Wrong. On at LEAST 2 points:
1) Semantics studies meaning, not the finer points of punctuation.
2) A compound word often gets its hyphen removed after a long period of common usage, or, depending on the particular style of the setting, for example, an academic paper, journalism, or in medical usage. My own experience is with the medical profession, and most hyphenated compound words have their hyphens removed, as the superfluous keystrokes that they are. I say: “copout” is perfectly fine.

On top of that, when has a government estimate of cost EVER been REMOTELY close? When Obama claims that this will be budget neutral, all I see is money running out of the Treasury as fast as they can print it because for some reason that no one thought of, now we’re an additional 9 billion over budget.

The point is that this healthcare insurance overhaul is supposed to benefit those without insurance. So why aren’t we focusing on those who don’t have insurance? We’re not, we’re revamping an entire program that doesn’t need revamping. It needs fixing, not a complete overhaul!

Pell Grants: Free money for college.

I would respectfully argue that investing in educating the poor is a pretty damn good investment in higher future income (e.g., becoming a taxpayer) and lower future expenses (e.g., less likely to need government assistance or prison).

I never said the Democrats were trying to give the poor a “lifestyle”, but they do give them most everything they need to live:
Government Housing: free or nearly free if you are a single mother
Food Stamps: Hundreds of dollars a month worth.
Child Tax Credits: Even if they don’t pay any taxes they will get thousands of dollars a year.
Pell Grants: Free money for college.
Student Loans: The government will now give you student loans and if you go to work for the government or a non-profit when you graduate you don’t have to pay back a penny. Just don’t go to work for one of those nasty companies that tries to make money or you will have to pay it all back with interest.

Don’t say that there is no grain of truth to what I say when you don’t even check your figures before you post them.
