Just watched some old Lonesome Lenny. While he did call everyone George, and said he would pet them and play with them, that’s not the quote. The quote “I will hug him and love him and call him George” was, in fact, Looney Toons. Although both are a nod to the inspiration of both characters, Lenny from Of Mice and Men.
