  1. “…but don’t worry about that. It’s got all new treads, a tank cannon, and seating for six. Just think of how safe your family will be in this vehicle.”

  2. lowly grunt says:

Someone should have photo shopped a gold fish onto this….

  3. develish1 says:

give it a week, it’ll be up on graigslist, lol

  4. jon says:

Well seeing as though its a toy tank, you may not even need to photoshop one

  5. lulwut says:

This feels very uninspired. Or no?

    • lowly grunt says:

      Goldfish crackers, even.

      • lolkitteh21122112 says:

No, it is definately real. I have seen similar photographs of tanks that had slipped off of the landing vessel during an amphibious assult. The type in the photo is a Stuart light tank. I will do some analysis on the photo to see if it is photoshopped

  6. Factchecker says:

Looks like this might have been a part of the remnants of Operation Hailstorm, when US forces sank an enormous chunk of the Japanese fleet in the Chuuk Islands in 1944.

  7. brak says:

    Just show me the Tankfax.

  8. angie says:

jeez richie what have you and 45 commando been up to now, he he, told you about the tank driving before.

  9. Carrion says:

these are part of a group of AA tanks which were dumped into the water near isreal/egypt boarder and they are a popular diving atraction.

there are some valentine tanks in portsmouth harbour as well.

  10. melliemichelle1 says:

    Should’ve turned left at Albuquerque….

  11. ay dios mio says:

No officer I don’t need any help! She’s just a bit flooded, we’ll be alright!

  12. Foamer says:

Looks a lot like an M42 Duster tracked anti-aircraft vehicle – basically a couple of 40-mm guns mounted on an M-41 Walker Bulldog chassis. Maybe an M19 which is the same turret on the earlier M24 Chaffee chassis.

  13. AC says:

Yup, that’s a jap tank on the bottom of sea floor all right. How it got there may perhaps have something to do with a landing craft that’s blown outta proportion by a US frigate anyway.

  14. Soonnoos says:

    Artificial reef FTW!

  15. bitter troll says:

bitter troll wants a troll tank for trollmas

  16. notanengineer says:

nice idea: avoiding the costs of scrapping this mess and declaring it “good for the marine life”… US solution FAIL…. btw why do zombies or brain-eating aliens only occur in America… I bet european brains are healthier (better flesh than rapidly-breeded fat, healthier liquor (no not liquor you get at a alc shop!!) …..

    • Squiggly says:

Zombies do not only occur in America… 28 Days Later takes place in the UK but I suppose you could argue that they aren’t traditional zombies… Dead Snow takes place in Norway… Resident Evil has zombies in Africa… And I’m no alien expert but I think most of the alien brain eating goes on in outer space.

      • notanengineer says:

srry… should watch more zombie movies… till i die.. :-P erm no… *gets teared to pieces by a zombie and sprays blood over the pc*

      • Jane St.Clair says:

Shaun of the Dead??!! Can’t get more British than that.

        • lowly grunt says:

          LOVED that movie!

I do have a serious objection to 28 Days – zombies should not be able to SPRINT. That is just wrong. And really really really scary.

          • HelOnWheels says:

I read/heard (can’t for the life of me remember where) that they aren’t zombies in “28 Days Later”, at least not in the classical sense. They’re people who were infected by an Ebola-like hemorrhagic fever that killed the rational brain. So they are supposed to be sick people driven “mad” by a bleeding brain.

    • HelOnWheels says:

Uhm, excuse you, but the U.S. is not the only country that creates artificial reefs. Do some research before you comment like a butt-head.

  17. spacebat says:

    It’s a fish tank.

  18. Foamer says:

    I think that’s a hatch, not a radar dish…

    – the M19 had the same turret mounted much further back on the chassis:

  19. Cheese says:

This is one of many tanks sunk off of St Petersburg, FL to start a new coral reef. Lots of fun to dive!

    • dontthinkso says:

Nope — the water off of St Pete has never been that clear and blue (spent 20 years diving off of St Pete)

These are tropical waters far away from a major mainland.

  21. Skripkos says:

Location in the Red Sea, Jordan; M42 Duster Anti-Aircraft Vehicle

  22. Chuck Norris will fix it :)

  23. rob says:

wrong kind of tank with water in it.

  24. Kurtz1916 says:

Thats a German SdKfz 223 Flakpanzer. Basically a copy of the American AA vehicles that mounted two 40mm cannons. This one was used by the Israeli Military in the 50s and is sitting at the bottom of a river. Its in too good of condition for ocean water, yeah?
