we still have our sad VHS copy of that with the awesome commercials. for christmas a few years back i bought my mom the DVD of claymation christmas though. so now we can watch it without fear of the tape breaking!

and yes, the california raisins singing rudolph were the best part. although the reggae camels were pretty awesome in we 3 kings. oooooh or the walruses and penguins! LOL!

this is why i love you folks! so many people have NEVER heard of claymation christmas.
