  6. Eric-in-STL says:

Nobody knew that Thomas had become suicidal.

    • Igloo McCoy says:

His earlier depression seemed to have been resolved, though nobody realized that the sudden optimism was just a temporary high.

      • Eric-in-STL says:

Apparently Thomas had become very cross after Gordon told him he was a useless piece of shit. And Emily said she was leaving him for Percy and was having Percy’s baby. Plus, the death of George Carlin was very very hard on Thomas.
(Anyone with kids who has ever had to watch Thomas & Friends hopefully will find humor in this.)

  7. The Steve says:

Hi! Today some bad things happened. One bad thing was, some trains got crashed in New Jersey. People won’t be late for work though, cause the Governor lady said “I’m sending in more trains!”

    • Silver Turtle says:

New Jersey? That’s just an accident waiting to happen! On the more serious side — does anyone know what rail line this was? If it’s CSXT, then it’s a wonder it was only that bad.

Where I live, CSXT has a derailment about 3 to 4 times a week — all the money that should be spent on track maintenance goes into the pockets of the executives. Then they have the chutzpah to ask Congress to pass a law making AMTRAK liable for all damages on their lines, EVEN IF IT’S CSXT’S FAULT!.

Everyone — write your Congressman and Senators to overturn this law; let’s not let the murderers get away with it!

[aw crap! hurt my knees getting down off the soapbox]

      • IdiotFoamer says:

CSXT has always had the worst track. They dont give a shit about Amtrak. This particular wreck happened when a idiot drove his truck infront of the train. Wht is it that when a freight derails, no one cares, but when Amtrak does, its national attention?

    • Meowth says:

Okay, ANOTHER Futurama reference… That is two PKs in a row, there. Different people, though.

  8. Captain Wow says:

    *squints*
    Is that Amy Winehouse driving?
    -
    Okay, bad joke.

  9. notanenigneer says:

this railway company should invest in better tracks and tech stuff… googling things like “Gleisbau” , “Stellwerke” , “Waggon” would have helped preventing this (yes, i know too much about railways tech, especially in Germany… :-D (*goes on with checking rail screws…*)

  10. Rafiq of the many says:

    Conjuction junction what’s your function?

  11. Jane St.Clair says:

Awwww, The Little Engine that Failed.

  12. slic says:

  13. mothergoose says:

    Dennis Miller:

“I don’t even like riding on trains. We’ve all seen the movies where you’re riding alng and someone reaches up and pulls on that cord. I don’t want to be on any form of transportation where the public has access to the fu(king brakes, okay? I’d hate to hear that I die in some horrific train accident because while we were rolling along at a hundred-miles-per-hour, Gus thought he saw a woodchuck.”

    • Tessie says:

Ah, for the good old days, when Dennis Miller was sort of funny.

    • paws4thot says:

Logic and humour fail. Just why should applying the service brakes on a rail guided vehicle be any more destabilising because a passenger does it than because the driver does it? In any event, the “communications chord” used to be exactly that; a way of communicating to the conductor that his services were urgently required in a specific train car.

  14. Blockhed13 says:

What happend is that it hit a dump truck. Now we know why we shouldn’t give licesces to illegil imagrints

  15. chayes19 says:
