I was at the mall last night with a friend who just happens to be black and all these kids who just happened to be black were in the department store acting loud and stupid. When we left, I was driving towards the mall exit and there were police cars and mall security trying to break up a fight that those same kids had gotten into. They were making fools of themselves, drawing a crowd… they probably thought little of the fact that the cops had to be called in. I remembered seeing this picture and had to come home and look it up. I think Dr. King would be disgusted to see this kind of behavior. My friend and I then went across the street to Target and saw a white guy getting arrested, supposedly for shoplifting. Stupid knows no race I guess.

When we “remember” that we are all the human race, what a wonderful world this will be. I thank God everyday for people like Dr King and Rosa Parks and all the others that made it possible for us “white” people to adopt our daughter. We have 6 birth children and shes 16 now. We got her when she was 9 days old. Shes the joy of our lives. I forget I didnt give birth to her.She’s a wonderful person and has already made such a difference in peoples lives.

The color of your skin is dark or light depending on the melanin level in your skin. “White” people have low melanin in their skin, due to recessive genes. “Black” people have high melanin in their skin, due to dominant genes.

So honestly, does nationality really matter in stereotypes/racism? We are all one race. The *human* race. Different ranges of color in skin means absolutely nothing.

Yes, the oppression people face that leads them to America is not always because of a failing of the nation itself. However, I agree with gniknihtdrawkcab’s overall sentiments. Everyone should probably assimilate if they freely move here, and by that, I pretty much mean learn English so that you will have a voice.
The Native Americans should have been allowed to integrate, however…

There is a time and a place for certain clothing. You don’t hear any complaints about two piece bathing suits at the pool or on a beach, but I guarantee you if a girl tried to wear the same thing to a grocery store or a similar place, there’d be issues.

‘It’s not like you are seeing anything other than their boxers anyway.’ Societal norms dictate that it is improper to sees a person’s undergarments in public. Hence the reason girls don’t go walking around in bra and underwear and nothing else. And why those who go around with underwear you can see are treated the way they are.

There are certain rules of decency to follow when in a public place.
